You can also blame Bakura, too. In the original manga, he kills Pegasus. In the anime, Pegasus lives and goes on to make more Fusion monsters, and then Synchro and Xyz. Kaiba is too preoccupied with revenge to focus on more mechanics, which is why summoning mechanics stop evolving.
The real reason the timeline was re-written was because he left a memo behind that, if his tech were to even destroy the world, then as the President of Kaiba Corp he'd declare the timeline invalid.
It is not that weird to be honest. Like, our world could be changed for ever if someone finally decides to start using nukes. And it all might have started because of an idea they heard at some point in their lives.
@@PoopyHead78902 Well it can very well be, its the same with WW2, if Hitler was accepted to the art school, things could of gone very different, I'm not saying no Hitler no war 100% but it could of been. And we would live in a completely different world.
I still don't think Kaiba outright died, given that he needed the quantum cube to visit the afterlife in the first place and how Atem is clearly smiling, which he wouldn't be if Kaiba just threw his life away, but the timeline still makes sense if he survived since he would still be on a drastically different route than the previous anime. Fantastic stuff.
This timeline actually makes so much sense, and it makes me happy to see two of my favorite characters (Zarc and Kaiba) play large roles in it in different ways. This is now the canon in my mind for the entire franchise. Kudos for your hard work!!
@@one.2622 man why you even here if you're not a die hard fan I literally remember being 5 waking up on Saturday watching the Original Yugioh, literally was my childhood.
I feel you man! Some of my best memories as a kid was dueling, getting together with friends to trade , playing with duel disks outside and cosplaying characters. One of my only after school activities was going to books a million and playing card games and making new friends. I still remember moments in my childhood where I got cards I never thought I would. One summer I had spent with my step brother, he ended up moving far away at the end of that summer. But before he left he gave me his slyther the sky dragon and told me about him moving. I've bonded a lot through Yu-Gi-Oh and I won't forget the great times I had. Much love

The point made about Zarc made so much sense. I thought it was silly how he just sort of combined with his dragon through just malice alone. But Add in the context that Chaos is in the world it could be controlled by someone with enough will power, it makes sense now!
Takahashi was like a hero to me. Opening inspiration into music playing, singing, drawing, being aware of industry censorship, and third language learning. May he be in peace. May he be smiling.
If this be the end for your yu-gi-oh content, the you could not have gone out with a bigger bang. This is a wonderfully constructed peace of lore analysis that brings together almost all of the yugioh franchise that I’m definitely adopting as head canon. Whatever you go for next I’ve got no doubt that you’ll knock it out of the park just like you have these last fuw years. Great job!

You deserve my uncontested respect, even if the theory ends up not making sense when i finish watching, the sheer ammount of work and thinking done deserves so much respect. Pop off!
Just look at Kaiba's ambition in the movie The Dark Side of Dimensions, he will definitely continue to try to defeat ATEM which will definitely give rise to many branch dimensions, so don't be surprised if Kaiba will definitely become an important figure in the Yu Gi Oh universe 🤣🤣
I want a series that goes back to the fundamentals of the first show. A focus on egyptian mythos, shadow magic, and whatnot but with a modern design. Clean, sleek, realistic duels. Fast paced while complex.
@@reyrey9752 Hey I didn't say I didn't like the new stuff, I just think its been a while and a new art style and animation tech would kill with the old mythos
I can’t believe you are bringing so much information from all over. You using the dark side of dimensions movie to prove that that is the ritual summoning time period for Vrains sealed the deal for me. Love this theory and it is totally part of my head canon now!
Rest in peace Takahashi. We shall never see his likes again. Also, thank you for the awesome video. The depth of the analysis was incredible, and the positivity regarding the modern parts of ygo have really boosted my motivation to keep watching the new series and keep playing the cardgame! Much love from Sweden!
I absolutely love how you were able to connect the manga and the anime together. Personally, I would put sevens and go rush on their own timeline. Clearly events similar to the previous Yugioh anime (at least up to arc v) happed within that timeline due to background references, but too much about the card game itself is different. Before rush duels, there didn’t seem to be any extra deck mechanics at all. Fusion is invented during the events of Sevens. Also the technology in both sevens and go rush is around the same level of DM/GX
uh no, Sevens has master duel format but yuga hates it. Fusion was invented for go rush and rush duel fusions are different then master format ones. It similar but too different.
Master duel fusion summoning does exist in the Sevens Universe. When the rush duel version of fusion is revealed, one of the character directly compares it to polymerization. In addition, unlike Maximum cards, which had to be created from scratch throughout the series, fusion monsters in Sevens already exist, and it’s rather the rush duel exclusive version of polymerization, named Fusion, that has to be created/obtained
@@cozzillagaming1869 not at all. The character who “compares it to polymerization” is simply stated that the English word Fusion (used for the mechanic in the Rush universe instead of the Japanese word) means fusion. Polymerization in Japanese is “Yūgō” (which is just the normal word for fusion). He isn’t talking about a card
@@sarthakarora3212 not master duels. The format that Yuga replaces is referred to as “Goha Duels”. It’s the same as rush duels minus the infinite normal summoning, extra draws, and the zones. There is no extra deck
Good thing is, Duel Links' lore confirms that Duel Links is an expantion of Vrains, so it's in fact official that "Vrains" and "Dark side of Dimensions" must be related. Bad thing is, Duel Links' lore confirms that Zexal happens in a totally different timeline separated from the first 3 series, Arc-V dimensions are different from the previous series and YuGiOh Duel Monsters anime and manga are different timelines I'm sure with the Duel Links' lore this theory can be refined into the final YuGiOh theory and a "official" timeline
i still wonder why in zexal yuma was aware of the dm ace monsters in episode 15 theres a part where you can see blue eyes, dm , dmg , and neos which proves that zexal is relevent to gx and dm and also i wonder why they don’t use fusions after gx
@@zerozeroeight I don't remember if it's the case in 5ds but in Zexal there's one instance of fusion summoning, Kaito fusions summons Twin Photon Lizard in the same duel where we see Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction, episode 22
Your Vrains argument being a sequel to the Manga and DSoD actually has even more support. In Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links, the setting is a virtual world. One that crosses dimensions. And one that is built by none other than Dark Side of Dimensions Seto Kaiba.
The work, the time, the persistence this video needed to be made is beyond my imagination. Thank you very much for helping us understand the story of our favourite piece of childhood.
My best theory that makes sense is that Yugioh is a multiverse with different time streams due to the fact the OG Yugioh has three animated continuities (Toei (Season Zero),DM and the manga/DSOD). 5Ds has shown us Yusei,Bruno and Sherry lost in time space with different time streams around them and DSOD Kaiba can also travel through time, space and other dimensions so it’s not out of the realm of possibility for the franchise plus it opens the door to more world building without making everything a mess.
it's such a shame that this is the end of yugioh content on this channel, loved your theory vids and your yugioh gx rewrite series. Still, you went out with a bang & I love all the work & theory crafting you did here, it's so convincing that this should definitely be canon.
Ah man, you were my favorite and only Yugioh TH-camr. Heck, you got me back into the franchise. I rewatched the final season of Dual Monsters and fell in love with both Zexal and VRAINS because of your theory videos. I am thrilled that you finally made your Yugioh timeline video, but I'd hate to see the end of your Yugioh content.
I like how you handle the timeline. Where Yugioh Everything took a multiverse approach, you lined it all up based off of the tech/science behind behind it all. It's interesting the different ideas that came out of each. I wish you well on your next chapter. Also perhaps I missed it, but how did Kaiba's 2nd brother play a role in the timeline? I dont' think you explained how that connected
I think he forgot, but I can only assume it’s because that arc kept Kaiba interacting with the main cast, and thus made his inclusion in the finale of Duel Monsters more understandable. I mean they all just escaped another simulation together, so it makes sense that Kaiba would have a vested interest in whatever shenanigans Yugi and co would get up to, and jump into things himself if anything looked interesting or concerning
The anime timeline is messed up because of what Paradox did, he time traveled to Yugi's era taking with him cards that did not yet exist and causing Jaden and Yusei to pursue him causing even more cards that did not yet exist to appear in Yugi's timeline. This created a butterfly effect which is something we seem to get a hint of through Yugi's deck, he has some cards that he shouldn't have in his deck (such as Bonds Between Teacher & Student).
Amazing video, as always. I'm very sorry about the circumstances that have left you burnt on Yu-Gi-Oh, but I am excited to see you explore new franchises!
This is the first time I have seen someone try to put the manga into these timelines and I have to say that this is now the timeline I believe in. Also R.I.P. Kazuki Takahashi this video feels like the perfect tribute to him and I hope that even though he isn't around anymore that people will still find comfort and excitement in reading/watching his works. So may he live on in his works through which he will never be forgotten
@@JD-xz1mx well would you prefer to show people only what began and ended with you, or to show what you and your creation inspired? Whatever you say everything Yu-Gi-Oh can be obviously traced back to the original Yu-Gi-Oh, showing just how influential he and his work was and that his story didn't die together with him, but that it will live on.
The re-contextualization that the Manga is it's own seperate dimension as a result of ARC-V gives us a perfect answer of "Where the protagonists are in ARC-V?" They, too, were re-born in the manga timeline. Only one instance of Yugi, Jaden, Yusei, and Yuma ever existed - When history was re-written when Zarc was split up, the first four protagonists were separated from the ARC-V timeline, and were brought into the rebirth of the Standard dimension. With time, as the pieces of Zarc reunited in ARC-V, they too, would be reborn in the ARC-V Manga as their own individual people.
GOD DAMNIT! you've definitely filled in many a gap(s) for me & motivated me to install project Ignis* on my phone. Good job. I appreciate it the nostalgia spike.
It's a shame the death of Kazuki, now we will never actually know what could be next after dark side of dimensions or have something new from the pharaoh and Kaiba. Good luck finding new franchises to analyze.
@@walterlopez5054 That is a good question to ask. Well first of all, that would mean Joey would get Ra from Merik. Yugi and Kaiba would play out the same, but now I think Joey would probably still be out of commission from the duel, since it took even more effort to finally win. This would mean that Joey would have Ra going forward even though Yugi won the tournament. It would definitely change the seal of Oricalchos arc, since the cult would only have 2 of the cards.
@@Superderpynerd Well we never have seen the final battle city duel between Joey and Yugi it only got teased. but how is it in the manga was it shown there.
Very nice video man. I am the very same guy you were talking about, when I say I stopped watching after 5Ds, and if I’m being honest, I didn’t finish GX nor 5Ds, but thank you so much for doing this, I really do want to go back to Yu-Gi-Oh because of you. Please don’t stop man, you just earned a new sub
Thank for all the hard work you have done you are true duelist. You made me look at the world of Yu-Gi-Oh in a completely new light. Let the Heart of the Cards be with you with you forever. You have my deepest respect.
You had some very interesting ideas in this. I can't imagine how much time and effort went to piecing this all together. However, one problem is that in Sevens the cards are very basic at the beginning almost like Duel Monsters, and no one had seen Fusions before Yuo introduced them. Yuga's program changed everyone's cards into Rush Duel cards, so I imagine the characters wouldn't have been surprised by Fusions if they had already been a part of Master Duels. It's later revealed that Fusions were created by the Lukeman, an electronic lifeform. In short, the other summoning methods couldn't have existed before Sevens. The world also establishes that Goha Corporation invented dueling and shows them developing the technology to play duels. If this were to fit in to the timeline, it feels like it would have to be after a nearly word-ending event and humanity rebuilt itself. However, in the Goha museum, Kaiba's throwing Duel Disk and Jack Atlas's Duel Runner can be seen. It's hard to say if these Easter eggs are relics of the past or other concepts that Goha created and just happened to be similar. The technology of the Sevens world is also a step back from Vrains in some ways, such as having physical Duel Disks again instead of the projected Disks. Also, Yuhi and Yuamu are not related to Yuga (or at least the same Yuga from Sevens if there is a Yuga in their world). Episode 20 of Go Rush (which came out after this video) pretty much confirms that Go Rush takes place in an alternate dimension from Sevens. In this world, no one has seen the Sevens style Duel Disk that Yudias has, and Yuamu and Yuhi had never heard of Yuga's Sevens Road Magician when another mysterious character summons it.
In a flashback we see Romin get her Prima Gitarna and the card layout is still the same so cards always looked like that in the sevense universe... maybe after Goha took over they decided to change the layout?
Then again VRAINS was allegedly originally supposed to end with an apocalyptic event where Yusaku dies and humanity is either eradicated or almost eradicated So SeVeNs COULD fit if say the reminisces of humanity were to able repopulate and recreate duel monsters from scratch cutting out Ritual, Fusion Synchro, Xyz, and Link Summoning. As for why Pendulums didn't show up in VRAINS I theorized after Yuya defeated Genesis Omega Dragon it changed the timeline to the point Pendulum Summoning didn't even existed with Yuzu having the only card to ever exist in the form of Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon with it devolving into a regular effect monster.
About Fusion, is not true. Fusion already existed in Seven, just that it wasn’t compatible with Rush Duel. When Yuo used it, Gakuto commented Fusion as if he meant Polymerization which proves it exists and it also make sense since Goha Duel is Master Rule. Sevens also explained that the Fusion card contains the code that makes fusion possible in Rush Duel. This is why they didn’t explained Fusion card origin since they already existed in Goha Duel, but couldn’t be used in Rush Duel.
This was by far your best video yet and if this really is the end if your yugioh content (which I hope it isn't cause I want to see more of your GX rewrite) then you couldn't have ended it in a better way. You pulled of more hat tricks than Dark Magician, traveled further through space than HERO Neos, shined brighter than Stardust Dragon, created a better place than Utopia, were more entertaining than Odd-Eyes Pendelum Dragon, accessed more data than Firewall Dragon, and showed more skills then Seven Roads Magician! Congratulations!
One thing that I might add that you might've forgotten to mention is that nightmare from gx actually talks about numeron dragon. How the universe was made from one card. Also how the light and darkness come into play which is meant to represent Chaos. Idk felt that gx wasn't talked as much in the vid.
I saw this two years after this was uploaded. I love that this actually combines the anime and Manga entries of Yu-Gi-Oh into something understandable and actually enjoyable. Now I am curious if you could consider diving into the lore of Magic the Gathering, especially if one can find an in universe explanation for the Universes Beyond sets existing and how the characters are represented by the colors tied to them like how Gandalf of Lord of the Rings is Red, Blue, and White. Trust me, Magic's Color Pie and mythos is REALLY interesting for someone like you, SpellCommander.
36:40 I was gonna say exactly that too! This video has defo made me want to go back and rewatch Yugioh as a whole now. Awesome theory! Its a shame you're not going to make more but all good things must come to an end. Good luck with your future projects
Damn, it's a shame if this means no continuation of the GX Rewrite, but I'm glad you're putting your foot down and doing what you want. btw I LOVE how you gave a reason for Zorc and Zarc having the same name
This honestly fulfills one of the hardest asks of a cohesive timeline that LoZ hasn't be able to: It's actually easy to understand. Shame about the law stuff, I got back into yu gi oh as a result of a channel too, though this is the first video of yours I've seen. Was good though, way moreso than I expected, really makes me love my favorite YuGiOh anime Arc-V even more. Cool concept and nice job.
Thank you for making this video man. I'm a little late watching this after a year of it's release, but anyway, many of us who enjoyed the show and played irl are now pretty much grown up. I'm currently 19 and to be honest i don't care how old i am because Yu-Gi-Oh is a part of my childhood, it's basically a part of me and all the other people around the wolrd who truly loved the show as much as i did. It connected many and made out childhood overall more fun, so thank you for the video and a huge thanks to the creator, rip legend.
All of this is so interesting and honestly works so well except Go Rush has now been confirmed to be a intrequel where from the POVs of Yudias, Yuhi, and Yuamu they are on a world pre SEVENS, but from a character referred to as that guy he is on a world post SEVENS but having the Manga universe exist because of the Anime universe is so interesting but ironic since for the very first Yugioh anime to exist in our world the manga had to exist.
You hit the nail on the head with me. I never really cared much for the anime after 5D's. Arc V and Vrains caught my attention at times but that was mostly due to when I got back in the game or focused on the competitive scene or other changes. But videos like your, Dylan's and TGS Anime kept me interested in the shows, lore, and engaged when the try hard environment grew stale to me. So it will be sad seeing you step back for a while but I hope all is and does go well for you and when you come back I hope I get to see these kinds of deep dives into Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Mass Effect, Halo and more
Thank You so much for this video. I as millions other viewers and duelist from the original Yugioh i stopped watching after yugioh 5ds but finding my duel disk and decks made me comeback and relieve my childhood and catch up on what or where has yugioh been up to this point and made me realize im truly behind on everything but this video gave me a full understanding and willing to give the other seasons or mangas a chance. So definitely watching them again and the missing seasons to it. Thank you so much and shout out to all the fans throughout the world and to the 90's people. We truly did have the best of the best
The timeline that you have shown in this video is awesome and has renewed my interest in Yu-Gi-Oh (the anime and manga that is). So thank you. I have also shared this video to a couple of friends who are still into Yu-Gi-Oh and they both like this video.
This is….actually astounding. Great work! Also, I’d say that Beyblade is a very weird franchise in terms of timeline and what exactly the spirits within the toys themselves are. It would be interesting to see you tackle that series’ timeline. Not to mention, it has just been confirmed that soon, the 4th generation of Beyblade will begin. Of course, the OG Plastic Gen was the 1st, Metal Fight was the 2nd, and Burst was the 3rd. Not to mention Beywheelz and Beyraiderz creating a multiverse.
Beyblade is pretty straightforward in that each generation is its own continuity, since each gen is written by a different author and its been gone on record by them that each generation is self contained. That being said, let me explain the spirits and how they differ from each gen: -OG had the ancient fighting spirits the Bit Beasts, their origins unknown but found sealed away in rock, to which scientists have tried to study and understand these ancient beings, some even creating artificial bit beasts - Cyber Bit Beasts - for their own personal gain. You could establish a bond with them, similar in the same vain to Pokemon because of it’s heavy inspiration/influence at the time of Beyblade’s creation/inception, where if the spirit thought you were worthy, they would establish a bond with you. For example: Tyson’s Dragoon was bonded to his family sword, who soon bonded with Tyson and became part of his Beyblade, wielding it in beybattles. -Metal Saga has the constellations spirits where the origin of Beyblade came from the stars themselves, a meteor crashing down to Earth: the Star Fragment, which created the legendary beys Pegasus and L-Drago, thus the creation and foundation for Beyblade as a whole started here in this universe. With Bladers being able to awaken such power by taping into and unlocking their Beyblades potential. Kenta being an example by him unlocking the claws of his Sagittario. BeyWheelz and Warriors/Raiderz is a separate timeline, creating a completely different universe in the process that branched from the Metal Saga’s universe, where instead of tops, they were wheelz instead due to a strong divergence that happened sometime far before the events of the Metal series. -Burst doesn’t really have a name for its spirits(I am writing this before QuadStrike comes out so they have time to tell us) but their spirits and world are pretty grounded and based more on our own reality(while each gen’s Earth is quite like our own, Burst’s world is more realistic in that it follows more closely to the actual top game). We know nothing about their origins, instead know enough about what they’re capable of and what they can do and provide for their Blader/Partner. Resonance being the name of the strong mental and spiritual bond between blader and their spirit when they are in complete sync with one another. Dark Resonance is a corrupted state of this when the Blader’s negative emotions influence the bond, effectively causing this twisted bond causing the spirits to become more demonic in strength and power, causing both parties in a dark possessed like state of becoming one. Some examples of these happening are seen with Shu, Aiger, Phi and Hearts, to list a few. And then you have Flare, a fiery state of Resonance which gives a greater boost of power to the user than before. Lane from S5/Surge uniquely had to do deal with this state running wild till later the Hizashi brothers unlocked that same power to try and defeat him. Hope this helps!
Go take you q nice long break king, because it sounds like you need it. But don't give up on yugioh because we're not ready to let you go. I won't lie when I say I'm here just for the yugioh but yugioh has always been in my life for as long as I could remember. It got me through a very dark childhood to graduation and even after that. Hell you were the reason I was able to pass a lot of my college courses. Like that one video you made talking about how seto kaiba came up with synchro summoning and inner D, the science you showed me and everyone else, I did a ten pqge essay on the real world science behind it and how it could be brought to reality and with that I got one of the highest scores ever seen in my composition, history, and physical science classes at college, and that just one example of how not just yugioh but you too help the community that you create. Please, don't give up, take a break but don't give up because we need you
I really can't thank you enough for writing this. I read this right after coming out of therapy and immediately called my shrink back to say, "HOLY CRAP, I HAVE TO READ YOU THIS COMMENT!!!!" This has been my favorite videos of yours. I'm so glad to see the conclusion of the yugioh timeline explained. I enjoyed your yugioh videos the most, but your dragon ball timeline video was fantastic. So I guess timeline related stuff would be cool.
Man i found your channel just yesterday, an i can tell that you are one hell of a true Yu-Gi-Oh Fan)). Thank you for this amazing story, and for the effort you put on creating this video. Cheers and Tons of new subscribers.
Thank you for the great yugioh content, 2 suggestions that I think you might like to cover are “Fate” with its many many timelines, intriguing magic system and a plethora of stories to go along with it and “A Certain Magical Index” with other series of a similar title in the same universe which has really awesome lore and 2 power systems that I think are both scintillating personally. Whatever you do end up covering I at least know you’ll do a great job, good luck.
I stumbled upon this channel thanks to the video talking about why the protagonist of the last four series wasn't in Arc V. Despite only having watched that one and this, it sure was a fun time. Can't wait to see what other series you'll over analyze next!
Recap: Follow the Manga, it makes more sense and stays in one timeline. Although the anime timeline is more exciting, the manga just makes more sense. I like how you tied all of this together. 💯
amazing video, if you want something convoluted to jump into, Kingdom Hearts is the pinicle of barely connecting every piece to form a picture that still had missing pieces. And Kingdom Hearts has yet to have a good story explanation outside of literally let's plays and small lore tidbit videos on more specific topics than the entire series for people who want to get into the games without playing the games up to that point.
I definitely look forward to seeing you give your insight on other fictional worlds and I am sure it will be enjoyable seeing how dedicated you are to your work! On to a new great era cheers! 💜
Pretty great video and amazing timeline+theory, but some things should be clarified about ritual summoning in the anime specifically in Arc-V. Ritual summoning was used in both the standard and fusion dimension. Although when it was used by Alexis can be ignored because it was most likely taught to her by Yuya's father who isnt a normal resident of the dimension, the standard dimension does use ritual summoning and might even have a duel school for it specifically. Aura Sentia is the main practitioner of ritual summoning we see and it should be noted that the entire "school" is similar to a spiritual cult or following with a focus on things like divination. Although this is a great theory, it was strange to me that this side character in Arc-V was not mentioned or ritual summoning in Arc-V as a whole was not mentioned.
Thanks for the great Yugioh content during the years, sadly i just found your channel a few weeks ago, so kinda sad it ended so soom fore, but ill stay tuned to see what else you come up with next

I actually enjoyed this video far more than most content in this area , but if not, then I'll also unnderstand. I wish you good luck and good fortune on any and every future endeavours ! Peace be with you!
Maybe Zarc himself had a hand on the "Why we don't see the previous protagonists in their respective summoning dimensions"? Think about it. If there was really a Ritual dimension, the WEAKEST summoning method by FAR before VRAINS (and arguably still is), where do you want to put 4 extremely dangerous people for your resurrection (Yugi, Jaiden, Yusei and Yuuma)? In the dimensions where your nemesis put your soul fragments or this barren wasteland that will probably not advance THAT MUCH compared to the rest, with their more potent Summoning energies? Obviously you would want the Ritual Dimension, because there you will not get the problem of dealing with THE KING OF GAMES YUUGI MUTOU, THE KING OF GENTLE DARKNESS JAIDEN, THE TIME TRAVELLING SAVIOUR YUSEI MF FUDO or THE ALIEN CONQUISTADOR YUUMA TSUKUMO. But then you would also want the existence of this dimension to be hidden, since if everyone knew about it then they would make contact and bring those disasters with legs to your doorstep, and we know of a single one capable of rallying the rest to do so, Yusei. Yusei has already met Jaiden and Yugi, and meeting Yuuma wouldn't be out of the realm of his capabilities (Or so would think Zarc, considering that he probably doesn't know about the Crimson Dragon but absolutely freaking knew about Paradox, Aporia, Antinomy and Z-one), so you would have to fight your Archnemesis (which they would probably put together) alongside 4 extremely dangerous and capable legendary duelists... Yeah, no thank you. He probably made arrangements mid fission to avoid people to know about that dimension, and maybe even had a gateway there as a back-up plan, in the case that he failed, to recover and try again. As long as he could escape, he would've gone to the Ritual Dimension to regain his footing and try again, but didn't count on being reincarnated into a baby to purge his evilness.
Or, You know, with Yugi's heart of cards, and Yusei's signer powers to give him the right card (alwasy made more sense to me that Yusei had the crimson dragon to give him the right card. Seems more like a deity helping him than just pure luck), then no one could beat them. Zarc wouldn't stand a chance against them. They kind of had to remove them for "balance" sake Also, maybe this dragon that created the world.. Maybe it's spirit is the crimson dragon? And that's why it's protecting it?
@@LordCaim2821 The numeron and crimson dragons are really mysterious... It could be that the numeron dragon's spirit is the Crimson dragon or it could be another deity entirely...
I still believe his previous theory about that. Namely, that Ray, when splitting the dimensions, used her power to put the souls of the protagonists into the Zarc fragments to purify them.
1. After watching the first half of the video I feel that you forgot to reinforce the point that chaos energy was back in the world and is likely what zarc tapped into in order to fuse himself with his Dragons it also is likely what allowed him to communicate with his Dragons and that the presence of chaos energy also likely reinforces the point of the changes in the history of the divergent timelines (yes I am suggesting that chaos energy was primarily responsible) 2 the presence of non sealed chaos energy In the ritual dimension also likely allowed for the creation of the plana/dimension cube as that extra chaos energy didn't exist in the original timeline which then introduces agami and with this more present chaos energy also creates the changes in each of the mangas and likely creates G.O.D and whilst I do like the idea that it is Kiba causing the change in the timeline for the ritual dimension I think it is more interesting If the excess chaos energy created the chance of the manga and reveals Kibas change as likely being because he tapped into chaos energy without an item and it could even explain how he built a device to access the afterlife 3 also a ritual dimensions zarc fusion was likely impossible to be possible because of the presence of chaos being far more normal (plus also probably created the pendulum summon I'm the normal dimension)
Idk about it allowing him to contact his dragon's since DM, GX, 5Ds, and ZeXaL touched on the idea of humans having strong connections to their monster spirits that they're able to see and communicate with them. Starting with DM built on in GX and 5Ds and reintroduced in ZeXaL via Yuma and Astral's connections with the Numbers and monsters like Rainbow Kuriboh. It's possible Zarc is one of those special humans with the connections to duel spirits allowing him to speak to Odd-Eyes, Dark Rebellion, Clear Wing, and Starve Venom. Though usually cases like Yugi and Kaiba it involves their connection to the ancient past and the Millennium Items, for Jaden its his Supreme King powers, the Signers being their marks of the Crimson Dragon though Luna and Leo are the only ones capable of speaking to their monster spirits, though we got folks like Jesse, Fujiwara, and Chazz who don't possess any special abilities or items yet they're able to speak to their monster spirits.
Speaking of the Yu-Gi-Oh manga, it also has some other differences aside from Kaiba's disappearance in Battle City... Yami Bakura killed Pegasus after he set the people he trapped in cards free where as in the Anime, Yami Bakura merely KOed Pegasus and sent him to the hospital where he recovered and continued to live his life into the GX era where he made some appearances up until 5DS where it was implied where he passed away considering one of the World Racing Grand Prix sponsors is a memorial foundation named after him.
I think 5DS is set long after the natural deaths of everyone from Duel Monsters and probably even GX. Officer Trudge isn't literally the same guy who went to school with Yugi but a relative of him. Also tangent but I also think Leo and Luna are related to Esperoba (the kid Joey gets Jinzo from)
This is actually the first video of yours I've watched. Might be the last, I don't know, we'll see. Regardless, it was a great video and I totally agree with your assessment of the franchise. I actually always considered the manga to be a separate timeline but to think that it's a supposed "Ritual Dimension" makes a lot of sense when I think about it. To me, this is 100% the case and Konami should adopt it as the true canon and continuity of the series as a whole.
The original Yugioh manga is the original timeline. There is no Yugioh without it. Everything starting from the 1998 anime called Yugioh by Toei and then Gallop/Konami series/spinoffs starting with Duel Monsters are separate canon timelines.
Thanks for your insight on the world of Yugioh. I enjoy the TCG, but wasn't really a big story guy on it before seeing your videos. For another Franchise, I'd recommend Fate. It has literal decades of lore to go over and offers a wide variety of anime, manga, novels (light and visual) and games of different genres to dig through.
The only problem I have with the Sevens placement is that most of the cards used for rush duels are the standard cards and don't have a seperate card list. This means that the core game is only as far as fusion summons and a lot of the cards have really old stat blocks. Not only that but weak normal monsters are used like crazy too. All this leads me to believe that Sevens is actually in-between GX and 5Ds. Since the cards are so archaic, that means that a lot of the real world power creep progression hasn't happened yet. This means that Rush Duels will likely eventually phase out as cards advance and the balance of Rush Duels is ruined, leading to it not existing anymore. Not only that but the "Legend" cards are likely legendary due to their usage by the previous protagonists that used said cards. I'm also pretty sure there are no Legend cards from any later than the GX Era Archetypes. Edit: some confusion comes up because the show mentions "solid vision" and people assume that it started in Arc-V, that is a misconception. Solid Vision is the basis for all of Kaiba's hologram technology from the very beginning of the series. On the other hand, Arc-V introduces "Real Solid Vision". With other mentions of things just being a hologram, then technology-wise, Sevens must take place before Arc-V. Edit: after further deliberations, it would actually make sense that it was between 5Ds and Zexal, as Jack's runner is there and the official game would be nuked back to GXish Era from the Synchro Summoning controversies.
theres a couple brief cameos in sevens (eg in ep1) of xyz monsters from zexal and arc-v, plus a couple monsters from vrains (one of which mentions links in its text - armatos legio gladius) so if you take their random monster picks completely seriously then thatd suggest sevens does take place post-vrains!
@@spirare6121 that doesn't make any sense though. Since I'm pretty sure that you don't actually see the cards, they may just be like many other cards and just be similar versions that existed beforehand. Also, why wouldn't they use anything more advanced then fusion summoning when rush duels use literally all the cards from the main game. It must be that those aren't the actual cards we're used to. As an example, odd-eyes cat leads us to believe that this is post-ArcV. That is only the case if you think of it in the order that we became aware. Why couldn't odd-eyes cat be the original odd-eyes card? It would make sense since it is tied to an archetype based on the other eyed dragons. Not only that but even in the real world we have cards that don't get Archetypes for years.
Like you mentioned its a rush duel which is something new within the world of the anime so the game is fundamentally different, them not using those cards has no objective indication on its timeframe. Rush duels literally is within the anime a new way to play to simplify the mechanics which in turn could take out the more complicated components like syncros, xyz's, and links
This can easily be explained by Rush Duels in the timeframe within the anime being barely introduced at that time, maybe the Rush Duel in the universe of the anime itself is still in a more infant stage of itself in not allowing Syncros and xyzs like in real life when rush duels were first introduced irl . You have to remember within the universe the dueling simply is a card game that can have its mechanics changed to not allow specific cards, just like real life.
btw all of that could make more sense if Rush GO is set closely after Sevens if it introduces links xyz's and syncros in its dueling system because then that can mean they simply developed the Rush Duel mechanics in the card game within the anime to add those more complicated cards
I didn't realize that the shows were so connected. I honestly have never really liked any of the shows after the first series ended. I was always of the mind that Yugi's story was the real end and that everything else was just an attempt to profit on its greatness. This video changed my mind. While I feel that the mysticism of the first series is more enjoyable than the sci-fi aspects of the ones that followed, it makes a lot of sense when you put it into a timeline why the series would grow away from mysticism and into technology and science. I'm not about to go out and rewatch them all, but I hope you take come pride in the fact that you did just restore an OG fan from the first days of Yugioh to the fandom in some form or another. Thanks for doing this. You rekindled a childhood flame in me today.
Actually Kaiba survived the duel, moved on, but chose a different path, helping Yugi design new games, because they both agreed on that. The real change is Yugi finding a new purpose and Kaiba ending his salty runback in a refreshing way to not make heavy breakthroughs.
Thank you. A really great Video, even with the partial recycling of earlier Works. Also, glad to see you back, and i hope that the new Channel Trajectorie works out making you happy. I get the RL Reasons (Waifu Tax), but if anybody could come up with a satisfying In-Univers (In-Multivers?) Theory, i think it would be you. Again, great Video, and good to see you back
I have proof that Synchro once existed in the world of Zexal: Shark uses Underwater Snow Prison The artwork for Underwater Snow Prison has Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier on it. That means Trishula, which keep in mind is a synchro monster, also exists in the Zexal universe, or existed sometime in history, which means Synchro monsters also appeared sometime in Zexal's history.
God that’s so on brand for *Kaiba* to be the literal sole reason of making an entire new timeline.
Ong I was laughing when I realized Kaiba was the key to everything 💀 that is so fucking funny yet so fitting

Good thing is, Duel Links' lore confirms that Duel Links is an expantion of Vrains, so it's in fact official that "Vrains" and "Dark side of Dimensions" must be related.
Bad thing is, Duel Links' lore confirms that Zexal happens in a totally different timeline separated from the first 3 series, Arc-V dimensions are different from the previous series and YuGiOh Duel Monsters anime and manga are different timelines
I'm sure with the Duel Links' lore this theory can be refined into the final YuGiOh theory and a "official" timeline
i still wonder why in zexal yuma was aware of the dm ace monsters in episode 15 theres a part where you can see blue eyes, dm , dmg , and neos which proves that zexal is relevent to gx and dm and also i wonder why they don’t use fusions after gx

The re-contextualization that the Manga is it's own seperate dimension as a result of ARC-V gives us a perfect answer of "Where the protagonists are in ARC-V?"
They, too, were re-born in the manga timeline. Only one instance of Yugi, Jaden, Yusei, and Yuma ever existed - When history was re-written when Zarc was split up, the first four protagonists were separated from the ARC-V timeline, and were brought into the rebirth of the Standard dimension.
@@pokeymaster9415 I've always wondered about that. I actually think the duels weren't actually Master Duels and we're Goha Duel, something completely different.
@@pokeymaster9415 In the Sevens canon Goha invented the duels
Then again VRAINS was allegedly originally supposed to end with an apocalyptic event where Yusaku dies and humanity is either eradicated or almost eradicated
So SeVeNs COULD fit if say the reminisces of humanity were to able repopulate and recreate duel monsters from scratch cutting out Ritual, Fusion Synchro, Xyz, and Link Summoning.

This was so beautiful. Thank you for putting the time to get this together.
So it will be sad seeing you step back for a while but I hope all is and does go well for you and when you come back I hope I get to see these kinds of deep dives into Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Mass Effect, Halo and more
And with that time time echoes that Yu-Gi-Oh is the meaning of life time time. Great timeline.
Finally a full timeline thank you ❤️
I can't wait to see what you got for the 5th story of Yu-Gi-Oh GX rewritten. Other words, Great theory.
I love all the Yugioh Series, my personal favorite one tho would be zexal because of xyz monsters
My fave is always GOTTA be arc v the story was so good wish they kept the multiple dimension concept
The fact Kaiba time travelled at the end, he surely affected all these timelines.
He didn’t time-travel. He went into the afterlife.
I find it hilarious that Kiaba would literally destroy himself to play a children’s card game.
That being said, let me explain the spirits and how they differ from each gen:
-OG had the ancient fighting spirits the Bit Beasts, their origins unknown but found sealed away in rock, to which scientists have tried to study and understand these ancient beings, some even creating artificial bit beasts - Cyber Bit Beasts - for their own personal gain.
@ItsInterixit is
Go take you q nice long break king, because it sounds like you need it.
I read this right after coming out of therapy and immediately called my shrink back to say, "HOLY CRAP, I HAVE TO READ YOU THIS COMMENT!!!!" It means so much to hear. Purely out of curiosity, I'd love to read your term paper if you still have it. Feel free to email it to me. SpellCommander91@gmail.com.
This has been my favorite videos of yours.
This is the best theory timeline I've heard and I totally agree with you - thus has filled some plot hole theories I had rattling around in my head
He dit it by God he did it. He somehow explained the timeline without losing me. 👏
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
AN UPLOAD!!!!
THIS IS WHAT WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR, THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT BABY, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
I have seen someone try to put the manga into these timelines and I have to say that this is now the timeline I believe in.
Same here
This is one of the greatest Yu-Gi-Oh videos I've ever seen, fantastic work!
Thanks for the great Yugioh content during the years, sadly i just found your channel a few weeks ago, so kinda sad it ended so soom fore, but ill stay tuned to see what else you come up with next
This video was absolutely AMAZING!!! Dylan at YGO Everything was promising us a timeline video for ages and he has always failed to deliver and stringing us along, regardless of him moving house or how busy he was, you were busy also but still managed to put out this Masterpiece!!! Thank you for everything!!!
You beat Dylan. (Rest in Peace Kazuki. You brought an amazing series to this world.)
Bro I watched your sacred beast vid and then this, and as soon as I hit the end of your timeline bit, INSTANT SUB.
(Also, Zelda please. Massive BOTW/TOTK fan here who would love to see more people voraciously overanalysing the franchise)
this was my first video from you and it was great until the end... shit threw me for more of an emotional loop than puberty lol I will say I hope somehow someway you can find the time to still continue your YGO videos simply for not letting all of your growth and accomplishments over the years go down because of corporate greed.
They kind of had to remove them for "balance" sake
Also, maybe this dragon that created the world..
@@ΑΡΙΣΤΟΤΕΛΗΣΛΑΧΑΝΟΠΟΥΛΟΣ I can also believe that, I'm just trying to give more ideas to the theory of this video.
@@ΑΡΙΣΤΟΤΕΛΗΣΛΑΧΑΝΟΠΟΥΛΟΣ didn't hear this theory. This is my first video of his.
But hey, that would explain why they are good duelists, I guess.
1. After watching the first half of the video I feel that you forgot to reinforce the point that chaos energy was back in the world and is likely what zarc tapped into in order to fuse himself with his Dragons it also is likely what allowed him to communicate with his Dragons and that the presence of chaos energy also likely reinforces the point of the changes in the history of the divergent timelines (yes I am suggesting that chaos energy was primarily responsible)
2 the presence of non sealed chaos energy In the ritual dimension also likely allowed for the creation of the plana/dimension cube as that extra chaos energy didn't exist in the original timeline which then introduces agami and with this more present chaos energy also creates the changes in each of the mangas and likely creates G.O.D and whilst I do like the idea that it is Kiba causing the change in the timeline for the ritual dimension I think it is more interesting If the excess chaos energy created the chance of the manga and reveals Kibas change as likely being because he tapped into chaos energy without an item and it could even explain how he built a device to access the afterlife
3 also a ritual dimensions zarc fusion was likely impossible to be possible because of the presence of chaos being far more normal (plus also probably created the pendulum summon I'm the normal dimension)
Also tangent but I also think Leo and Luna are related to Esperoba (the kid Joey gets Jinzo from)
Kazuki Takahashi drew art of Kaiba and Yugi playing Yugi’s new game which proves Kaiba came back
People like you inspire me to do TH-cam, thankyou🙏thankyou for the most amazing video on my favorite show❤️🔥
I appreciate this video and the effort you put into this channel. Keep up the awesome work!
Thank you for all your hard work. And the explanation of the yugioh time line. I really appreciate it.
I also think this explains why we are getting all the main characters decks in rush duel format. Because they exist in the same dimension.
That one bloke who works at the head company is watching this thinking "Finally they figured it out!"
My man really did his research. I tip my hat to you
The only problem I have with the Sevens placement is that most of the cards used for rush duels are the standard cards and don't have a seperate card list.
Edit: after further deliberations, it would actually make sense that it was between 5Ds and Zexal, as Jack's runner is there and the official game would be nuked back to GXish Era from the Synchro Summoning controversies.
theres a couple brief cameos in sevens (eg in ep1) of xyz monsters from zexal and arc-v, plus a couple monsters from vrains (one of which mentions links in its text - armatos legio gladius)
so if you take their random monster picks completely seriously then thatd suggest sevens does take place post-vrains!
This video really does make me want to watch and read the series. Thanks for your hard work
Dude gained my respect for literally recapping the whole yugioh franchise and also giving us the details that we miss or just we didn't watch
Actually Kaiba survived the duel, moved on, but chose a different path, helping Yugi design new games, because they both agreed on that. The real change is Yugi finding a new purpose and Kaiba ending his salty runback in a refreshing way to not make heavy breakthroughs.
The epilogue of dsod right?

There's art by takashi for that aswell
Thank you. A really great Video, even with the partial recycling of earlier Works. Also, glad to see you back, and i
hope that the new Channel Trajectorie works out making you happy. Having said that however,
while in the 5Ds part a Question popped into my Head, and my obssesive Personalitytraits would bug me to no end
until i propose it as a possible future Theory Video here, so here it is:
Why are most if not all females in the Yugioh Franchise cute as Heck, if not certified Bombshell Babes alltogether?
I get the RL Reasons (Waifu Tax), but if anybody could come up with a satisfying In-Univers (In-Multivers?) Theory, i think it would be you. Again, great Video, and good to see you back
Great video ❤❤
I have proof that Synchro once existed in the world of Zexal:
Shark uses Underwater Snow Prison
The artwork for Underwater Snow Prison has Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier on it.
That means Trishula, which keep in mind is a synchro monster, also exists in the Zexal universe, or existed sometime in history, which means Synchro monsters also appeared sometime in Zexal's history.
