This is the real reason they are called long rifles.
Perfectly on display for Squigs, looks very juicy
The Third Leg gets in the way of melee so they went with rifles.
And as ussual looking like a bunch of homeless guys. Empire dress code like always looks terrible, that enginer hero... my gosh, afford some better clothes man. This is why i rather play Kislev than Empire. At least even cossars looks good in their clothes.

Whoever designed and animated the Nurgle units should get some praise, since the unit are absolutely disgusting, just like Papa Nurgle intended.
The toad dragon digging for nose gold was pretty unsettling. XD

That volly gun steam tank model is NICE. Hope they give the Og a face lift as well
Something I'd love to see is a better death animation. Panels falling off, the turret getting blasted into the air, jets of steam and engine shrapnel flying out.
At the moment is just sort of... folds.

@SerryJeinfeld32 i always prefered gunpowder units, so more units that can do "BOOM" is good
The Dawi get a functioning Air Force built on Science and Technology whilst the Empire snorts gunpowder due to their gunlines getting even more stronger due to the new additions and also unleashes its own advanced if not its more esoteric technology even if its just a ship given wheels and acts as a gun platform and mechanical horses(God I can't wait for mods that will add Knights on mechanical horses even better if armed with guns).
I'm a huge dwarf fan, but honestly the new Empire units have me the most excited. The long rifles, heavy cav, steam tank lord mount, a LL with a dragon! What nice additions.

Ngl i was pretty dissappointed by the Nurgle Chaos lord when i saw a picture of him, but he looks much better in action. Hopefully he is going to have some new attack animations as well. Overall, this DLC seems fantastic so far
steam tank with volley gun is really giving „get me closer i wanna hit them with my sword“ . its nice to see some crossovers from 40k

The new dwarf units look amazing. I can't wait to try them.
I feel like the models for the new rakers weren't very good in comparison to the rest. Their movements felt horribly mismatched. Maybe they were the last models done and time got away.
To be honest it still irks me that we now have Slayer lords. I get that it is cool and it certainly is but it massively contradicts the lore.
@@Mortarion-xt9wpit's good to get slayer lords because all slayer armies are now decently possible
Although I have my doubts on the usefullness of some of these units.
This is not just the best DLC for Warhammer 3, it's probably one of the best in the trilogy. Amazing units all round. The update itself is also one of the best for Warhammer 3 so far.
I am very happy with what CA is giving us this time around.

Excited that I'll be able to play the first army I took to Warhammer World for a GW store tournament.
Was 2v2 so I went with a Nuln themed gun line using Nuln ironsides. Shame Jubal Falk is missing as a legendary lord option which would truly make it.
The Chaos Lord of Nurgle looks way cooler than the screenshot seemed!

Guns for my Empire and actual temptation to make slayer only armies. I like it. I'll admit I'm looking at Nurgle mostly to see what new units my Archeon and Beastmen runs will get.

I wonder if the Rot Knights will be the top of the Nurgle warband tree for cavalry as a warrior of chaos, similar to how Khorne has bloodcrushers and Tzeench has the doom knights.

The changes to the steam tanks with rotating towers and officers seems like a preparation for a total war Warhammer 40k.

Hope that the arrival of the land ship will also allow you to use Marienburg colours in skirmishes or multiplayer battles.
I am SURE there will be multiple upgrades either in tech tree or through some design to give Goblin Hewer's more ammunition, probably not more than 6-8 but 2 without a guarantee hit will be underpowered late game.
Could you please include recruitment tier when showcasing units? It helps players know how much they can expect to use a unit during their campaigns.
As someone who always plays Empire whenever I reinstall the game, I am so happy for all the new units and characters. Balthazar Gelt campaign incoming.

Probably my favourite DLC/Patch ever. I can't think of any other that comes even close, not just because of great new units, but for all the reworks we are getting as well.

I cannot describe how happy I am that we finally have a chaos sorcerer of Nurgle. Do you realize how long I've been wanting to take Lords like Kholek, Archaon or Valkia in the chaos roster and give them access to healing?
Valkia still won't be able to get them since she's limited to Undivided and Khorne, no Nurgle Sorcerers for her
but Kholek, Archaon, Be'lakor, and Sigvald will benefit from this (and Festus too but that was already obvious)

You missed some RoR Nurgle Units, but I guess you were focusing on the new units and their RoR?. In addition to the Rotting Riders, there's also The Angels of Decay (Plague Drones-Death's Head) and Noxbringer (Soul Grinder of Nurgle) I don't know their unique mechanics, but I did read an article that named the RoR for Nurgle.

So this DLC drops April 30th just finished a choas play through but forgot to look at the achievements to see what I Missed after the win... might have to load it up just to upgrade a general up a path...
Pestigors look so much way better than the Tzaangors from SoC.
They really put more effort on ToD.

I think you missed one or two RoR for Nurgle? I seem to recall they showed some more Regiments of Renown in their closer look video.
Look at the legs on those long rifles! Absolutely caked up and their ROR looks like they dont even lift by comparison.

Looks great ! Interested to see the new campain mechanics. For the dwarfs I am a bit less enthusiastic because the new units are not really changing the way the race feels at least on paper. The additions on Nurgle and Empire rosters look fantastic though.
Overall very excited to start a new campaign (far more than the previous DLC to be honest)
This maybe just me, with how much the empire is getting, I think the empire can do a lot with a no armor flying cavalry.
However dwarves getting additional slayers is a tad dumb since dwarves in general are overall tanky despite how much anti-infantry you bring, though I am at least grateful slayers are relegated to being special regiments for problem solving though seeing the dwarven airship had me a tad worried that it will be busted on launch however seeing its a case of "great at range, but terrible upclose" which I wouldn't be surprised if the next DLC involves giving out additional flying units because well, everyone has flying units and some have potential for options of flying units.
They definitely stepped up their game for this one

A Malakai/Espeth Von Drakon coop campaign would be fun. Assuming Malakai can heal Empire Warmachines, having him as an allied army would be fun.

The empire stuff is a Total War Warhammer 40k beta. One thing I think Total War Warhammer 40k needs to have is varying maximum army sizes for different factions: 10 unit max for Space Marines lets each one be more OP, 25 or 30 for Imperial guard with heavy tanks or big artillery units costing 2 unit points each. Total War Warhammer 40k has so much potential as a game but I don't think CA will reach it.
I am not quite sure about the Goblin Hewers concept and its obviously a little sad that GW probably told CA that they couldn't do repeater rifles for the Ironsides, but overall its a tasty looking package.

Which would have allowed a legit Slayer only stack with artillery.
Now it seems that all we got is a regular slayer unit with a special single use short range attack.
Looking at its great animation that just seems like a huge waste. But hey, nothing mods can't fix.

I had to do a double take when you were talking about the bubolis toad dragon mount. When it started digging it's nose for a snack I wasn't paying attention the first time. 9:54 Nurgle units are gross.
Finally, a legendary lord for serious turtle dawi firepower tactics. And now with the changes and new units you also can lay firepower on enemies from air AND ground. So fuckin good.
I hope that in time we will see other rulers of provinces
I think the Steam Tanks got a major glow-up. May it is just the engineer mount version, but that model looks crisp!

I'm a little disappointed that the Ironsides don't have repeater rifles like in the trailer, but everything else makes up for it. The dlc looks absolutely beautiful!
For reals, I thought it was a missed opportunity not making a repeater rifle unit. But whatever, I’m still happy with what empire got
They talk about it in the blog post. In essence, they changed their mind about it because the Nuln Ironsides just use high quality handguns in the lore.

This is great! My only gripe is with the new the Knights of the Black Rose. They seem too... generic :(
Since they're associated with the god of death it'd be great if they had some sort of bonus vs. the undead or any ability which would make them stand out a bit more. Still, they're a great addition. Can't wait to get my hands on this DLC! :)
