Put it against a new sky zone cobra with a T-Rex and use a decent full size analog setup not a nano (analog would still be cheaper counting camera, vtx, and googles). This isn't a fair comparison.
My point is that they took the worst analog setup out there meant for indoor flying and it is not a good representation of analog vs digital. It would be much much closer than in this video. I regularly fly through tree branches with out leaves, over water, and have flown almost 2 miles along a waterfall/river on my analog. Surprisingly clear these days. They took this thing a few hundred yards away and his screen went completely black. Shows how garbage their setup is.
I have a almost 10 year old complete analog setup with 4 antenna’s, digital switch and an older model Fatshark. Looking for a new camera but everything is now tiny and mini. Big quad, don’t need it. What’s the best camera in 2024?
@george8966 I understand ur point and I agree with you.but I still stand by you can never compare analog to digital.people were worried about the lag in digital transmission, but that's not almost an issue again. I have analog, hdzero, and digital(DJI fpv 03 and caddx polar vista ). The best analog cameras can not even compete with caddx vista talkless of dji 03 unit. Hd is the way to go!!
Hey, there's a person who believes in Analog in 2024. From my opinion you're completely right! If U would compare something similar the results would look pretty different. I have a Foxeer Reaper Extreme with 2.5W and I can easily fly 6km out (then I have to come back cause of the battery and NOT the video), meanwhile my friend with his Walksnail reaches 3-4km and have to come back cause of video!
It's a pretty unfair comparison, as the Bubito has a dipole antenna, which is blocked by the battery of the bigger drone, and receiving antennas on the EV800 are CP, so they have -3db receiving signal from the dipole antenna. Also Fatshark's have patch antennas, while EV800 only has omnidirectional antennas.
@aqua_sakura5021 my whoop doesn't get nearly as good of transmission than my 3 inch on the same power setting. Antennas have a big effect. Also, does the digital signal cause any interference with the analog signal when they are 2 inches apart from each other.
Defintley not equal. The little whoop has a much worse antenna and that crappy antenna has to transmit through the interference of the larger antenna that is directly behind it. 25mw on my whoop looks like crap compared to 25 on my 3-5 inch.
On your site, you have these goggles packaged with quads but you don't sell the goggles with a camera / TX? If someone is upgrading to digital, they need goggles and a camera / TX...
Could you please do a comparison video between the Recon HD and the new Avatar Goggles L ?! They seem to be very similar, as far as I know with basically these differences: - The Recon HD have an external video output, the Avatar don't. - The Recon HD can be used with optical correction glasses, the Avatar is too narrow for that. - The Recon HD have an FOV of 44°, the Avatar 75° - is this like comparison between a home tv screen and imax cinema? And what else differences are there? Is there a difference in visual impression, etc...?
What about focus adjustment? Do these goggles have that? I'm still on analog with an Attitude V6 goggle and i really like that i can adjust focus on each eye individually.
Liked the first video, too I guess u guys took the "wild" camera moves with cricket out 😅 I like this goggle better compared to the Walksnail L, because it has the video output and obviously the better price now (170 is better than 280, what it was before)
Pretty biased comparing a whoop's analog (with terrible antenna probably) to a 5" walksnail with proper antennas... I used to fly analog on both a 7" and a 65mm whoop. The whoop's video was much much worse than the 7"'s, even with both on 25 mW and with using the same goggles for both... Having both transmitters on the same quad transmitting at the same time is also a pretty bad idea. Even on different channels, there's still a high chance they'll interfere with each other, and analog tends to suffer the most from that since it can't just delay showing the image (read: increased latency) until it gets the last bits of the image.
It's not your IPD that's close together, it's the lens diameter on goggles. The Integras are the best if you use a super thin foam pad and adjust scaling down to 90%. If I could get a pair of goggles with 25mm diameter optical lenses I would lose my mind. I swear to God they would be worth $1,000 to me.
Ok, well, this proves it. I NEED hd. The analog cutting out even close by... its why i hardly fly my quads. None of em have a good image once transmitted. If i go upside down and my video cuts... im screwed, its going to the ground.
This is a whoop. They're *known* to have much worse video than proper 5"-sized transmitters and proper antennas instead of a dipole. Like, yes, digital does look much nicer, and if you can afford it (even one of the cheaper ones like this) it's a really good idea, but it's not quite as big a difference as this is. If you already have fairly good analog goggles (that have HDMI input) you do have the option to buy just a HDZero receiver for much cheaper than even these cheap goggles and just plug it into your analog goggles.

No matter what, HD beats analog interms for view no matter the goggle.

Oh boy, now that Caddx released the goggles L you go on a advertising campaign

Use something better than a little whoop transmitter. I think this is a unfair test.
They’re both at the same power setting so it’s equal. If you put a big vtx and set it to 25mw it’s gonna be basically the same

The HD looks like VTX DVR? vs. FatShark DVR?

Use the worst analog stuff to show how good their digital is well done .#RCAT
this is literally the cheapest HD setup you smoothbrain. lmao

Will they fit over eyeglasses?
theres no way people actually still think analog is better than HD. unless you're literally racing competitively or poor, HD is the answer.
Yes, however, the fatshark requires special vtx correct?
if by special you mean like a vtx compatible with the goggles, yes. lol. literally every single other hd system requires their own goggle/vtx setup
What about focus adjustment? Do these goggles have that? I'm still on analog with an Attitude V6 goggle and i really like that i can adjust focus on each eye individually.
Speaking of costs …when you going to hire Ciotti as drone pilot tester…you could get him for cheap
RedCat company
Dji v1 and v2 remind me of box goggles
Liked the first video, too

@@ChrisHarmon1 if you would pay 1k take your setup to a lens specialist and see if they can make you custom lenses or something
So you need a "walksnail" camera with these? And I think dude meant to say full HD screen instead of "full screen"
yes walksnail is the compatible hd system
Most of this is false information. They’re really shilling these just like uav futures. Crossfire and 70$ goggles gets you wayy more distance.
oh!!! where is the patch antenna on your analog diversity mask. the test is corrupted. Today, digital is necessarily better

this guy said one thing he likes is that it has one screen when two is better for him????? WTF>? sellout Fake crap AD. lol Shame on you.
