    There is nothing better than learning the secrets of the craft from your father; such experience and school are priceless. The young master will already be a product of his time, bringing into him all the skill of the old school and developing it in a new way. There are no identical masters, just as there are no identical opals. Well done!!!

    It's so good to see Saxon getting involved, I remember when I met him in 2019 and talking to him about Opal and he seemed slightly interested but was looking to enjoy other aspects of life as he got older. I remember saying to you that he would find the same passion for Opal that you’ve got, it will just take time 💙

    Great work Saxon! That is beautiful! I get teary every time your dad lights up the little flame with your grandfather's lighter. It was sort of breathtaking to see you do the same!
    I imagine being an opal cutter must be like having a different job each day because you cut something new each day. No two are the same and they all require a different strategy.

    Stick to your dad like glue and learn everything he can teach you.
    I learnt lot's from my dad but no longer have him to teach me now I try to pass on what I can to my son.
    You're dad is a master at what he does and some day you can pass the knowledge on to your son.

    Nice job saxon,beautiful gem . I liked seeing that you swiped off the opal after the polishing liked your dad. I got a lot of great ways to do things from my grandfather when we were woodworking in his workshop each summer when I was a little boy. Turned me in to a
