I put 1500 miles on my scat pack in the last 2 days through ice, snow, slush, salt, and dirt roads (Missouri and Kansas, rural areas). All the nasty stuff that would make most scat pack owners cringe. The car did great. I'm running 255/55R18 Pirelli Scorpion Winter tires. 500 hp is indeed a lot, but the traction control system really does a great job of keeping it in check. The first time the rear end stepped out I wasn't sure how far the TC would let it go, but there's nothing to worry about. Even if provoked, it won't spin around a corner as long as the TC is on...even in sport mode. obviously good winter tires help as well. Especially on the hard pack and shear ice, it would have been a miserable experience on all seasons. As for beating on a scat pack....mine is a work vehicle. The baddest work vehicle ever. At first I felt bad, but considering it's a bare base model and I caught the end-of-the-year 20% off deal, I don't feel quite as bad after getting such a bargain. I'll likely put 200k miles on it over the next 4 years, and hopefully just buy another one if dodge keeps making them.
Had a RWD Charger in Detroit for years.. never had a problem with the snow; I put on some cheap winter tires and it did fine. As for salt, I just used the car wash more frequently - particularly one that sprayed the undercarriage as you drove through.

Another nice vid. I'm hoping to get a Scat Pack late this summer so your videos have been greatly appreciated. I live in NYC and I have a 4Motion VW Passat Wagon that will be my daily driver, but I'm sure a day will come when the ScatPack will have to touch snow. So I will likely have to get an extra set of Winter tires or all-season tires at least for the rear, just for those rare instances. Thanks. Side note: I always appreciate when people are polite to others. I like how polite you were to the Taco Bell employees. I know it might seem like a small thing but if more people were that way, the world would be a very different place.
Question..?? How did you like these tires? I have the same Atturo AZ850. Personally, the tires look great but the only thing I am not to happy about is how "STICKY" these tires are. Not too much of a fan of that feel. At times while driving, I feel that I am on a grooved road and it's a little tough when steering. Let me know your thoughtgs. Many thanks and Safe Travels.
Live in new hampshire have owned 2 chargers. One 3.5 liter and one 5.7. Nothing special but in the snow theyre great. They plow through everything. I always wash car cause of salt and i hate filthy black cars. The traction control is awesome. So fun driving it with it off.

I'm lame and have the V6 SXT, but it has AWD and drives phenomenally in the snow w/ stock tires.
The v6s are still surprisingly quick man! Im not disappointed with mine at all!
