Nice comparison between two cars with the same engine and same transmission. The last pass with the Challenger almost sounded like the transmission downshifted to give it a little better "launch" on its 60-130 run. Very convenient that you live this close to "Mexico."
Great video with 2 awesome cars. There is just something about the challengers. They just look fast. I have always wondered if there was really much of a performance difference between the charger and challenger scats. I have also wondered if there was any difference in performance between scat packs built since 2015 to current.
@@Kw-oh9jk not performance, but reliability. They started using the truck 6.4 block in 2017 which was more durable and led to increased reliability. Otherwise it’s simply cosmetics and a few interior upgrades
I've always wanted to see these types of runs like 60-130 vs everyone's typical 0-60..... Thanks for making them. I watch them all. The only thing I can think of on the second challenger run is that perhaps you hit the gas a little earlier on the second run allowing the car to have a little more momentum sweeping past 60mph? Maybe you found a sweet spot? Either way, the cars are close enough performance wise that it doesn't make a he'll of a difference. Even if the Challenger lost, it'd be my pick over the Charger. Thanks again for your time and effort giving me something fun to watch.

I saw your 60 to 130 with your new mustang and in drag mode that thing shifts like a beast. My 2020 LT1 was a beast from 60 to 130 but didn't shit like the Mustang. I don't care about having the fastest car. It's a weekend play car. I care about overall looks, comfort, power etc. Keep up the awesome vids.
I know weather and temperature play a big role in performance "not talking crap" but why are the 392s so inconsistent. Would love your feedback? You see some stock running low 13s 60-130. Some are running low 12s and others are dipping into the mid to low 11s?
Yeah more air flow less weight and still looks like the old challenger. I’ve always said there was a reason they used the challenger platform for the demon and the trakpaks. I do like the charger though but for those reasons I got the challenger. Good video man.

Hmmm....were you making sure you were in the same gear at 60mph when you ran each test? Sounded like a different kick down and lead up for each test? Really needed to pick a gear for the test and run it... I think it would show very different results.
if you compare the height plots on the graphs, it looks like it had huge effects on the time. the road was not even in height, and every time there was a downward slope it resulted in faster times and every time there was an upward slope it had slower times
They both good cars I take the challenger over the charger the challenger is more sporty the charger is for like driving friends and family in it the charger seems a little bit louder than the challenger to
It’d be interesting to see a test between the Shaker and the current Challenger Scat Pack with the heat extractors on the hood. I’ve seen folks say the heat extractors help with aero by allowing air in the grille to move right on through.
Hi RacerX, I was deciding to either get a full cat-back exhaust system or just a muffler delete and resonator delete with either a flowmaster or Magnaflow. Just wanted to know what would be the best investment and efficiently add hp and torq. As well as with goo toned sound and growl.
Just went to test drive a SRT durango, lots of power, but i had to get the R/T durango because it has the bench seat and when folded down is great for boxes

@@RacerX9 I think with a good driver the manual will slightly pull on the auto. Stock A8 vs stock manual on the camaro. I always slightly pulled on my friends A8 camaro
I think you should do one with a Standard Body Charger vs Standard Challenger that way they face more similar aero/Drag issues & Weight gains.Widebodys are a bit slower. But when it’s this close every tenths counts

How do you feel about I purchased a 2021 challenger scat pack shaker edition and it blew up just imploded the motor at 932 miles and now they don’t want to give me a new car they want to just put a motor in it so I’ll have a non-matching numbers car not the way I wanted to spend $50,000
I believe dragy 0-60 is off a few tenths the car 0-60 goes off of wheel speed vs dragy going off satelite… just saying this for people asking 0-60 times

Man , the Dodge charger 392 scat pack really get's down. The 12.40 second run was really good. i also liked how fast it switched gear's also.

For instance with the 10r80 coyotes low 11s are in terrible hot conditions and in cool weather I have seen 10.6s-10.9s.
Also 1/4 mile trap speed too! You see some trapping 112 and others trapping 113-117! Very inconsistent with power output!

For 0.3 seconds, I would take the widebody any day -- handling would be far better IMHO.
