“Picking up where Dodge left off”? Only if the Mustang sedan is full-size with a proper sedan body and not a liftback with a tailgate and offers at least a V8 and RWD. This could also become a popular commercial vehicle like the Crown Vic was. As a result, the GT could be used for police fleets and the EcoBoost could be used for taxi fleets. NYC’s taxis could finally become iconic again, as they would be using American full-size RWD sedans like the Crown Vic but with a more fuel-efficient engine. As for the transmission, both an automatic and a manual can be offered like in the regular Mustang. This would also make Charger fans even happier because that never offered a manual transmission despite the demand. The Chevy SS which was discontinued way earlier was the last American full-size sedan with a manual transmission so it was the best alternative to the Charger who wanted a manual transmission. While I prefer an automatic transmission like most Americans do, I’m pointing out a fact for those that prefer to shift gears manually.
You said it exactly correct. Stellantis doesn’t understand the American auto consumer and market. Sounds like Ford will capitalize on that with their line of V8s

On a side note people meat ride the chevy ss, is this not the same? Its just not a sleeper
I would actually buy a 4 door mustang over a new dodge/stellantis, considering the direction they are going. It depends on how the new v6 chargers turn out to be honest, the electric one is just too pricey but they do look nice
@@JJj-xratedgt Legacy in your mind?, the '74 didn't offer a v8, the '79-81 had an 120 hp v8 option only with turbo 4 as the high output engine, most Mustangs sold are 4-6 cylinders. Is that part of the "legacy" also?..
Something about a Charger four door just won't work for Ford. Dodge is more muscle type cruiser while Ford's version would be a high revving sports sedan. IMO, a high revving vehicle does not or will not have the feel of true muscle car. Muscle cars have always had that low end torque feel and sound. The Mustang just does not have that feeling anymore.
I like it !! The original Mustang specs were for a practical back seat. Better to make Mustang a 4 door than an that electric SUV ( yes I’m still mad about that). Kudos to Ford going back to original American recipe of Mustang. Power ( still offers a V8) , style and hopefully 🤞the 4 cylinder turbo ones will be affordable. That would sell like crazy !!
Australian Supercars used to be four door cars. Making the Mustang meet the body line requirements enabled them to add two more doors. Funny how that works out.
I could get down with a 4 door mustang because i always wanted a dodge charger red eye but since they discontinued that car this is the closest I could get to that.
I would buy a 4 door Mustang to replace my Fusion as a commuter and family car. I would absolutely LOVE it if they made a Mustang wagon variant similar to the Audi A6 Avante!!!
Thanks for update. If this car will go into production, and will be long as Charger and same interior space - it will be new ultimate family car / daily driver for muscle car lovers, when their Chargers will worn out.
Racer X the Truth is years of mismanagement. Those LX Cars and HEMI motors (Charger/Challenger/300) have been paid for years ago. They came out in 2008. CDJR sat on the Profits for all those years. Remember the Challenger out sold both the Mustang and Camaro for years. DODGE had time to develop a replacement. Of course EPA Standards are going to go up as Technology moves forward. But CDJR have been mismanaged for years. Remember this isnt the 1st time they were sold off and at one point had to get a Government Bail Out, because of mismanagement. And they are right back there again. And I wouldn't put must faith, in a guy. Backed by the #1 EV Guy... Just saying.
Not just no but HELL NO!!! If they want to build a performance 4 door call it something else. That bastardized MachE was bad enough, calling a four door a Mustang will blow up in their faces. It's like the people in charge aren't even car people.

They shouldn't call it a Mustang they can call it a Falcon. I would would be interested in way more than a EV or Six Pack 🤮. I still don't understand why Dodge couldn't do a hybrid V8 instead of the inline 6. I'm sure it would have been great for smog, fuel economy and power with instant electric torque but no let's do a inline 6 that nobody asked for and put that in everything
Dodge could've done a hybrid V8, but Stellantis didn't want them to. That's the problem with Stellantis. It's a European company that doesn't understand the US market very well. A couple years ago, Ford patented both a Hybrid V8 and a Hybrid Turbo i4, so it's likely that the Mustang will eventually go hybrid in the future. GM has already produced Hybrid V8s in the E-ray Corvette. Ford and GM are more willing to adapt their V8 engines to comply with regulations while Dodge isn't allowed to by its parent company.
You were very nice to the Dodge CEO in your interview with him. I hope off camera you were able to be a bit more of a candid conversation and told him people, at least your viewers (since you brought it up), are hating the direction they are going in.

I have the 2024 GT but as my son gets older I would definitely consider a 4 door with the 5.0. I agree with some others call it the falcon or something different than Mustang.
I'm a diehard Chevy guy but.... I like the length of this sedan mustang. So, it would be nice to see this car just like it is but minus the actual doors. 🤔🤔
Honestly, Id be interested. The reason the Charger was popular was because 4 doors AND the 6.4 at 35-40k precovid. If Ford can replicate that, cool but looking at the Bronco raptor and Ranger raptor - doesnt look like they will offer it at a cost that most would buy it so itll probably flop.
If I were Ford management, I would call the 4 door sedan "Torino" or "Galaxie 500". And I'd have a modern version of the classic stacked quad headlight grille (or side by side quad headlight), and a modern interpretation of the classic "bullseye" taillights. I'd use the vertical rectangular taillights of the 67 Galaxie as inspiration. The hottest version would get the Dark Horse Coyote V8, and offer the Tremec 6 speed.
Honestly, I love my Last Call Charger, but I've been waiting to see if a 4-door mustang came to market and was comfortable. The Challenger didn't handle for me, compared to the Charger. I'm 100% sure I will never sell it trade my Charger, but it's cool to see Ford do it.
This is very exciting if they can keep it at an affordable price. I always wanted dodge to put a 6 speed in the charger. Cadillac V's just get more unattainable and even used ones are still super expensive.

Why couldn’t dodge bring back a redesigned 340 or 360? For that matter a 383 or a 440?
People are upset, but its not like the classic 2 door rwd v8 coupe isnt available. If anything this will help the coupe stay alive. Plus, I'd rather see a muscular sporty Mustang sedan than the mom mobil mach e. Its a hot take, too, but i wouldnt complain if we saw the twin turbo v6 ecoboost as an option, of course if we keep the coyote as an option.
Bring back the Taurus sho stick the 5.0 from the mustang in it
If MUSTANG GOES 4 DOOR THEY FINALLY FOUND A WAY TO KILL THR LEGACY AS THE LONGEST RUNNING PONY!
True but they already tarnished that name with that awful mach-e
@@rikwilkinson1451Jim Farley doesn’t even consider that a Mustang. Lmao.
They aren't trying to be a Dodge.
Yes I will buy Mustang 4 door V8 vs Charger six pack hurricane 4 door.
i find sedan is more value for money then 2 door
Wow《☆》Brilliant Foward👍🏾😎🤳
Australian Supercars used to be four door cars. Making the Mustang meet the body line requirements enabled them to add two more doors. Funny how that works out.
That’s a fusion
I could get down with a 4 door mustang because i always wanted a dodge charger red eye but since they discontinued that car this is the closest I could get to that.
I would buy a 4 door Mustang to replace my Fusion as a commuter and family car. I would absolutely LOVE it if they made a Mustang wagon variant similar to the Audi A6 Avante!!!
Thanks for update. If this car will go into production, and will be long as Charger and same interior space - it will be new ultimate family car / daily driver for muscle car lovers, when their Chargers will worn out.
Hell yeah I would buy.a 4-Door Mustang, it would compliment the 2-Door i want!
No it won't. I am a die hard Mustang guy, but it will sell very well. It fits an existing market hole and it looks really good.
Call it a falcon like we had in Aus till 2016
Four door and an off road option are a slam dunk, sign me up! Great video.
Love the video BUT what makes it even more interesting (in a great way) is that you had OCMotivator shirt on. He has a great channel also!
I wish Ford would consider bringing Crown Victoria and Ford Taurus along with four Mustang sedan Law inforcement there a avoid left because Dodge Charger 2005-2023 V6 and 5.7 Hemi, I Think Ford four door Mustang sedan Law inforcement interceptor would be very popular in the law enforcement department community Ford Motor maybe considering door Mustang sedan for Law enforcement interceptor probably could become reality in the future, Ford Explorer Police Interceptor is coolest looking SUV 3.5 Ecoboost V6 Twin Turbos, civilian Ford Explorer I can't believe since 1991-2024 33 years now Ford Explorer trend seller.
It'll give me a chuckle seeing these on the road in my ZL1.
I would consider the 4 door Mustang! Now because of my line of work, I need to be able to get through snow... I currently have an 05 GT 5 speed that I do not drive in the snow.
I will buy it if they make it. Love the 4door renders so far. Can’t wait
I think that would be worth a look .4door standard mustang. And look good doing it.
I have a Dodge Durango R/T, and I must say those Mustang V8s sound so good, I wish mine sounded that good.
I think this would do well for Ford. It worked for Dodge with the old Charger.
@@Akapaco2 yep those are facts
I'd definitely switch over to ford if it looks like that with a 5.0
I'll give it consideration for sure if this happens💯
Definitely would go drive a 4 Door Mustang. Being that Lincoln Town Car is one of my favorites. I am interested in a Mustang type.
You were very nice to the Dodge CEO in your interview with him. I hope off camera you were able to be a bit more of a candid conversation and told him people, at least your viewers (since you brought it up), are hating the direction they are going in.
Well I’m going to buy a V8 coupe but if I had to choose between a 4 door 6 cylinder or 4 door V8 honestly I’m going to get the V8.
If dodge went to the drawing board and couldn't come up with a better designed v8, then they are idiots. Other companies did it, no problem.
Why not just bring back the Taurus?
Dodge will drop a Hemi back in the Charger if Ford takes a bite of sales.
Ford had the perfect opportunity, perfect 4 door sedan in Australia the falcon, they could've also build in the U.S., u guys would've loved em sadly they ended in 2016.
Came as a ecoboost included from 08, a 4L ,4L turbo, 5.4 mod or supercharged coyote in the fpv range.
Mines an 09 fg xr6t 500hp manual it's a hoot.
Honestly they should call it a falcon and add in the barra option 👌
Exciting, mach 4 doesn't sound bad either
id definitely consider purchasing this 4 door mustang.
They just need to base it off of a fusion body with slightly sharper body lines and obviously front end , back end, and engine
Could not believe the title and had to click on it immediately!!!
I remember hearing rumors of a 4 door mustang around 2013-2014, then they released the Mach E, so I assumed that was it. This is interesting.
I'm liking that first rendering ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Very interesting.Thank you ,truly informative.
As long as the manual is a stick shift and not a slap shift‼️ 6:14
4 door manual Mustang with turbos would be cold !!
This is very exciting if they can keep it at an affordable price. I always wanted dodge to put a 6 speed in the charger. Cadillac V's just get more unattainable and even used ones are still super expensive.
