Make a save state before Marik. Use a Gameshark code after beating the game to get Ra. That's what I did. Beat all of the repeatable duelists again. Only Marik was worth redueling.
Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution represents the anime duels pretty well. I'm not the biggest fan of the game but for casual anime fans it could be a nice one to play through.
@@RyanAtlus i think playing the Arcs Yourself would be fun, slipping from Arc to Arc in a "semi open world" style. Like Tales of Arise, have every chapter be wildly differently styled.
I hope if they do this again they have the perspective switch from your character for specific fights with you playing as either Yugi or Joey for the anime fights With maybe having additional challenge in that you have to use their decks instead of your own
So I decided to play along and earn the retro achievements for myself. I'm in the semi-final against Yugi, totally in control of the board, 4 traps, perfectly ultimate great moth on field and 4 exodia pieces in my hand. I draw monster reborn and decide to play it just to have room in my hand to draw, I didn't even check to see what was in Yugi's graveyard. Then Boom! Dragon Master Knight. A 5000 divide body. I was in shock. I checked his hand and saw he hand 4 cards and hadn't played a card last turn. I assume he discarded Dragon Master Knight so he could draw next turn. Talk about amazing luck 😁 Me, DMK and PUGM just sat back and waited for that last exodia piece lol.
I voided the no save run like 5 times, not because I lost but because at various points in my run, I returned home out of muscle memory. I eventually got it though.
What a coincidence you are playing this, I started watching your 100% Achievement run on Reshef Of Destruction yesterday! I own this game as a kid! Even thought I got extremely disappointment on how easy it was, I still had fun with it and completed it 4 times to find some neat secrets!
Man, I had both of these games as a kid, but watching this I realize all my memorize about them are from Reshef. I completely forgot Sacred Cards was this easy, had no permanent effects, had a different shop and most of all, had these big portraits. I didn't realize there were this many differences.
If Reshef removed that stupid cursor and gave Sacred Cards-tier deck capacity, it would be a infinitely better game. Alas we'd have to say goodbye to Slifer The Sky Dragon's Permanent Effect: 3X powered up for every card in the own hand.
I finished playing Reshef some years back and then found out this game existed. I thought to myself : I can play this for a few weeks! Two days later I had beaten the game.
@@VKillershoe if I recall, it doesn't have backlighting at all. And I was ADDICTED as a kid. I played it like 10 hours a day. At night, I couldn't see the screen so I had the attachable lamp. For context, I beat the elite four even after my cartridge battery died. I thought it was an issue with my Gameboy and never realized it was the cartridge. I still have it and the lamp so maybe I'll check later; but I'm almost positive it had little to no backlighting. It was the purple/clear game it color if that's relevant.
I remember beating this one quite a few times back in the day. Even did it using decks based around each of the six fields. Honestly, I've been itching to play it again myself, though I'd need to find my DS and the charger for it (because my GBA's R button is broken).
I'm surprised when people discuss about Duelist Kingdom it took until the transition into Battle City arc when the game rule changed. I am a Season 0 enjoyer. Not saying the series change was bad. Anyways, I certainly am no exception when it comes to contemporary tcg rules of Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon. This game was my realization of what the deal with Yu-Gi-Oh! was. I love this game despite its faults but glad it has occasional relevance when Forbidden Memories is discussed. The videogame spinoffs are just oddities in the insane franchise.
Do you have problems with your feet? A lot of problems with back, neck and knees come with flat feet. Some Training to fix your walking posture might do the trick
Sad that they don't let you save once you beat the game. I remember being heartbroken in the middle of the night when I finally beat it
I think they intend you to do the speed run

i think its force saved when you get to that point.
maybe you can help, i talked to everyone more then once but they dont go away, is my game bugged?
@@steverichman4962you have to duel everyone. Click the R right button to duel people
Honestly I wish they would do another yugioh game in this style. I feel with modern hardware you could do all the main tournament arcs of og yugioh

The classic lose to Marik Ishtar because the game gave you a completely awful starting hand and draws against him, is like Reshef never ended.
Bro, when asprey said, "Did the blimp land for me?!" I was laughing so hard. That's so funny.

I played through this while watching one VOD of your recent Reshef playthrough

Loving the nostalgic Yugioh content. Would be awesome to see you play capsule monster coliseum sometime!

Someone actually made a mod that removes the cursor and revert the cost of cards iirc
Look up Reshef Is Actually Tolerable Now.
You can polish a turd but it's always a turd
@@Peelster1 They changed way too much in that. I play with just the cursor scroll removed and max duelist level and the game is much more fun.
Hearting breaking ending. So, so close to the achievement!
This video got me to google if 'outsized' was real, and now I am 100% gonna use it every time it's appropriate

The Gameboy Advance screens were ass though. Had to buy a little LED lamp that fit into the link cable port. Then they released the SP...
I had the same with the GBC before I got an sp lol

There's a mod that removes the cursor scroll in reshef by removing 1 line of code
I remember playing it on GBA, used deck with strong monster, final and exodia
oh my god sacred cards!! I hope you play day of the duelist too, I was too dumb as a kid to finish it :'D
Perfect timing, I'm saving this video for my trip 💙
