Thanks Franky! I'm so relieved to have made it to the end. The fun things are happening these days. The construction was NOT fun this year! 🥴 🎄 Needed lotsa this: 🍷
Dear Thea, it's begining to look a lot... 😊 Wonderful country side !!! You are now touching the end, don't you ? A very very happy first december week-end.
Great work, Thea. You inspired me to make my own Christmas village last year. Following your videos, I made styro-foam mountains and did the starry sky. I made my sky own using black foam core board, a fiber optic bundle and a flashlight taped to the end. Your village looks grand. I will stay tuned for the finale.
Thank you so much for the hint! If I build next time I will be using the core board and twinkle lights. The canvases are just too difficult to hang without using nails. How great that we can swop ideas and tricks!! Love it.
My starry sky is placed in a bay window behind my village. I used three black foam core boards and fiber optic cables from a bundle they sell on Amazon to make starry skies for cars, bedrooms, etc. I poke holes in the foam core board representing star constellations or just random patterns. Then I pass the cables through the holes and apply hot glue to the back, then trim the excess flush with the foam core board with a pair of diagonal wire cutters. The back of the panel gets messy real quick. My bundle was over 200 fibers. Hanging them on a wall would be a real challenge. You could probably enclose the boards with a frame or box. Anyway it's fun to experiment. I started out just placing LEDS on the boards but the fiber optic cables only need a single source of light and look much nicer. Continue to enjoy watching your finished village. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!@@TheasChristmasVillages
@@davidryan672 wow thank you David! I'm certainly going to consider that for next year. Think I will staple or peg the twinkle lights to the cork board and cover the entire wall with lightweight black fabric. I'll try a test panel first and see if it's a workable solution. Those twinkle lights come with a built in timer, so no switching off and on. I have a year to experiment and come up with something that should work better than what I currently use. Much appreciate your input!! Merry Christmas and have a wonderful New Year!! 🎄☃️🎉
Your videos are sooooo awesome. What you did today is incredible. Just a gorgeous village you are creating. Do you have a certain place where you order your trees from? I want some larger ones other than what Lemax or Department sells, but I have no idea where to look.
Thanks Grumps!! I have been purchasing trees for more years than I can remember. I find them and keep a look out for them everywhere. Craft stores, thrift stores, Christmas stores, even flea markets now and then. Everywhere and anywhere. My preferred trees are the ceramic ones, they always look top-notch. There is a website where a crafter takes all his old trees and refurbishes them, and I've wanted to try that, but haven't done it yet. Hello, I bought it in a thrift store where I live. I now realize this particular barn, made by O'Well China, is really hard to get. They occasionally show up on e-Bay or Etsy, but are already over 25 years old. Mine had never been taken out of the original box, so I really lucked out.
Thank you!!! This helps so much. I enjoy watching you build.
Glad to help. Love having you watch.
Country side looks great Thea, such a great artist, bringing it all to life. Love love it🎄🎄🎄
Thank you Sherri! A little fine tuning yet and it will be all done.
Looks good Thea. I love your entire setup❤
It sure was a tough slog this year! But so worth it. So thank you! 🤗
Beautiful 🥰
Thank you! Cheers!

Great job! I am curious about the barn, who makes it?
