The one they were holding were a representation of “windmills”, a project BBM started & implemented when he was governor of his hometown of Ilocos in the 90’s (placement of 28 huge windmills I believe) look it up Bangui windmills.
Renewables and energy development have always been one of BBM’s advocacies.
bbm has nothing to do with bangui windmills although his campaign suggests that it was his. That is a result of the study made by the National
Renewable Energy Laboratory in 1996 and was developed by NorthWind Power Development Corp. Even the local govt of Ilocos has nothing to do with
that! It just so happened that the location is ideal for wind power installation. bbm knows that and he even said that in one of his interviews!

That's the reason why BBM is chosen by the majority because his message inspires and that emanates from the core of who he truly is... Excellent review. I agree with you. If you managed to follow the entire BBM campaign since October you would notice everything is in sync with each other, the synergy among all elements is so well thought of. Their team is amazing.
This just shows BBM knows how to handle skill sets and plans better. On the otherhand we see failed cheerleaders, singers who sing like goats and some dancers who can't woo their audiences, not to mention a stage falling during the end of a rally. Makes you question how they decide on who works on who's stuff. Like literally, that's how you choose people for those jobs?

Bongbong's ad focus more on the country and the people..i didnt feel like he's promoting himself or uplifting himself but it made me feel like we the people were the ones uplifted in this ad.. And i think it's a good thing.. It's not a self centered video for Bongbong..the team did a great job or whoever came up with the idea..it's so sincere in my opinion.

Language is universal to all Filipinos such as English and Pilipino or Tagalog to communicate to all tribes nationally or internationally. There are over 100 dialects of Filipino tribes. 75 of them are known to be active.

I agree with you on the grandioseness of the music in the BBM ad and also the editing. The song which is originally in tagalog was sung in different languages in the country and it matched the people and locations being shown. The Spaniards were known to have conquered the Philippines by pitching the different tribes against each other. Hence, the regionalistic divide between groups can still be felt to this day. BBM's message is eventhough we have many differences between the different peoples in the country we can still unify under the same flag to go forward. Btw, I hope you can find a video of the grand rally for the Visayas region held in Iloilo last night. I was there and the feeling was so overwhelming. I particularly enjoyed the interaction between the Ilonggos and Andrew E.

The BBM ad is better produced technically and content-wise, the messaging is clear and consistent with the entire campaign message of unity. In the ad, the three major islands of the country, the people, and dialects are very well represented. It makes me feel more proud as a Filipino and has made me appreciate the beauty of my country better. Kudos to Direk Paul Soriano and his team for a well-thought-out and well-executed BBM ad.

Ovela, if you didn't know this - the director of this ad, as well as BBM's other ads, is Paul Soriano - Toni Gonzaga's husband.
The thing they were holding is a pinwheel - to represent the windmills in the Bangui windmill farm. This project is a landmark project of BBM's when he was governor of Ilocos Norte. It is the first of its kind in SE Asia and provides electricity to the region that costs much lower than in the rest of the Philippines.
I appreciate this ad a lot for its inclusiveness (from the Northern to the Southern parts of the country) - every line in the song is in a different Philippine language, the people from all regions are represented and the beautiful/iconic sights from the major islands are shown as well. Unity, it is.
In addition, Direk Paul Soriano (a movie director that is also a relative by marriage) said in an interview that BBM specifically requested that this ad should be Filipino and Philippine centered more than about him.
The windmills are private commercial enterprise (Ayala and Lopez). Not a government project.
Anddd according to Paul Soriano, BBM chooses this song himself. Yep. The rockstar choose this perfect song for his campaign.

BBMs ad can relate love and sincerity in his heart to the Filipino people truly a Unifying President
BBM is a big fan of Filipino artistry and their (our) skills. He said that if he becomes the president, he’ll make sure that he’ll put the best (most efficient, most skillful, most intelligent) people to work with him in the government regardless of their political color. You can see now and since the start of his campaign that everyone who represents him and or performs in the stage with him shows that he’s really capable of picking the right people. We can see as early as now the big difference between these two candidates with regards to their efficiency and management capability.
The different wording in the song was sung in the different dialects in the country. This will reach out to every Filipino which will touch their heart through their own dialect. The toy that they are holding represents the windmill that he introduced in his home town. Also represent his support advocacy in the renewable energy that will solve global warming. He is the pioneer in the construction of windmill farm in the Philippines.
The windmills are private commercial enterprise (Ayala and Lopez). Not a government project.

Leni's ad felt like its all about her and how she wants to care for the poor. With artists praising her on the side. BBM's ad felt like he wants to present how beautiful the Philippines is and how proud we Filipinoes are. BBM's ad represents the country while Leni represents herself.

Those are languages. Not mere dialects. As far as I know, the Commission on the Filipino Language listed 130 spoken languages in the Philippines, some of which are endangered and close to extinction.
Please allow me to explain the difference between language and dialect. Language is the method of communication in a region or place, while a dialect is like a variety of that language. Let me give an example.
Let's have Cebuano (also known as Binisaya/Bisaya). The language is Cebuano, and the dialects are Standard Cebuano (outside Metro Cebu), Urban Cebuano (Metro Cebu), Negros Cebuano, Bohol Cebuano, Leyte Cebuano (Kanâ), and Mindanao Cebuano (Davaoeño Cebuano for example). Please keep in mind though that Negros, Leyte, Bohol, and Mindanao have their respective languages (like Waray-waray, Hiligaynon, Maguindanaon, Meranao, etc). However, there are Cebuanos who migrated and lived in those places who have developed their own variety of Cebuano, creating a different dialect of that language.
Another example is Tagalog. The language is Tagalog, and the dialects are Bataan, Batangas, Bulacan, Lubang, Marinduque, Tanay-Paete (Rizal-Laguna), Tayabas (Quezon), and of course Manila dialect. In short, every language that exist within the archipelago has different dialects.
Some say that the reason why people are confused whether to use language or dialect, is because when the Americans colonized the Philippines, they thought we are just speaking similar languages and labeled the provincial and ethnic languages as dialects. The term dialect was used in our textbooks even after American colonial period. And it seems that there are still books used in schools that uses the term dialect labeled in other languages like Ilocano, Kapampangan, Bicolano, Meranao, Cebuano etc. Sorry for the long reply lol but I hope this helps.

Leni's Ad shows her real life service (real actual footages) to the Filipino people. Her walking behind the video footage shows you her promise - that she will continue the work she has done from the past once elected. It gives you the idea that her candidacy is supported by the those she was able to help and those who believe in her.
BBM's Ad is well thought of and well produced. It is centered with his primary platform of unity. It shows the diversity of the Filipino people - in dialect and culture and with him walking ahead of the people - gives you the idea that through his leadership he will be able to unite the Filipino people.
Leni Ad is so self centered and cajole to go of what they 'really' want - Actress and actors wants to revive defunct ABS-CBN - who give shit. The First scene with the Windmills is Ilocos, Marcos' province. Mayon Volcano which is in Bicol Region is the province of VP Leni. Only goes to show that Marcos will unite everyone even if you are from Bicol.
