Those given questions to him here in this interview SMNI DEEP PROBE, is an impromptu questions unlike the other debates, all of the questions was handed over to the favorite candidates and never to BBM. 3:12 The real reason why BBM didn't attend the said debates is that he's not really into mudslinging or make character assassinations with other Presidential candidates, and also to those who are biased against him. He only showed up on SMNI and DZRH (which is also a Filipino radio media). As for SMNI, this media has the best debate or interview format because it's intellectual-based and issue-based and SMNI really set the standards very high in terms of ethics. Other debates that is organized by other media, even by the Commission on Elections, uses the personality-based format which most people don't really want. Should he attend the personality-based debates or interviews, oh boy....there goes the never-ending recycled tax issues and the Martial Law victims again that is extremely lame. The main point of their biased personality-based debates and other Presidential candidates is that they didn't focus on the real issues, but only for the allegations about the Marcoses.

About the debate, he said that he doesn't want to waste his time on a debate that are mostly criticizing him, or other candidate, name calling him or other candidate etc. Instead, the same day that the debate happened, Marcos talk to the representative of every other organization, like the LGBTQ+ etc. to ask them what's the problem that they are facing, in that way the time that he will waste for the debate, he will instead listen to the problems of Filipinos. And I think that's a Smart move of him, especially that all of tge candidates are anti Marcos, so probably they will just criticized Marcos.

I believe you should have seen the interviews before Bongbong Marcos. He was the last in the line. They had to pass thru a red carpet where Bongbong passed and you have the chance to compare. He is the leading candidate as evidenced by the surveys. There were four presidentiables before Marcos was interviewed. Try watching other videos of him. He is the most qualified. You missed the chance of somehow knowing why he is the people's choice. You just saw the cover and not the content. As the saying goes "Don't judge the book by its cover". Read and analyze the contents from the Table of Contents to the Glossary of Words.

FYI, the very first debate was also held by SMNI News Channel. The 4 bully presidentiables, which includes the self-righteous Robredo, were the ones who did not attend. The reason for that is because, according to Prof Carlos in one of her interviews (one of the panelists) there were no advance questions given to them to really guage the capability and intelligence of the candidates. There's even a candidate (whom she preferred not to name) who consistently asked the network to provide the advance questions. It is so UNFAIR to label Bongbong Marcos as the one who did not attend the debate. Yes, he did not attend the 2 succeeding ones because his schedule is full already and maybe because he does not conform with the idea that advanced questions must be provided to the candidates which, obviously defy the purpose of the debate.

The reason why he did not attend the debates is because those tv stations that sponsored the debates are bias. The host or moderator is the one that asks the questions which also is a leni supporter. So what's the need to attend those debates. This one, although the owner of this tv station is a BBM bias, but he was not the one that ask the questions. They are select panelists that are specialists in tgeir own field. Prof. Carlos is a political scientist, Ms. Sassot is a foriegn policy specialist who teaches in netherlands, atty. Suplico, a franchise expert and Mr. Ang businessman and economist. The questions were based on the platforms of govt. they submitted to the panelists.

I actually watched the whole video of the interview of SMNI to all the Presidential Candidates which was called 'The Deep Probe'. That interview was the Part 2 because the Part 1 was a debate of the Presidentiables and only 5 Presidential Candidates were present during the part 1 & 2, while the other 5 candidates didn't show up because maybe they were busy or maybe as what Prof. Clarita Carlos has said that some are afraid because they didn't get the advance questions that they want, so that's why. The Deep Probe interview started around 2PM, all the 5 candidates that are present were given more than an hour to answer all of the questions that are related to the documents that they gave to the panelists which are connected to their achievements and their platforms. They also answered questions about the deeper problems in the government, the economy, and the country itself. BBM was the last candidate for the interview and it was already around 8PM, he was the most awaited candidate of them all, as usual. The 4 panelists were known as the experts on their own fields of specialization, that's the reason why the interview was really great and it was so unbiased, unlike the other interviews or debates wherein BBM didn't attended because those were biased and they always talked or they're always attacking BBM's past, more than discussing the problems that the country is facing.
So Ovela, the whole interview of BBM was more than an hour. It was quite long but rest assured, you won't regret watching it.

To fully understand, you'll have to know more how politics play here in the Phil.
First, attending debates is not a requirement. They have the freedom to accept or decline.
He has attended interviews, fora and debates. Let's just say those debates that he didn't attend was due to the format. He likes the platform-based ones. We have a history of mudslinging between candidates during some of the debates before esp when a Marcos is involved. True enough, he and his VP were still the topic during the debates they were absent to. It's not that he's afraid but because the issues thrown at him are issues that's been thrown before. Same issues all over again.
And as a frontrunner leading by miles away, for me, strategically speaking, there's no gain in attending such debates. And also, I think it's important to mention that his supporters also agree with his decision.
I will not vote for him just because of the NAME HE CARRIES. I'm going to vote for him because I can truly see his SINCERITY to serve for the people. He has extensive political experience. He has served as governor, vice governor, and senator. He has a MILITARY EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND. Even without the BIASED mainstream media coverage, he has always been IN ACTION in disaster relief and operations. He gets my vote because he is a LEADER, NOT A PUPPET. A leader who wishes to UNITE rather than divide people. Despite physical assaults and being called a thief, a liar, and other hurtful words, he NEVER RETALIATED.
He NEVER EXPRESSED RESENTMENT or HOSTILITY to those who accused them of things they did not do. My vote goes to him because he has a CONCRETE PLAN and a VIVID PLATFORM for the BETTERMENT of the country.
