It's got to be demoralizing knowing no matter how long you think about it, the computer will instantly reply with the perfect move
I'm sure it is partially true, but when you go into the game knowing that you probably are going to lose, it releases you from any feeling that you need to perform well. Then there is no stress about the result of the game!
@@ChessUSee bro, i am sure you also have played some games against max stock like i have,,,,didnt u feel like we didnt thought too much on our moves like we do against humans cuz we already know,,,no matter what we will play we are going to lose.

How is that demoralizing? Our evolution leads to cybernetics. It’s glorious knowing the potential of what we will become. Control your megalomania and try to not let your ego interfere with the better angels of your judgment.

I bet if Magnus keeps playing that computer, everyone else he plays will be easy!
It's not so much the style of play or the moves of the chess computers that makes it so hard for humans to compete, but rather it is the insane calculation abilities of the computers. They can out-calculate human and win games with ease. I'm sure Magnus uses computers during his tournament preparation though!
That’s not how it works. Every good chess player will tell you that it will rather make you worse at chess than better.
@@fulcocrimson Because ai isnt human
@@hanepkalishka9486 does it matter tho? Human also calculate before proceeding to next move same goes with ai. Its all about calculation imo.
I would gather perhaps it's more difficult to learn from mistakes playing an a.i. as it will always be better and unforgiving. The fatigue would be harsher and you're not able to take any moment and grow from it because you can't see improvements against such an opponent. Playing someone on your level is a better experience to learn from, because it can be more forgiving. Even if you were to play someone far above you, as long as they intend to teach, you can learn a lot more from the loss.
I honestly think chess computers are that good now that it's pretty pointless playing them. Whatever you do they will instantly calculate and play the perfect move. The last time we had a chance against them was when Kasparov played Deep Blue - after that chess engines just took over.
Yeah, the chess computers sure are good! Nowadays its just fun to play the different bot personalities on chess.com! (At least there I stand a chance!)
I think Kramnik might have beaten Deep Blue in a single game as late as 2000? I don't remember though
Nah, as even Magnus said, computers weren't really better than top human players at the time for Deep Blue. It took at least another decade before engines reached a league of their own. IBM made Deep Blue specifically to beat Kasparov and fed it lots of his games, but they didn't keep up their end of the deal and let him have time to study its games. Even so he could have beaten it, but the psychological aspects of it got to him, and they refused a rematch.
Gary fucked it for all of us. The worm!
Chess is simply solved by comps.. Thats reality.. I think GO has more combination then chess, but little bit later, also overcome human... No pity, I do not play chess for reason to beat algorithm.. And I am sure comp do not enjoy it 😁 At that stage people stay better (I hope) otherwise we could recognize new, unhuman race...

You would have to know the larger pattern of a number you dont have the lifespan to count too just to be on par. Youd have to dedicate your whole life to theory against computers using their own frameworks. If you study each move eventually youll find a path and know its path multiple moves ahead and towards stalemate. Never checkmate though, computers dont make mistakes. Theyd never let themselves be in that position. They know which paths end to what.

@@ChessUSee would be nice to see :D
Morphy is so outdated Carlsen would crush him right from the opening
@@thelolmaster1997 I agree Carlsen would probably win, but it would be much closer than you think. Morphy is outdated, but he is still incredibly strong. He was so far ahead of his competition that he would often give pawn odds or even knight odds to his opponents in tournaments just to make it more competitive. Today, grandmasters win games even against Stockfish with pawn odds, so it signals that Morphy could have a chance of beating Carlsen, given just how strong he was during his time. He even ended up quitting chess because there was no real competition for him.
@@MultiCoolman125 Agreed. The mighty Bobby Fischer himself has said "Nobody sees the whole board like Morphy does" meaning his intuition and understanding of chess.

now imagine 2 AI playing with each other
If a computer's chess rating is 3200 and your rating is 2881, you're probably going to lose to the computer. Good game though. Magnus Carlson is still one of the best chess players out there today!
Props to magnus for making this video 6 minutes and 46 seconds long!
I am an AI professor. I developed my first chess engine back in 2004 and now my student developed one for his MSc project. Chess engines today are only limited by the amount of quality games they get to see and the limited computational power provided to them. if the most powerful computers are given a high-level game (let's talk highest-rated computer vs another computer) and standard time, no human can even come close. And we have get to incorporate high-end machine learning into playing chess...we still use game trees. Now imagine having a quantum computing algorithm. It would be insane.
Was gonna comment that Magnus still played well but I mean he's Magnus so I guess that's a given.
Can someone better at chess than me explain how there were no brilliant moves in that game I mean every move was brilliant right?
A brilliant move is reserved for moves that were not only the best possible move, but also ones that are very difficult to see. All of the moves in this game were not that difficult (for a Grandmaster and super computer) to find. In fact, a lot of the moves were simply forced if you don't want to get a worse position.

Так же как не один штангист не сможет соревноваться с подъёмным краном. Так и человек не сможет соревноваться с компьютером.!😎👍
Damn it I wanna see the checkmate for once
The Play Magnus App is built to resign in clearly lost positions, but if I have a new video of the computer playing against other chess.com bots, those chess.com bots are not programed to resign. They will play to checkmate.
I love the bots. They get stronger and stronger. Keeps the game exciting somewhat. But I'm nowhere near that good, so humans will suffice. I'm just saying. Chess rules! 👍👍🤟✌️💯🔥
I like the bots too because it allows me to simulate all sorts of chess matches that otherwise aren't possible! Chess definitely rules!
once enough pieces are gone and the computer still has a tenable position, it becomes nightmarishly difficult as the search tree collapses.
I feel ya. I feel like that's why even playing intermediate bots, if they make it into an endgame with you, and they still have a chance to win, suddenly they feel way stronger in the endgame. A bot that is supposed to play like a mid tier intermediate player suddenly starts to feel like an advanced player who is champion of their local chess club.
Computers are insane, now im curious how this engine is developed
With the help of Machine Learning & Deep Learning
@@mughalindustries2891 dunno. I dont think so. I think that you can write code to iterate through all oppoenent's possible moves (there are not as many as you'd think, especially in mid-late game) then iterate through all your possible moves after and so on and so forth, creating a branching map of possible moves, discarding the branches that are losing and selecting a branch that wins.
There would be trillions of combinations, but honestly, computers are good at this. Its amazing how much data they can remember, especially since this data is quite simple compared to computing graphics engines (which I have done for colision detection or mesh deformation, where there are millions of vertices to move and keep track of)

I usually dont play much chess dont much chess and have no idea about the meaning of expressions like "sicilian defense, queens gambit (yes i watched the series) or the golden opening rules"
Maybe im a progidy😂(propably not😅)
It would be one thing if you beat the engine, but since it eventually gained the advantage and won, leads me to believe that you probably aren't a prodigy. However the opposite could also be true and I don't mean to discourage you from continuing chess. Even the top chess players in the world can't beat (at least easily) the level 25 chess.com computer either. It's probably not a good measuring stick for prodigy-ness.
I'd suggest that you just play 10 minute games on chess.com until you have at least 100 games played or until your rating stabilizes, whichever comes last. I wish you great luck in your chess improvement Robin!
5:12 why Marcus Carlsen didn’t take a2 with his bishop ?
Tower white take bishop, tower black take tower white and he could have the average no ?
@@LeKatanaV loses to Rd7+
very nice game! since its played by a real grandmaster.
Thanks! If you have any other games that you would like to see then please let me know!
no one in here would believe me but i actually won against computer 25 by using computer 9 i was actually trying to do the the opposite of it but computer 9 end up defeating 25 i still cant believe that it happened
I've heard a lot of people say that they have beaten this computer which is strange because the computer is far stronger than any human player. If the bot were operating correctly, nobody would be able to beat or trick the computer.
My guess is that the bot relies on the user's hardware, meaning the device they used to play against the bot, to calculate and make its moves. This is not reliable because older devices or malfunctioning ones would weaken the max computer.
Hopefully this helps :)
Engine: you made a mistake
Magnus: YOU ARE A MISTAKE
God's do bleed
2:51 I would have moved d8 rook to d7, moving f8 rook to d8 position. Stopping the problem of the bot taking out your Bishop when you move your d8 rook from collum D. Which would then allow f8 rook moved to d8 to escort your b5 pawn while being able to possibly take out their pawn a5, while all having their c5 pawn on lockdown by your d4 Bishop.
the computer responds different it will obviously foil ur plans
Kkkkkkkkk bro.
How does a computer tell a computer it’s inaccurate? If the analysis computer can know when a chess engine computer is inaccurate can’t they just use the analysis computer as an engine and be 100% accurate?
Cuz it's not designed to be perfect...that's why it has a rating...pretend it's a human who, somehow, has a 3200 rating. There will still be an inaccuracy or 2 every 50 moves.
The background music alone is calm and beautiful, but in this situation, it sends shivers down my spine.
Word
Truly incredible lots of Best moves from Magnus Carlsen this shows that humans can achieve great things
Wow first time magnus surrendered XD
not really , computers are almost impossible if not impossible to beat
5:04 Marnus could play e5 here
Tough game. Your oponent played well.
Yeah, quite well
I love how there is celestial music for a title match
It achievement for me if I can even survive 20 moves against AI.
Yes, even 20 moves is a challenge!
Thanks for watching the video Mahesh and please consider subscribing!
Technically, it Hass to be possible for you to be able to beat a computer in chess. It’s just incredibly hard because if we put another computer against a computer in chess, one of them Hass to win.
Or what most often happens: Neither can gain an advantage and they draw the game.
@@ChessUSee yes but that still means it can’t win that match also I didn’t know chess could end up in a draw huh learn something new everyweek
@@zharth. well I never heard it could happen in chess
"Your opponent played well" Bit of an understatement.
Me after every move: "OK, but.... why?"
Same here! It really shows me how much I still have to learn about this game while simultaneously making me feel sad that I'm so bad at chess compared to them XD
Thanks for watching the video Denis!
that's excellent background music
