    Just a heads up, Slaanesh actually did get new marauders, the old ones have been renamed Devoted Marauders. Other than that, would've also been nice to see the khorne and tzeentch lords. Still, thanks for showing the new units off!

      @@thedarkmaster4000 No idea, but it seems the new ones are axes and another hellscourge, the latter is odd one but the hellscourge we got now is slightly better marauder than the rest so the new hellscourge may just be more normal, or they made an error, dunno.
      They have the anti infantry and anti large devoted mutated ones, so the axe one may just be more damage dealing in general, more middle between the two. They also may just be a slightly cheaper version than the devoted, who knows.

      @Cameron P Sort of, the new lords can interact with a 'Path to Glory' tab next to the skills tree, where you can spend souls on ascending them with bonuses for following a monogod. Eventually, through enough ascension, they can be converted into an entire demon i.e. the flying demons that were shown at 18:19.
      As far as I know, if you own the Champions of Chaos DLC, you can ascend them to the monogod variants, if you do not, you can still ascend them to a demon, but it will only be a chaos undivided demon.

      @@thedarkmaster4000 devoted marauders are just better they have anti infantry anti large and hellscourge while the normal marauders are axe and shield with no bonuses and hellscourge

    Especially compared to how CA just re-colored the Chaos Spawn without changing the model initially, these re-skinned units look really nice, glad they put in the extra work to change up the models slightly

    I mean, I would have liked to see the model of the Tzeentch lord. I understand it’s the skimming part, but i’d like to see what the unit looks like, especially since we haven’t seen it yet

      He showed the Slaanesh and Nurgle lords. After that, the Daemon Princes, and after that he showed the Heroes of Khorne/Tzeentch.

    They might mostly be just reskins, but CA did really made them look nice and appropriate for each of the four Gods.
    Seriously, those Tzeentch RoR look absolutely dazzling with the many light effects, could almost trigger some epilepsy.

      @@alfredomartinez1082 Well, it is a LOT of work to make different animations/appearances for a unit that serves almost the exact same function across 4/5 factions. They already had a lot of work to do for the DLC and upcoming patches.

    Finally! These units should have been in the base roster. Playing Vanilla TW:WH3 Chaos factions always felt like there was a giant hole in their roster, and now it feels more fleshed out with many more options to flesh out your army. Looking forward to both this update and (a hopefully not buggy) Immortal Empires!

    Oh dear... plague bearers were alrady a pain in the side to remove, but supported by a chaos warshrine making sure they'll never take desintegrate damage AND gives them more healing the longer the fight lasts...
    That's going to be disgustingly hard to push through

    It's a shame that they haven't done the god specific beastmen feels like it would add a bit more variety in to the chaos rosters rather than just having more units that do pretty much the same thing

      Not a big fan tbh. The beastmen are "the children of chaos" and I think GW did it right when removing them from the Beastmen book and so on. I dont think they fit in a Beastmen army or WoC army any more. They would fit in those mono-god armies though.

      @@runeh3022 this is my theory the monogod factions will get marked beastmen In the future because there’s a lack of daemons to add and Khorne already has Minotaurs.
      Marked beastmen are just better suited to monogod and beastmen factions.

      It's just a new helmet and armor recolor of woc chosen or warrior, a lot of people wanted the Khorne Chaos warrior model treatment for the other marked gods we got at launch

    CA: "Valkia has the combat stats to RIVAL Skarbrand."
    By "Rival" I guess they meant the newer generation of "Rival" where they pick the starter that's weaker to the starting pokemon you pick.

It sort of started in X/Y since you didn't really have a direct rival but rather a bunch of peers, some of which would have an advantage and some a disadvantage starter, but in both Sun/Moon and Sword/Shield they've decided for some reason that the main rival should just be a somewhat pathetic ally who will continuously get krumped on by virtue of having the disadvantaged starter.
      Not gonna lie, both Hops and Hau are a bit difficult to take seriously because of it.

      Even in campaign, she can get a +12 from the red line, but that's it

    They probably didn't give the new human khorne units AP so they could stay distinct from the bloodletters. I would've liked to see some fire damage and fire effects on the khorne chosen, though.

      i think bloodletters would be still distinct and in game, they have something that makes them better in my opinion better than khorne chaoswarriors and probably these chosen units. bloodletters are fast while their human counterparts with speeds around 28 are outrun by nearly every unit and will take several volleys to the chest until they reach the frontlines.

      @@oscarstaszky1960 They have armour piercing just not a majority of it. But then again neither do depth guard and they still kill chosen with their new buffs. But we'll have to see how it goes, I wouldn't worry about it just yet.

      The Chosen of Khorne already have great stats, I don't think they need extra armour piercing. Their only weakness is speed.
      For a 80 entities unit, their weapon strength is insanely high and probably have a good amount of AP damage already. Add to that the bonus vs infantry + frenzy which increase the damage even more. Also, don't forget their charge bonus is one of the highest for an infantry unit.

      That's dumb. Khorne is a homogenous faction anyway, and the Demons have the advantage of special traits and the DISadvantage of crap armor.

      Well...most of them. Less so the Forsaken which are literal recolours unlike even the Marauders who get some knick knacks there and there.

      @@G1ingy Not every model has to be unique tho, it has to be recogniseable as to what it really is yet still look like the God it fights for, imo it's an amazing integration of the units

      @@CoachAibax Its not implicitly bad but they do it with the CW and Chosen units, I think I would use forsaken units more if they actually looked different, then again i never push for speed.

    I feel they should either give "Cause Fear" or "Cloud of Flies" to Nurgle units, compared to the others their extra 8 hp per model and poison and +5 defence, seems lack lustrer, especially taking into acount that they also get -5 melee attack and -5 speed.
    And for Tzeentch marked troops, maybe some Spell or Missile Resistance, would certainly help with, and open up more scenarios involving some more forgiving friendly fire.

      To be fair the onlything tzeentch really needed help with was anti large and they've got that now. if you're struggling with missile units im not sure how you're using your barrier and spells

      @@TheCeasar8 Dont think Tzeentch struggled particularly with anti large. Nurgle does, tho. 0 anti large, while Tzeentch has access to powerful missiles units like Soul grinder and I guess you could also count in screamers as well as Blue Fire of Tzeentch

    Most units (and their abilities) look great! I'm only kinda disappointed by the undivided warshrine, 10% physical resistance (that you have to build up to) seems pretty underwhelming compared to the monogod warshrines.

      Then you remember that it means you can give physical resist to all your non-daemon units AND up the one your daemonic units already have (from 20% up to 30%).
      Yes it's less impressive than the monogod shrines, yet still very useful to have.

      @@RoulicisThe 10% phys resist is really not a good value, especially with the abundance of magical attacks available to many factions. It would be better if it gave 10% flat with the possibility to build up to 20%

    You didn't talked about the downsides of marks ! Nurgle loose MA and speed. While Khorne loose MD.
    Slaanesh and Tzeentch have no downsides.
    PS : I think even if it lasted for 1 hour a lot of people would have watched it to the end. Maybe in several times but it would have been nice to see the skills of the lords etc...

      @@ash074 It kinda did, at least in multiplayer : if Slaanesh players can crush the opponent early they do fine, but if they fail to do so they had 0 option to make a comeback.
      Now they do have an option to try and turn the table if the early stage of the battle doesn't go their way thanks to this tanky Mortis engine providing them with attrition damage.
      Nurgle's warshrine looks a lot more scary to me in comparison

      Did vanilla khorne units get any kind of buff??
      Vanilla khorne PVP is just dog and fury micro for the most part on higher ranking PVP

      Kind of weird that there are no downsides for Slaanesh and Tzeentch. Feel like that should be changed as it would make sense that you'd give up something to the Chaos Powers to improve something else. Maybe less HP for Slaanesh though I'm not sure what you'd lower for Tzeentch, maybe weapon damage?

    considering that these are variants and not new units they still did a good job making them fairly unique especially since no other race has variants like this. the color changes and armor differences work out pretty well overall some day maybe we can get more variants of units which i think would help fix the issue of certain units being wanted but being too similar to units in the game like all the different types of Knightly Orders who couldn't really use entirely new units but would only need a few armor changes and recolor to turn them into something else fairly inexpensively

    Nurgle chosen with that insane hp pool, armor, melee defense, poison, silver shields and all faction healing will be insanely tanky, too bad they don't get a spear + shield chosen version tho.

    Would love to see a straight melee grind test of nurgle GW chosen vs khorne DW chosen. See if the super juiced up MA and WS on the khorne ones is enough to overcome their lack of AP.

    Mirror Guard also comes with the added benefit of blinding your opponent everytime they zoom in.

    The Nurgle units look fantastic, all of them really but Nurgle is my favorite :)
    22:30 you state that the Nurgle horsemen have throwing axes but that sure looks like javelins to me

      Just curious what do you do for anti large when playing as nurgle. I main for grandfather as well but I struggle with the lack of anti large. I didn't see any new halberds incoming for nurgle either.

      @@sushibarker2775 i was praying for halberds too! i remember fighting a stack of dino's in the chaos realm though and being pretty surprised how well nurgle cope with large, blob up as per usual and sustain your way through, use magic etc for single entity damage and heal your way to victory

      Marauder horsemen with throwing axes always used spears and shields in melee in the previous games. The ones with javelins lacked the shields, thats how you tell them apart

    Amazing to see everything coming for those armies that are becoming really competitive online. Though I'm a bit frustrated that they gave anti-large to Tzeench and Nurgle still has no correct option in that department.
    The new designs for marauders and chaos knights is amazing btw

    Just an idea but it would be great to see a rundown of which units exactly are passed on to the old factions and how - for example what buildings does Skarbrand and co now have, what tiers these units recruit at and does Daniel get access to much of this.

    I think a couple times you said the warshrines increase effect with death of nearby "enemies," but the text says "entities" so friendly deaths count too, right?

    Surprised that none of the Khorne warriors or chosen have any armor piercing, suppose that will be the job of the marauder horsemen, chaos knights, and skullcrushers.

    Another use for the Valkia - you have 13 seconds to soak up missile and artillery fire as you fly past the front lines to get to the yummy artillery and missile troops that are about to feed your buffs, allowing you to be fully powered by the time you hit their main infantry - from behind (Careful, the Slaaneshi troops might like it).
    Azazel seems like he'd be good for a monsterous route stack, dropping in and hitting the enemy front line units from behind to apply hammer & anvil, terror, and his sword's morale penalty then flying off to behind the next unit - routing his way up the line.

    Seems like with Undivided at least, mobbing up around archaon and a warshrine seems pretty viable. Stack of chosen, couple calvary to hammer n anvil, some artillery and you can really hold a square pretty solid

    I love the visual difference of the Chaos Warriors. Really thought the Chaos Warriors and Chosen of Nurgle would be more green rather than black though.

      I like the contrast compared to the more vibrant greens of the Nurglish roster. The sickly black gives off necrosis vibes

      They defiantly look better then they do in the promotional stuff. But I concur, There really isn't a big emphasis on disease like the chaos warriors from vermintide had. Also the weaponry and armor look too "clean" there is some patches but was expecting more of a rusted look. However the worst offenders are still the Forsaken and chaos spawn. They literally did nothing to make them unique besides a color swap.

    did anyone not notice that Valkia has lower stats then Azael and hes a caster he has like 100 more weapon ST and 16 more Melee attack he pretty much matches her in every other stats other thrn armour and has 1000 more hp..... like i said before hes a caster and has good side effects pretty OP if you ask me.

    Would have loved some Mortal units with armor pen for khorne, for being the one mostly focused around melee prowess they lack armor pen so they might get left behind a little now the other chaos gods have had their weaknesses pacthed up. Super hyped for this dlc/rework Already preordered it.

    Calling some of these reskins does a massive disservice to the actual work that has been done to these models.
    Aside from the marauders of tzeentch, those are just blue borscan marauders...

      Overall the models still look cool, but they were quite minimalist when it came to actually adding new assets to the mix. All of the Warriors are really just new heads, shields and Weapons with the rest of the parts all being the same as the original WoC parts. And the marauders are all made from reusing a mixture of other assets if not just recolours.

      Every warrior and chosen and horse just has new shields, helms, and weapons. The entire armor suit is copy-paste with a recolor. Still looks good though

    While I generally loved those reskins im a bit suprized maruders of nurgle got Shrek skin. I mean I've been expecting them to look more like cultist. Plus shame marauder's horses aren't disased like ones of knights. Other than that (Had to vent a bit as a nurgle fan) absolutely stellar work.

    I can only imagine how relieved Slanesh players must feel having those marauder horse-men filling that big hole there for em. Nothing new having units that can come quickly but to also be able to hit from a distance... again just must be so relieving.

    Why wasn't the slaanesh regiment of renown chosen on hellstriders? Spears or swords or hellscourges. Just a heavily armoured and shielded hellstrider unit.

    Chosen of Khorne with dual weapons do have AP attacks, it's just that it doesn't show it if it is less than 50% of the total weapon strength; also not to mention, units with the AP symbol generally have a slower attack speed compared to units with normal attacks and these Chosen attack like a blender.

    18 leadership to demons would make then vary nasty to deal with in a slog. Seeing how when they are under half hp they can end up near instantly dying with out leadership buffs.

    Kinda disappointed we didn't get to see the models for Chaos Lord of Khorne and Chaos Sorcerer Lord of Tzeentch for some reason, was it necessary to cut a few extra seconds for those two? Also Slaanesh have new Marauders too which are different from the devoted ones.

    In archeons campaign the severed claw is the most overpowered unit you can get access to. Archaeon has buffs to aspiring champions including frenzy, regeneration, damage, perfect vigor, everything you need to make an entire aspiring champions army crush everything

    The guy in the trailer was the khorne lord not hero. You can tell because the lord has a black helmet and this is consistent in game. Hero has all red helmet and also has different looking armor

      Remember that this is a Warriors of Chaos DLC. Mutalith and Slaughterbrute fit the monogod rosters better and will likely come with monogod lord packs, most likely with Maggoth and Serpents of Slaanesh as their Nurgle/Slaanesh counterparts.

    Daemonettes are a bit too fast, but that slaaneshi warshrine could pair really well with the new warriors of slaanesh. Saturate some exalted daemonettes on them to apply charmed and add a little AP damage and you will have a pretty devastating front line.

    Valkia needs a blast back attack to get her out of surrounds. EVERY single dedicated nurgle unit needs regeneration. Slaanesh's stack seems much improved from before, though having a dash move or something for Azazel to hype his speed would be fitting. Tzeenzch is already pretty ridiculously strong if you micro magic

      nah I think being fully invulnerable is a fine trade to a blast effect. if you get her stuck in an infantry blob and she's somehow not able to hack her way out then thats a skill issue

Nothing unique about him. Same ability. No sense. Why is the immortal ancient demon Valkyrie unable to have the same? ... Makes no sense. She needs the invulnerability for dueling bigger lords (mounted, monstrous, etc) but the invulnerability does nothing for a full surround of heavy infantry/ calvary

Why would she want to push away all the enemies to retreat when you can be invulnerable and harvest more skulls. also your example is a little silly since being surrounded by heavy cav would be a favorable match up given what she's powerful against. Again she's a extremely mobile human sized lord which means she gets to pick and choose all her battles so she should never need that ability

Mods fix that obviously, and allow people to customize their gameplay to be the best experience for the person playing it. I'll just change it to what I want and enjoy the experience

    Slaanesh seems to have the best altar. It also fills so many holes as something tanky and large aoe dmg. Also, a good anti-large and tanky frontline is something Tzeentch really needed. But believe slaanesh is the big winner here. His lord is so strong and with the aditianly buffs from its alter they are going to melt low hp units with the champion almost always doing a special attack with his high mellee attack mellee attack buff charge and altar

    Still feeling Nurgle has a lack of Anti-Large infantry, lots of amour piecing now... I do wonder how well Nurgle's Chosen great weapons will do against those large single entities, sure would be decent against most heavy cav at least.
