      Plant based news, could you look at Tai Lopez's podcast about veganism, was with Ben Greenfield talking about veganism being healthy if done right but being much easier to get correct nourishment from eating some animal products. Would love to know what some docs have to say.

      Government won't do anything even when 90% of the population will have the same opinion, it's $$ that counts, not people. It's proven time and time again. The only way is to stop buying the stuff so even subsidies won't help.

    He mentions dairy being linked to acne. I'm in my 40's and have had acne since I was 11 years old. I chose a vegan lifestyle 18 months ago, my skin is the best it has been since I was 10. It is not 100% clear, but has improved probably by 95%. (maybe if I stopped the wine, I would gain that additional 5% ;) ).

    • @alexandermason60

    • @alia_babo
      @alia_babo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      To be specific, it's skimmed milk that is proven to worsen acne in some (but still many) people. Other milks like low-fat or whole maybe the culprit too, but it's not really supported. It's a bit more certain that dairy worsens eczema and that's why I started eating plant-based. It's not 100% clear for me too, but my eczema breakouts are only on my hands which is explainable since I wash my hands a lot especially nowadays and am too lazy to moisturize every time I wash my hands. Before going plant-based, I would get it on my upper arms, thighs, and shins. It was fascinating how everything cleared up one I stopped consuming something.

      Herbivore Beauty so what is it?
      You just said, "most of us can't digest it properly."
      Yeah, that's because the milk is pasteurized. Raw milk contains enzymes and lactase making it super easy to digest.

    • @AshleyNaoWellness
      @AshleyNaoWellness 6 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      Jorge Rodriguez i said most people aka 65-75% of the world is lactose intolerant because milk wasn’t meant to be consumed into adulthood in any species, including humans. I’m not going to argue because a simple google search will provide you with the information, or you can actually watch the video in its entirety to have the reasons why most of us are lactose intolerant to begin with, but what you choose to believe makes no difference to me😊 have a good day

    • @dassitdassall
      @dassitdassall 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Herbivore Beauty Again, 65% - 75% of the world is lactose intolerance because of pasteurized milk. The milk loses all of its enzymes, probiotics, lactase and so on.
      Most google searches will talk about pasteurized milk which is garbage, raw milk is something completely different.

      @kevinf4896 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No one needs it but once some human populations developed the genetic mutation to allow the digestion of lactose after infancy, the mutation became the dominant allele in those populations. Therefore, one can extrapolate that for those populations, not all humans, digesting lactose as an adult, aka drinking animal milk, provided a benefit that increased their reproductive fitness Ive that of those that could not aka they had more offspring survive than ones who could not digest lactose. And while it might not look symbiotic, because the cow is treated very poorly and killed if male and not needed for impregnating more female dairy cows, humans and cows have a symbiotic relationship genetically. Cows as a species (genetically) are very successful as they have high reproductive fitness, producing more offspring, enabled by humans who want them for food or milk. So genetically, it all makes sense. Morally, it does not. However as soon as all humans give up milk and meat, all cows go away and just simply won’t exist anymore...they likely cannot survive on their own in nature having spent millennia being bred to be passive and losing their roaming abilities

    This is such a great video. Sorry, Milton Mills for your Uncle's passing. My father had prostate cancer in 60s and was lucky to have caught it early where he had to have it removed. I went vegan 11 years ago not because someone told me to. I was researching science and it lead me to the detriments of these animal foods. My dads PSA has dropped since he has given up dairy. He switched to soy and almond milk. My PSA is .7 got tested a year ago at 39.

      Sydney Conrad The point is, to think people will believe you just because you have solid proof is bullshit. You can tell everyone this and that..Repeating scientific facts and studies told by your vegan gurus....But that doesn't mean everyone will listen to you. Well, why you think people (including vegans) still bother to drink alcohol and consume sugar when there are tons of scientific studies showing how bad these things gonna screwed up their health? Alcohol can also cause cancer, ruined liver function and sugar can f****d up cholestrol level as well. I am not gonna spoon fed you so go and show me evidence if I was wrong.
      Of course you don't know. All you vegans ever care is to repeat the studies which only blames meat, dairy and eggs.

    Doctor...Please don’t concern yourself with negative comments... You’ve worked with people for YEARS, you’ve seen much more than MOST of us! You know what you’re taking about. Your messages are being heard and will reach the right people! The people who have illness. Keep up the GREAT work!
    After I reached the age of 50, I began to experience joints aching. It felt like what I believe arthritis would feel like...(aching). Since I was in my 50s, my first thought was that I’m just getting older and arthritis was a normal part of aging. I later began NOT to accept that and I was determined to get down to the root cause. I researched and later learned from OTHER physicians and health care professionals that dairy can cause inflammation. I was consuming dairy at home and milk based coffee drinks at least 2-3 days per week at work. So I listened to what I hear from practitioners about diet, related health conditions, and the dangers of dairy. I stopped dairy completely. The aching disappeared and hasn’t returned. It is 100% GONE. I literally forgot all about it! It’s all gone. So it was not arthritis, it was dairy. Dairy gone...pain gone! And it only took 5 days for this aching to stop after eliminating dairy. Now I notice that if I do experience any beginning joint soreness, I look at what I ate the previous day or two. I always discover some hidden dairy included in something I ate....THE DOCTOR IS RIGHT!

Still, I suggest you do like Mr. Mill up there and never post them. You will lose all credibility by posting a link to a website with unverifiable sources because they are based on studies in the 60s and 70s. The time of black and white tv. Oxford has the document for in house consultation for historical purpose but they will not show it online because of how unscientific it would be to use such documents. I can tell you right now, he said his so called facts without even being able to see if they were valid.

      FOURTEEFIVE All dairy contains pus and unless you would lick your fingers popping a zit, why do you think that pasteurized pus makes it okay. Pasteurization does not even kill all the bacteria in milk. I quit milk because I could barely sign my name I had so much arthritis in my fingers. But I was also in and out of a wheelchair because of arthritis in my back.
      Yes, it is unwise to get rid of the wheelchair, but I don't use it any longer because I am not afflicted with pain like that any longer. My split heels cleared up quitting dairy and my skin has never been better. I also no longer get urinary tract infections at all. I used to be on antibiotics at least 4 times a year for that. I now take no medications and not only is this true for me but also my husband. And neither of us have asthma any longer. My husband's asthma was worse than mine, he was on his pump and nebulizer every night in some months. He has no signs of asthma now.
      People think they need dairy for calcium, but it is not the right kind for us to absorb well. It is better to eat kale and other dark green leafy vegetables. I had a fracture which would not heel and took all the calcium pills which I think just went right through me.
      We are designed to eat plants. Kale healed my ankle and I had pain from that ankle nearly two years. Kale daily for a month, it was well.
      My mother died from brittle bone, I do not intend for that to be me. She fell and her femur shattered like it was glass. Six months after the fracture she was dead. She had had breast cancer also and so did my sister, which was likely from the casein protein in milk. This led to the death of my mother and sister.
      The calcium in almond milk or in soy is so much better absorbed and it will not give you cancer and keeps your bone strong.
      My parents were German and Norwegian. I do far better without any dairy at all. Dairy was the cause of my husband's Prostate cancer.
      Does cancer sound healthy to you?

    I appreciate you taking the time for clarifying your points which makes so much sense, Dr. Mills. You can't fix ridiculousness. My first year in college, I had a professor say to me, "Don't believe what you think." And that phrase has stayed with me to this day. Many people have a hard time accepting that what they believed their whole life is a lie, or untrue. And they will do and say anything to perpetuate the falsehood which is sad. It's become a part of the social media's darker side of misinformation and misleading truths. Case in point, Donald Trump, Fox News and Ketosis Diets. Keep up the great work, Dr. Mills. Looking forward to your book that explains the physiology of we plant-based eaters....Random Question: How much of our evolutionary diet included insect protein? That would be interesting to know. And for Plant Based News, do you advocate or have any information on the nutritional value of insects, which types might be appropriate to enhance vegan diets? Very informative channel, btw. The GI doctor said my 16 yo needed whole milk. He has digestive issues, headaches, aches & pains,Constipation. Yet eating processed food & dairy was not addressed.

    Great video, thank you! I love it when all the great plant based doctors reply to these ignorant comments! I’ve learnt a lot from them.

    A flawless, intelligent, well-informed argument. One tiny point, he is actually being very conservative about the evolution matter (because his position is so strong). Modern humans go back not 100,000 years but about 300,000. And the systematic production of dairy in a widespread industrial form did not begin until around the fourteenth century (again, conservative).

    Awesome! Thank you for your ongoing informative expertise. Can anyone understand why vegans have to spend most of their time defending themselves about being vegan?
    There allot of very aggressive meat eaters on TH-cam doing everything in their power to debunk anything plant based. I don’t get it.

    Dr. Mills thank you for kindly addressing the ignorant haters' comments. I've seen many of your videos and had the opportunity to hear you speak in person. I've always been impressed with your knowledge and professionalism. I'd like to add that the argument people often make, regarding using animals, that people have been doing these things for thousands of years so that makes the behaviors okay is RIDICULOUS. People have been doing a lot of horrible, stupid things for thousands of years, and every generation sheds some ignorance and helps humanity evolve. Cultures evolve and change, and we must if we are to become truly civilized.
