      Yes but it is all nonsense. He completely ignore why animals develop physical traits. Animals develop specific teeth structures and digestive processes where there is a selective advantage to such traits. Humans, having dextrous hands and the ability to cook never required these adaptations. To compare us to animals that don't have those advantages is scientifically fallacious.

    • @JD-59
      @JD-59 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      @@SickSkilz Humans are extremely adaptive animals. Just because we're intelligent enough to cook and make houses doesn't mean we're intended to eat meat. Besides, I haven't seen a clinical trial that reversed heart disease with a meat based diet. All evidence and clinical outcomes point in the same direction. That is, we thrive on a plant-based diet devoid of animal products.

    • @SickSkilz
      @SickSkilz 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JD-59 there are clinical studies showing that you can reverse it on a vegetarian diet. But most people that have heart disease have had shitty diet for years and need a drastic change . You can plenty well prevent heart disease by eating a raw whole food diet with organic grass fed meat and plenty of good exercise including cardio and weight lifting.

    Our brain is closer to being omnivores in that it is larger than all carnivores and bigger than all herbivores. It matches up because the most intelligent animals are omnivores. We don't have sharp canines because we are the cleverest of the omnivores we are able to construct weapons, tools and traps to catch and cut up prey which is what great apes do but to a much lesser degree hence their larger cainines. We are omnivores some omnivores need to eat less meat and more plants than other omnivores what makes us not one of those omnivores?

Were you upset that he deflected the question/comment made about termites? That's what I'm assuming since you say "he shut down potential education by being political". I just wanted to give you my own two cents on that if it was indeed what upset you. Most educational events are scheduled in some way or fashion and are also scripted. The reason for most education being structured this way is to enhance focus. You couldn't respond to any and all "potentially educational opportunities" because the topic and focus could dramatically shift away from the intended content. We know that asking irrelevant questions does this but we have to be "tolerant" enough to understand that we might be defining "relevant" a bit differently than someone else. To the speaker, that "potentially educational opportunity" about termites was not relevant enough to respond to during this presentation. People can have all kinds of questions, ridiculous and irrelevant, or wise and relevant. Someone could have asked him "Are the amount of spots on a cheetah a result of how much nutrition they're getting?" That question seems absurd to me... but someone might call it a "potentially educational opportunity". Personally, I wouldn't call it relevant and I wouldn't want to answer it (at least in much detail) because I wouldn't want to encourage more questions like it. So really, why not just judge a speaker for yourself on how reasonable their deflections to questions are. We should give them the benefit of the doubt first and ask ourselves "Was it within reason for them to avoid spending time on this/that topic. Nobody can or will ever be able to deliver you all of the information you want and are interested in.

      @@denniso4405 thank you for your question. Your comments are well thought out and executed. You are not being negative. But your question shows me that you do not understand what was upsetting to me. Commenting that "... the weak are sought out, maybe they're wearing a MAGA hat" . That is a political comment. More so it is a derogatory comment that could be considered picking on one group of individuals, just like racism would be considered if you said something negative about someone who was not white. I'm not a Trump lover, but he is the president of the United States and making references to a MAGA hat...in the way the speaker did at minute 11 said that those who might wear one are weak or negative, is inappropriate. Just as inappropriate as a racial comment would be. I am willing to learn about a plant-based diet, even though I do not currently believe that that is a way for a human to eat. I am actually subscribe to this channel, again to understand opposite viewpoints. That's how I was raised, let others have their say and evaluate. But that's not the question. The question is why is it appropriate to be negative to one group, and not to another group? I stopped being receptive because of the comment about the MAGA hat. And his inappropriate political reference. It is well within my rights, not to listen to negativity.

      Even if you don't believe in the bible, think of all the people that do and are inspired to consider plant-based because of this reference. Biblical doctrine describing humanity having "dominion" over other life has played a huge role in the development of our culture and its disconnect from nature. There were numerous interpretations, many which posited that the terminology was not meant to mean "dominion" but instead "stewardship" - but our culture and society has favored interpretations that have put humanity and human interests above understanding our part within a wider system of ecology. I welcome interpretations of any religious text that explores how such belief systems can inspire sustainability and optimal, symbiotic life with other species. I'm not religious, but I dual majored in environmental studies and conflict resolution, with a focus on religious ethics and how ppl of different faith backgrounds or belief systems can come together over environmental goals. So I guess I have a soft spot for any and all efforts to "green" the faith doctrines that sooo many people follow, because it creates potential for positive change.

    • @jeijeirenee6330
      @jeijeirenee6330 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Vanessa-fs7oz I totally see your point and agree with you to an extent. But I can't stand by and accept any idea from this guy on the basis of his entire presentation all on its own, regardless of religious involvement. He conflates people who eat meat with predatory obligate carnivore animal species, and literally omits facts about those carnivores which apply also to the herbivores which humans have equal commonality with both. (Social structures are present in both carnivore and herbivore mammals) and I don't think he even knows how humans actually hunt, we don't use our noses (not primarily anyways) we use our patented big brains! And yes humans absolutely look for the easiest animal to catch when hunting. Also also, predators absolutely go for the biggest prey they think they can catch, but they'll never miss an easy opportunity when one is presented. This guy doesn't understand that because humans evolved with tools, eating a wide variety of foods for likely millions of years, that human physiology isn't going to look like a predator, we aren't obligate predators. Humans are omnivores. We have to eat a certain amount of fruits and veggies to get enough vitamin C, and we have to eat a certain amount of dairy or meat to get enough B12. B12 all on its own is proof that we've evolved eating meat for so long, we no longer make B12 in our own bodies. Same goes for vitamin C, many predators make their own vitamin C, but humans do not. Because we evolved from fruit eating primates. Then we left the fruit rich trees and incorporated meat or at least eggs into our diet long enough that our intestines are completely different from our primarily fruitivore upper primate cousins.
      Humans are obligate omnivores. There is a minimum amount of meat and fruit that needs to be eaten for a human to remain healthy.

All ancient sun gods were born like Jesus, that proves all these stories were written in allegory, Jesus and all other "sun gods" are a metaphor.
