My brother, you broke this shit down exactly how I needed to see it. You saved me hundreds of$$$$ The frustration I had trying to figure this out is now gone. Thank you
It's crazy I can pull a motor apart and rebuild with easy on my mustang. But zero knowledge on lighting. I like the advice with silicone. I'm going to be opening my headlamp assembly on my 12 mustang and add a strip towards the bottom. Thanks for video
I was convinced that having them at the bottom of the headlight was cooler but you've convinced me to have them up there since we have the same headlight shape 😮
Thank you for the video. Here's a small tip: the pins at the end of the wires are supposed to be pushed into the appropriate holes in the back of the headlight connector. In that case, you won't need the wire-tapping clips.
so you put the small balck wire in the Negative black wire at the back , The yellow wire goes two where you sais you found the 12 volt is that the top second or third slots from the top, my question is where did you put the RED WIRE, YOU MOVED TO FAST, could not get a properly look at that. any help would be appreciated. cheers Hans in the UK.
Ok i found my turing signal wire when i connect my led turning signal wire it works but stays on indicating won't turn of the led keeps flashing constantly please help
Really good so far! One of them was flickering because the wire was lose so I fixed it and haven't had any issues. Even in -15 degree weather they work
Wish I could install in rear brake lights cause I want a car that has really low turn signal lights and they’re separated from the brake lights 😕 so I don’t think it’s possible aghh
Hey I'm sorry for the late response. I think they are visible enough in the daytime. The way I installed mine, they are more visible than the turn signals in the actual headlights.
10:20 I noticed your strip comes with a control box… mine didn’t come with the control box and the guy said it didn’t need one… what does the control box do?
@@Dank_Nuggets_ your car might not be wired for DRL lights. You might just have to wire it into your parking lights or fog lights and turn them on manually with your light switch in your car.
Yes, you will just choose what you want to wire them to. You can tap them into the main headlights so they are on when the headlights are on. Or if you have fog lights, you can wire them into those. Or you can just use the turn signals
They don't drain the battery bc they only go on when the car is on (and the battery is being charged). That's why it's so key to connect them to the correct wires.
This is by far some of the worst advice with regard to installing anything and even dangerous with regard to sticking the end of an end item into random holes to learn what wire has 12V on it...
Talk a little quicker bud... your life a zombie... explain further on subject...research! Cars blink fast like that to indicate that there is a blown out disconnected turn signal bulb...😂😂

Thanks! I'm glad it helped man
Speaking layman's language is key a lot of times. This tutorial isn't college but it is better explained. Thanks man 😎

Haha thanks, I'm glad it was helpful!
Can I see the result? I have the ‘24 GT and want to add light
Engines are complex but not electrical component complex.
@chris03661 I did it on my 2012 mustang bro. Super easy and clean. I got the LED Hood strip
You explained alot of the questions I was having along the way with other videos. Great stuff in explaining what's going on.
Best explanation I’ve seen yet thanks so much brother!
Litteraly one the best ones yet on these LED sequential set ups ...good vid bro
I was convinced that having them at the bottom of the headlight was cooler but you've convinced me to have them up there since we have the same headlight shape 😮
Most newer cars have them on top so yeah
best video i seen on this, u can clearly see what ur doing unlike the other videos
Do the led strips turn off when turning on low beam (so therefore when drl turns off)?
Hey, thanks for helping people sort out this stuff even after six months
Happy to help!
Thanks for this video. This is by far the best tutorial on how to install these drl on TH-cam .
Much appreciated 👌🏼
Thank you! I'm so glad it helped!

Just a check up on this, are they still running well and on the car? (If you still have the car)
Awesome video. does the turn signal work if there is no key in the ignition ?
Have you got any idea why my turning signal light doesn't work when car is on and works fine when engine is off?
Thanks man for this tutorial. I just bought mines today and I was struggling to find which wires to connect and now I know how.
Glad it helped man!

RED + 12V TO POWER. YELLOW indicator live. black ground
How did you know the indicator live wire I watched you put in the black and red ????????
So, how long did they hold up..?
Ok i found my turing signal wire when i connect my led turning signal wire it works but stays on indicating won't turn of the led keeps flashing constantly please help
How do I know what voltage clamps to use for these...sorry I'm a bit confused as there seems to be lots of different clamp voltages?
I didn't consider that in my install but your car battery voltage will typically run at 13.5 to 14.5 volts.
Any specific LED kit that you recommend to purchase for this?
Link in the description!
what do I do if I don't want the white light to be on all the time, but only have it for the turn signal? I need only turn signal
You can only wire the turn signal. Just skip the step to wire the white led lights. I would cut the wire short and put electrical tape on the end.
Thanks for the detailed video!
Why are you so calm
Haha, God just made me like that.
He is well suited to be a teacher. 🤣
Can you insert the LED wires into the female port of the head lamp and just push in the electrical lead from car? I'm seriously asking.
I think it's possible but might be less reliable.
How have they held up
Really good so far! One of them was flickering because the wire was lose so I fixed it and haven't had any issues. Even in -15 degree weather they work
Is there a way to attach them inside the headlight itself?
I'm sure you could but it would be pretty involved. You'd have to take apart the headlight housing and make sure to seal it back up.
Where did you buy your after market head lights
Honestly its been a while but I'm pretty sure I found them on Amazon.
How did you find the earth hole in the socket?
What if you don't want the drl, just the indicator. ?
Don't wire the DRL then. Just cap or tape the wire for that so it doesn't make contact with other conductors
Wish I could install in rear brake lights cause I want a car that has really low turn signal lights and they’re separated from the brake lights 😕 so I don’t think it’s possible aghh
Hey bro, are they visible during the daytime? I was thinming of getting rid of the blinkers and relying on the sequentials alone. What do you think?
Hey I'm sorry for the late response. I think they are visible enough in the daytime. The way I installed mine, they are more visible than the turn signals in the actual headlights.
How would I connect led strip light to a jaguar 2011
10:20 I noticed your strip comes with a control box… mine didn’t come with the control box and the guy said it didn’t need one… what does the control box do?
I think the box regulates the power flow so your turn signal doesn't end up blinking really fast or something like that.
Definitely test yours before finishing the install to make sure they work right
Can you use all blue T tap clips ? Or do you actually need different size ones cause I couldn’t find yellow at the store?
I don't think you really need different size ones as long as they aren't too big. If they are too big they won't make a solid connection.
@@WintersReviews ok I have 6 blues ones ima try ..
I cannot find DRL socket I got black to the negative and tested all of the holes I can’t get it to light up lol
I found low beams and the turn signal wires but nun of them light up when I have car on DRLs
@@Dank_Nuggets_ your car might not be wired for DRL lights. You might just have to wire it into your parking lights or fog lights and turn them on manually with your light switch in your car.
Problem is for cars like audi, vw with canbus are these finally error free ?
I'm sorry, I'm not sure on that
Are the strips bright enought to see in daylight?
Yes, not super well, but yes.
will this work if my car doesn't have DRL's? I have a 2011 mazda 3
Yes, you will just choose what you want to wire them to. You can tap them into the main headlights so they are on when the headlights are on. Or if you have fog lights, you can wire them into those. Or you can just use the turn signals
I want to know how I switch the blue to the Amber and just run the Amber
Just wire the amber into your running lights instead of the turn signal wire.
thank you, good video, greetings from Czech Republic
Thank you!
its a shame to did not do a slow full close d up how you tapped al 3 3wires on the back of the headllightes sockets. cheers Hans.
Take the car to wash, will it be damaged?
And is it resistant to water?
Yes, I have washed my car many times and they still work good. The key is to seal the components with silicone!
Well done. Thanks for your time!
Thanks alot your explanation were so complete and joyful to learn
Wish youbeternal success and God Bless
Thanks for sharing with us❤❤
Thank you so much! I'm glad it was helpful!
I have some of these but in bright light you can hardly see them
Do these cause your battery to be dead after a while?
They don't drain the battery bc they only go on when the car is on (and the battery is being charged). That's why it's so key to connect them to the correct wires.
good explanation
Si funcionan bien porque de otras marcas se funden rápido y no funciona bien el ámbar ?
Ace video👌🏽highly appreciated will be doing this tomorrow, top man!
Excellent video, well explained too....👌🏽
nnice vid man , good work
Easy to connect that wire to the mother of the Wire connect, With goes to the light father of the ligh bulb
great video , very helpful
I have a solder technique on my channel
Great video
dude awesome job man. Love from England 🎉
Thank you!
Nice.... thanks for sharing
Good job bro
Where does the negative go
On the black wire
Thank you so much...❤
Thanks so much basic video❤️❤️
Thanks.
🎉ITS very good
Important: make sure that the silicone does NOT contain 'acetic acid', as it will corrode the electronics...
Thats good advice, thank you!
Why are you so shiny? Great video. Thank you!
Lol because I had a ton of bug spray on 🤣
black test probe
Camara focus. Dude!
I’m scared I’m gonna cut the stock wires and ruin it
Next project idea: upgrade your horn to a two tones.
That's a potential idea for my channel. Subscribe to keep in the loop
Mine got so hot thats why i uninstalled it immediately,, does this happened to yours??
No, that has not happened to mine at all. I've had no issues. I also live in Colorado so the weather isn't very hot.
That doesn't look safe at all. There must be another way, where you don't cut the original wires from the vehicle.
Hehe "Butt splice".... jk... it looks so easy watching someone else install these on youtube, but impossible when i am attempting to do it i swear it
Great video on this same subject on my channel if your interested in a different perspective
Thanks!
This is why I’ve had these for years and never installed them. 😂 too many steps
I mean I wish I knew how scuse me😂

Oh cool, thanks for the knowledge :)
“Your life a zombie” how about you learn english bud?
How did you determine what wire was the one for your indicator please
You have to test it with a multimeter
