  • In this big picture talk, award winning speaker and entrepreneur Josephine Lee stokes our curiosity by asking “if we cannot see what we can’t describe, is it possible then that words can change everything?” Learn about the words that exist in only particular cultures and about an instance when just one word was able to make a world of difference. Josephine Lee is an industry leading entrepreneur and an award winning international speaker.
She graduated from the University of Southern California in 2010 with a degree in Communication and joined Toastmasters in 2011 to continue her education. In 2016, she rose above 35,000 contestants to win 3rd place in the World Championship of Public Speaking. This etched her in history as the first Korean American woman to place in the final stage. Since then, she has given keynotes all over the world including the Middle East where she was the first lady champion to be invited to speak.
In business, after recognizing a need for more accessible and knowledgeable pointe shoe fittings, she started a traveling pointe shoe fitting company called The Pointe Shop in January of 2014. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
