Radiation doesn’t penetrate very far into solid liquid. On our planet that’s one major reason we have had difficulty with any ocean projects. It’s extremely difficult to communicate with or sometimes even detect things deep below
If one were to do a project of this size how much pourable resin would you have to use on a project of this size? I'd like to try some but I worry the cost of resin would be prohibitive. Wado.

I must have seen you do it a hundred times on this channel before, but that moment after you sand the block of resin and you hit it with the gloss varnish and it goes completely transparent, it's just pure magic. Awesome work!

Я удивлена, что мастер столько работающий с эпоксидной смолой заливает следующий слой эпоксидной смолы после полного отверждения предыдущего, в результате чего получает в отливке четкий контакт слоев!!!
Чтобы не было видно контактов слоев, надо либо зашкурить поверхность (но при наличии мелких выступающих элементов сложновато, но возможно), либо, что гораздо проще, заливать следующий слой не дожидаясь полного отверждения предыдущего - на стадии желирования. Я проверяла - это работает. Тем более, в данном случае используется медленная смола для толстых отливок, время отверждения которой 7-10 дней, стадия начального желирования наступает на 3-4 день, а то и позже в данном случае даже можно не ждать стадии желирования, достаточно выждать время протекания активной стадии полимеризации с выделением тепла, а она заканчивается в течение 1-2 суток, а по факту для медленных смол процесс полимеризации медленный с малым выделением тепла, выделение тепла не особо заметно, но правда я не стояла над работой с термометром. Некоторые производители медленных эпоксидных смол рекомендуют во избежание перегрева и закипания состава в первые несколько дней дополнительно создавать "благоприятный" температурный режим в помещении для "отвода" тепла 12-14С, да, возможно процесс полимеризации замедлится, вместо 7-10 суток займет 14 суток, но зато результат будет гарантированный.
И, конечно, рекомендуется производить тестовую заливку смол, т.к. при заявленных одинаковых параметрах поведение материала может отличаться в зависимости от марки и производителя.
