With this new reveal, I think this would be an appropriate time for a retrospective on The Fallen. Ever since Lucifer was banished from Heaven, many fictional worlds have their own take on the Fallen Angel trope. In the world of the Transformers, Megatronus’ fall from grace is one of either personal greed like in the movies or tragedy like in the Aligned Continuity. Plus, his most recent appearance is in Transformers One.
Studio Series Constructicons and Devastator are my main priority for 2025, I’ve completed the ROTF Constructicons back in 2020 and now I’m doing the same with G1.
I’m glad the plastic cover is returning because missing heads/ figures have been an issue in my area. I also hope I can find the Hook and Long Haul 2 pack in stores as Commanders in retail stores like Walmart and Target are hard to find here on the west coast.
Only the big stores in the big cities carry Commanders & Titans. None of the small stores in my area, the far Eastern tip of TN. carry those 2 classes.
The Fallen is so hype. Such a great figure and a really nice way to mix together so many different elements of the character. Like his robot mode is mainly Dreamwave inspired but he also has the Aligned/IDW Requiem Blaster, a staff similar to the one used by the Bayverse Fallen and the staff even splits into two different weapons based on ones used by RID2015 Megatronus. The SS86 Constructicons and Gamer Edition Ironhide also have me really excited. G1 Devy is my favourite combiner and WFC Ironhide is my favourite design for the character so to get both in the same year is great. In terms of toys, 2025 is shaping up to be an awesome year!
I really wanted to get CW Devastator when I was young and now I can get a G1 Devastator that can scale with Legacy Menasor! (And The Fallen looks gorgeous!)
Dude, that Devastator has me hyped! I also love the animated promo videos they did for the first two members of the Constructicons. Stuff like that really helps make this feel like an event. I’m also excited to see what they’ll do with the other combiners, like Superion and Bruticus. As for the Primes, that Liege Maximo looks faithful to the G2 comic, which is my favorite design for him. I might end up buying it if they do a good job maintaining that eldritch demon look.
The Studio Series AOE Optimus Prime DOTM Que, & WFC GE Ironhide are my highlights for the Wave 2 “space bridge” reveals. The SS86 Devastator & AOTP Megatronus are epic reveals, both MCM & 1027 were good this year!
These reveals will save me money, I don`t think I'll need another Devastator (but I might be tempted in getting the conscruticons for individuals bot mode, not sure yet). Thanks for sharing this, and see you this weekend!
FINALLY plastic cover packaging, thank god! Constructicons are deluxe and voyager classes also because the voyagers will bring Devy components. In robot modes, they will all be the same scale.
The voyagers require ratchet joints for the ankles. They may come with some parts for Devastator, but the core parts required will 100% be in the commander pack.
Correction its Grand Scourge, not Nemesis Prime, hasbro never released a repaint of Energon Prime. Grand scourge was a model kit then a combiner wars repaint from Takara. I do want the Megatronus
Since I think Liege Maximo on the fallen box art based on his G2 form I think this might hint that all the primes who appeared prior to the aligned continuity might have toys based on that version which means that we’re going to have Nexus prime as a Energon combiner and since a lot of us when we see a new transformers toy, we like to speculate on what it can be retooled into that means we’re gonna get two of the three Energon combiners
CW Devastator has been on my wishlist for a long time, but I've never gotten around to buying it. I kinda love the sheer size of it, but at the same time this one looks really good and I kinda want it...I have a funny feeling I'm going to end up getting both eventually. I still have the G2 version that I got when I was a kid, and the Classics version as well...I'm probably gonna have to dedicate a full shelf to Devastators eventually, he's kind of one of my favorites.
Yeah I don't know why the writers of the alined continuity thought making Optimus a reincarnated demigod was a good idea. It's not cool. It just makes all he's done less impressive. When I found out he wasn't a reincarnated Prime in TF ONE, it felt like a big weight was lifted off of my shoulders lol. Hoping we at least get all 13 primes in this new line.
SS86 Devastator looks cool! Having already purchased Combiner Wars Devastator, I can't justify buying it to my wife. Now, speaking as a G2 fan, I'm stoked for the possibility of a Liege Maximo figure! Jhiaxus blew me away in the Legacy line, so I'm giggling like a kid again! Give me G2 Rook as well, and I can die happy!
I'm definitely excited for Devastator and Megatronus/The Fallen! These both have me speculating on what the future combiners and 13 Primes are going to look like.
For star convoy I think the idea is that the 13th prime basically just has the face of Optimus because that is the face of a leader like G2 Pyro and sure shot, and the beast wars Maximos leaders who all have the face of Optimus, and and car robots is fire convoy became an Optimus prime in the west so I think that might be what they’re going for

I saw all these on Saturday and When I first noticed the shotgun on the GameEd Ironhide, I just about jumped out of my chair squealing like a fan girl.
I’m beyond excited for the new Megatronus/The Fallen figure. He looks awesome! I’m super happy he’s based on the Dreamwave design mixed with different continuities. I can’t wait to see the other Primes to be revealed. Also, the new Devastator looks epic! I only hope, like they did with the Stunticons, they’ll do a Multipack at the end to get them all at once
The grey prototype for SS’86 Devastator is what I was hoping he would look like given the budget and I can’t wait to complete him especially since Scrapper and Bonecrusher both look Freakin’ amazing , Megatronus the Fallen is also an amazing figure and is a definite must buy (I was also hoping the Transformers design team would go with the “Walking Furnace” look )
Glad to finally get a glimpse of Devastator but I wish there was a more detailed look at how the figures actually combine. That's what I'm really curious about.
Looks like there chest plate, and crotch and thighs are seperate pieces. Looks like there may be a big assembly that attaches to the back and has the arms. If you notice Long Haul is literally just sitting in his waist in truck mode.

There definitely looks like there is something extra going on in the armpit area for lack of a better word. Seeing it stood next to Menasor is a night and day difference in design. I really hate those arms that just have two car halves slapped on them. I get what they were going for but I think they missed the mark with that design.

But that brings up concerns over whether the arm would be sturdy enough etc etc. I just really want to know how Devastators arms work. Because they can’t rotate above the treads. They said the deluxes have 0 ratchet joints, and they wouldn’t make his shoulders a friction joint.
Devastator is SMALL! Think about this, put those tracked movers next to Primes freightliner. That gonna look right to you? If they're bobcats maybe lol
The issue is that people often wait and expect to find transformers in the wild, which isn’t always the case. I was able to collect all the Stunticons without any problems.
I have the Unite Warriors Stuntacons, which are just the CW figures in show accurate colors. I've been displaying them in their vehicle modes since they are more modern versions of the 80s model vehicles, which the Legacy version reflects.
With windowless boxes my concern was how easily a foreign object could access the box and scrap or chip the figure, so glad the windows are finally on the way back
No one gonna mention liege maximo looks like a faithful G2 version!😊😊😊 He really should be titan class but TBH im just amazed i get one at all to put next to jhiaxus. With the fallen this is a Golden age for us comics fans 😀😀
I too have a breakdown in forever order limbo. I actually bought the complete menesar set just to get him. But still want the single for display purposes. I hope the constracons are easier to get. Maybe they could exchange them with the 50 million 86 bumblebees still on Walmart shelves.
Saying that Jazz had a starring role in TF One is a wild over-exaggeration, RP! Twas barely more than a cameo! Anyways... I'm on board for Devastator, even if the $210 combined pricetag is a bit spicy, at least they work as individual Constructicons, & he looks sturdy as a bunch of smaller construction vehicles smashed together--though more "fight inside of Astrotrain" size than epic "take over NYC" scale. Next to Menasor... Menasor in particular needs longer thighs to look more proportionate.
The Fallen looks awesome I'm not sure about Devastator yet got the CW one with upgrades and toyhax stickers now getting the mecha invasion and mmc versions i might want and see if they do a g2 box set version later
Both look awesome. Im super excited. But now devy wont scale with omega supreme. Not sure how i feel about that. Cw devy was perfect for omega. Unless they plan on redoing the entire line.
You might be right on the money when it comes to speculation, whether that's going to be a retool of Studio series Megatron or vice versa , if you think about it as far as scale, not to mention accessories, and the suppressor definitely looks like the nozzle of the g1 megatron gun mode.. FINALLY! THE TRUE FALLEN GETS A PROPER FIGURE IN THE MAINLINE! He was taller than Grimlock, there for I would've made him a commander class. Still this is the definitive Fallen! He in the original Dreamwave one, with weapons of the other fallens. Requiem Blaster for the Mega man Fallen, spear- scepter for the Movie Fallen, and the Staff from the RID one (The worst fallen). Definitely the BEST FALLEN,Dream wave Fallen, with the weapons of the rest... Devastator! AWESOME DEVASTATOR! Still I will keep my Takara Unite Warriors Devastator to fight against Titan Omega Supreme. The Takara one came with the guns for constructions, and all of them have elbows, the colors are the correct ones and he has the option of having eyes uncovered or the visor. I can't get rid of him. But this new Devastator is AMAZING!!! I'll get it too!
Que IS Wheeljack, in the Bayverse. BB and ROTB are their own universe and not Bayverse. Also, I believe it was Evan that confirmed Megatronus Prime here is not intended to have any retool. So SS86 Megatron will be its own new mold.
This makes more sense in terms of scaling. Combiners shouldn't be like, Titan Class sized (even though they deliberately labeled CW Devastator as Titan Class Combiner)
Megatronus will definitely be used for 86 Megatron also considering the 13th Prime. I think it's the Matrix. The 13th Prime sacrificed himself and his spark got stored into the Matrix chassis, hence why when someone becomes a Prime they change.

FULL HYPE for The Fallen. Damn. I think there's a high chance 86 Megatron is a retool of that mold. And possibly larger depending on how he scales with 86 Prime. Also, I'm still very surprised we got a Naruto crossover before a Mad Max Interceptor figure lol.
The Constructicons are going to be a must-buy for me, because I've always enjoyed their personalities and appearances. I previously wanted to purchase the Unite Warriors version of Devastator, but this newer version looks far superior to the last one.
I already collected the Stunticons, and now I guess I'm going out of my way to get Devastator. To be honest, it would be cool to see Bruticus, but I feel like they should definitely remake Gamer Edition Bruticus.
I hope that Nexus Prime will be able to separate into five other bots,and they are able to transform as well, since he's looking to be a leader class figure
If not Reactive Optimus the HasTak designers made the new Megatronus figure really beefy and swole (cuz in that panel in War Within he had similar bodily stature akin to Optimus and Megatron's). I am a bit dissapointed that they didn't do full on repairs at the CW Constructicons i do find them more awesome and imposing, but i am nervious if other combiners would be the same height scaling as Legacy Menasor.

I wish they would redo air razor for the film as they just lazily reused the same mold again that somehow looked worse, especially after seeing the film that she was a lot bigger so they could have given us a new mold and used concept art to create her bot mode.
The Fallen looks sick, not to mention the new packaging for SS86 and AOTP (with returning plastic windows), but the Constructicons so far look pretty good (lot better than Combiner Wars). There is one new concerning thing though that Hasbro revealed, they’re no longer doing wave 4 which could unfortunately mean no rerelease of hard to find figures so…unfortunately it seems Hasbro wants the scalpers to win.
I hope the prima figure will c9me with the star saber, and I hope it will look like it did in TFP because I grew up with that version of the blade, and I loved it!
The thing about the Fallen is that every version is technically the same guy. And I agree, making Optimus one of the 13 kinda ruins the zero to hero thing he's got going for him. Hopefully they do what they did with ROTF Devastator and release the 86 version as a gift set, maybe in cartoon accurate colors, ie Bonecrusher with purple legs/treds. That's how I ended up getting him. Speaking of, I'm still waiting for them to release movie Demolisher. I want that giant white excavator who just wanted to get away. They have the mold just paint it white. I wonder what Amalgamous with turn into? Hopefully he's at least a multi changer but he should be a ten changer being based on a shifter, and of course fanmodes are a thing. The One design seems like it could translate well into a toy? And I'm guessing his T-cog 'll be removable to go with the gimmick of including their relics. I would honestly make Star Saber the 13th member, give him the sword relic, and have it named after him. I just think Prima doesn't need two relics.

I have all the Stunticons but Breakdown (i also still have on pre-order) but i also have the Stunticon 5 pack case.
Both look awesome. Im super excited. But now devy wont scale with omega supreme. Not sure how i feel about that. Cw devy was perfect for omega. Unless they plan on redoing the entire line.

You might be right on the money when it comes to speculation, whether that's going to be a retool of Studio series Megatron or vice versa , if you think about it as far as scale, not to mention accessories, and the suppressor definitely looks like the nozzle of the g1 megatron gun mode.. I think you're right! It is going to look awesome, and we're finally going to have a respectable. Where are the G1 style Studio series Megatron in tank other than gun mode
I feel like the whole arisen idea would work better if instead of Optimus it was Rodimus.
FINALLY! THE TRUE FALLEN GETS A PROPER FIGURE IN THE MAINLINE! He was taller than Grimlock, there for I would've made him a commander class. Still this is the definitive Fallen! He in the original Dreamwave one, with weapons of the other fallens. Requiem Blaster for the Mega man Fallen, spear- scepter for the Movie Fallen, and the Staff from the RID one (The worst fallen).

Devastator! AWESOME DEVASTATOR!
Still I will keep my Takara Unite Warriors Devastator to fight against Titan Omega Supreme. The Takara one came with the guns for constructions, and all of them have elbows, the colors are the correct ones and he has the option of having eyes uncovered or the visor. I can't get rid of him.
But this new Devastator is AMAZING!!! I'll get it too!

Also, I believe it was Evan that confirmed Megatronus Prime here is not intended to have any retool. So SS86 Megatron will be its own new mold.
This makes more sense in terms of scaling. Combiners shouldn't be like, Titan Class sized (even though they deliberately labeled CW Devastator as Titan Class Combiner)
Megatronus will definitely be used for 86 Megatron also considering the 13th Prime. I think it's the Matrix. The 13th Prime sacrificed himself and his spark got stored into the Matrix chassis, hence why when someone becomes a Prime they change.
For a voyager Scrapper is both hollow and short the Fallen looks cool though
Ya know what man? I can totally see that fallen mold reworked into 86 megs. Good eye. I first thought "omg, did they reuse that damn siege mold AGAIN!"IFo i guess it's not too dar a stretch for me to see megs in there lol
FULL HYPE for The Fallen. Damn. I think there's a high chance 86 Megatron is a retool of that mold. And possibly larger depending on how he scales with 86 Prime.
Also, I'm still very surprised we got a Naruto crossover before a Mad Max Interceptor figure lol.
The Constructicons are going to be a must-buy for me, because I've always enjoyed their personalities and appearances. I previously wanted to purchase the Unite Warriors version of Devastator, but this newer version looks far superior to the last one.
I already collected the Stunticons, and now I guess I'm going out of my way to get Devastator.
To be honest, it would be cool to see Bruticus, but I feel like they should definitely remake Gamer Edition Bruticus.
I hope that Nexus Prime will be able to separate into five other bots,and they are able to transform as well, since he's looking to be a leader class figure
If not Reactive Optimus the HasTak designers made the new Megatronus figure really beefy and swole (cuz in that panel in War Within he had similar bodily stature akin to Optimus and Megatron's). I am a bit dissapointed that they didn't do full on repairs at the CW Constructicons i do find them more awesome and imposing, but i am nervious if other combiners would be the same height scaling as Legacy Menasor.
Really glad dev is in a better scale with other combiners now. The massive size difference for CW version is why I didn't get it

I wish they would redo air razor for the film as they just lazily reused the same mold again that somehow looked worse, especially after seeing the film that she was a lot bigger so they could have given us a new mold and used concept art to create her bot mode.
It only looks like opening hands for devastator im hoping we get more articulation theres especially for the price we will be paying
AOE Prime and the Fallen are getting my money asap, Devastator is skeptical for me, and the rest are okay I guess.

The Fallen looks sick, not to mention the new packaging for SS86 and AOTP (with returning plastic windows), but the Constructicons so far look pretty good (lot better than Combiner Wars).
There is one new concerning thing though that Hasbro revealed, they’re no longer doing wave 4 which could unfortunately mean no rerelease of hard to find figures so…unfortunately it seems Hasbro wants the scalpers to win.
I hope the prima figure will c9me with the star saber, and I hope it will look like it did in TFP because I grew up with that version of the blade, and I loved it!

The thing about the Fallen is that every version is technically the same guy. And I agree, making Optimus one of the 13 kinda ruins the zero to hero thing he's got going for him.
Hopefully they do what they did with ROTF Devastator and release the 86 version as a gift set, maybe in cartoon accurate colors, ie Bonecrusher with purple legs/treds. That's how I ended up getting him. Speaking of, I'm still waiting for them to release movie Demolisher. I want that giant white excavator who just wanted to get away. They have the mold just paint it white.
I wonder what Amalgamous with turn into? Hopefully he's at least a multi changer but he should be a ten changer being based on a shifter, and of course fanmodes are a thing. The One design seems like it could translate well into a toy? And I'm guessing his T-cog 'll be removable to go with the gimmick of including their relics.
I would honestly make Star Saber the 13th member, give him the sword relic, and have it named after him. I just think Prima doesn't need two relics.
