Mac, I’ve been following your journey and wait in the ledge for every video to be released. I was an L&D nurse for 18 years. I worked in a level 1 trauma center in a high risk OB unit. We had an infertility program and my experience has been that subchorionic hemorrhage is more common in IVF pregnancies than naturally occurring ones. The majority of the time, everything is fine. My DIL is 24 weeks pregnant with grandbaby #3 and she had one with this pregnancy. Everything is fine and he is growing to be bigger than his sisters so far. I myself experienced an infertility journey. Work hard to not let your fear steal these beautiful weeks from you. Much love to you and Jack❤. You’re gonna rock parenting❤️❤️❤️

I’m so sorry you had to go through that but so glad you’re doing okay!! I had an SCH with my pregnancy around 18 weeks. I had a period-like cramp and a huge gush and I was beside myself in tears in the ER waiting room. But all was fine!! My baby girl just turned 4 months old. 🥰

This seems to be fairly common for IVF pregnancies! I had mine at weeks 7, 8, and 9. Each one on a Friday night. Because it was just one gush and not multiple pads, I ended up waiting until Monday morning to visit my clinic. Worst weekends ever! Ugh. My baby girl recently turned 1. It all ended up being OK. Whenever I follow along with other IVF stories I hold my breath for these updates. They always seem to happen. If anyone is currently experiencing a SCH, you are not alone. It is terrible, but odds are, everything is perfectly OK. I send my love to all you IVF mamas!

I experienced the same exact thing you as you! At 9 1/2 weeks I woke up to an insane amount of blood in my underwear and pants. Got in to my OB that morning and found out baby was completely fine! I also spotted dark red/ brown for about two weeks. It was one of the scariest times in my life but that 9 1/2 week baby boy is now a healthy, rambunctious 2 year old! You are totally right that the walk to the ultrasound room is the longest, most horrible walk. The moment they put the ultrasound on him and I saw him moving I said “he’s alive” and burst into a sobbing mess because I was so relieved my baby was still there 🩵 Wishing you all the best!

I’ve had gushing blood a few weeks ago and huge clots came out, went to ER, did ultrasound and they said baby was fine! I was like are you sure you are looking at the right ultrasound? I was really expecting the worse news. So shocked baby was okay and so relieved. I just couldn’t believe that much blood could come out and be okay. They still don’t know what it was. Then the other day I wiped and had blood again (I am 15 weeks, 16 tomorrow) and sent message to my OBGYN as the bleeding stopped within an hour and not much and the next day had an ultrasound and baby is great and cervix closed. They don’t know what caused the bleeding but it’s always scary but blood doesn’t always mean the worse! Also both times I didn’t have much cramping either.

This exact same thing happened to me at 11 weeks (pregnant with IVF baby). I walked downstairs and started gushing blood. It was horrifying. The bleeding lasted all the way until 18-19 weeks. But now I’m sitting here with my happy, healthy baby who was born in April!

I am so sorry you had to go through this! This happened to me in 2 out of 3 of my successful IVF pregnancies. It is so scary. With the baby I’m pregnant with now (31 weeks today) I had 5 episodes of bright red bleeding with clots. Two of those clots were the size of golf balls. It was terrifying but every time the baby was okay and now I am 31 weeks. I wish that it would become a regular practice to warn IVF patients how common these SCHs are in IVF pregnancies! It seems like some sort of bleeding with IVF happens more often than not and yet we are not prepared for it!

Mac, I had the same happen to me during my pregnancy with my son. Around 19 weeks I woke up and saw it went in scared beyond belief and listening to his heart beat was the best thing I've ever heard. I was hospitalized for 2 weeks but come to find out I had placenta previa also. He was born at 36 weeks on the dot via c-section and he's now 7 and 4'6" tall and 70lbs. Prayers for your pregnancy

I'm a surrogate and I had a SCH starting at 11 weeks that measured 6cm...which is huge! I had bleeding for 8 weeks straight before it completely resolved. It was terrifying and I felt so bad for my intended parents who have been trying to have a baby for 9 years! THANKFULLY it resolved on its own and everything is totally fine! This is the most active baby I've ever carried; she's FIESTY!!! I'm currently 7 months pregnant now.

When I was pregnant with my twins I used to bleed too and my girls were born very healthy. I can’t wait to meet your baby 🥰

I went through the same situation last year. It was very scary. I had big hematoma and I experienced 4 episodes of big bleed(big clots). It was scariest time of my life but thankfully it resulted into successful pregnancy. Now he is 10 month old.

Had a SCH and was put on bed rest from 12 weeks on for the rest of my pregnancy. Passed clots and everything. Went through 3 years of Infertility and have pcos. Things like these can be traumatizing. Prayers to you for the remainder of your pregnancy 🙏 ❤️

All the way from SA. Firstly CONGRATULATIONS on your baby news. So thrilled for you both. I had the exact same thing happen to me around 12 weeks. I went to the ER as well and everything was perfect with my son. He is 22 years old now and and strong as ever. Your babba is PERFECTLY fine ❤❤❤

What a scary moment when you don't know what's going on, especially with pregnancy after infertility. I am so sorry you went through that! So glad that baby is okay, and I so appreciate you sharing because I literally would have never learned about this even being a possibility so thank you in advance for any relief this may provide in future pregnancy.

I do believe Baby Dingle is settled in, practicing acrobatics and waiting to see what mom and dad have been doing. Breathe and Believe! Proud of you tackling this scare with good common sense. Almost half way there! ❤
