Halo 4 is a 2012 first-person shooter video game developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox 360 video game console. The fourth mainline instalment and seventh overall in the Halo franchise
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a compilation of first-person shooter video games in the Halo series, originally released in November 2014 for the Xbox One, and later on Microsoft Windows through 2019 and 2020. The enhanced version was released for the Xbox Series X|S in November 2020

Something they dont show here is that Linda and John have a sort of affinity for each other... Fall of Reach and First Strike mention it. Which you get to see in Halo 5 towards the end.
Fun fact: The Spartan Program was initially a clandestine initiative to shut down the Insurrection of outer and inner colonies, not an anti Covenant program. Just good timing to have a handful of super soldiers.

It is so interesting to see the transition from how threatening the Covenant is in this and how the Infinity just destroys things in Spartan Ops haha!

ONI was like "Why mourn the loss of your child immediately when you can do it in a few years at the latest?"
Well, suddenly having your child go missing would make you hold out hope that they are alive, and even try to search for them. Killing them instantly would raise too many questions, so setting them up to die slowly overtime would allow the parents to have some level of closure.

Jorge of the Noble team was the child in the begining. The red team that Kelly and Linda mention is the group of spartans that appear in Halo Wars🤗✨

@@GamerJoobChannel Halo wars 2 is perfect for that since they do have their own personalities and dialogue between themselves unlike the first halo wars were they are just portrayed as generic spartans more than characters also halo wars 2 codex contains their backstories.

Halo lore: When doctor Halsey said this was The Orion 2 program AKA Spartan 2 program that would mean there was a project 1. Also, you got to meet one member of that Project. And that was Sgt. Avery Johnson.

@Holo Lives Matter He was to a certain degree he was better than normal troops. But lots of the orion/spartan 1 program did not live that long. It was a failure. Many died due to a neurological issue where the brain nerves didnt connect right. As far as i know johnson was the only survior. But thanks to this, the flood could not turn him. Also the flood when trying to turn him left some dna in him so he was able to develop a health regen.
@@darkinuyasha2006 Johnson was one of the only members to stay in the military, but a lot of them survived afterward.
By 2552, there were just over 30+ Spartan-II's left. After the Battle of Reach, there were somewhere between 10 - 20. The number was constantly fluctuating due to retcons. Bungie and 343 had a tendency to make new Spartan-II's as they needed. At this point the total number probably exceed's the original 75 figure. Originally, John was the only survivor aside from a comatose Linda. Then they revealed that Fred, Kelly, and a few others had survived on Reach until they were rescued. And there were other teams, like Grey Team and Black Team, who survived because they weren't on Reach. Red Team survived because they went missing along with the Spirit of Fire in 2531, but are currently alive as of 2559 on the Ark. Black Team died shortly after Halo 4, killed by the Didact on Installation 03. Grey Team has been dark for years and their status is still unknown. The other Spartan-II's that survived Reach alongside Kelly and Fred died before the end of the war in 2553. Naomi, another Spartan-II who was split-off from the rest of the Spartan's prior to Reach, is also still alive. Jorge was the only Spartan-II on Noble Team and he was a transfer, the rest were Spartan-III's. Jun ultimately is the only surviving member of Noble Team and is currently both a recruiter and trainer of the Spartan-IV's. It should also be mentioned that quite a few Spartan-III's survived the Battle of Onyx and continue to serve alongside the remaining II's and the newly minted IV's.
Bonus: In case you hadn't figured it out yet, Dr. Halsey is Miranda Keyes' mother. This is how her and Jacob Keyes met. It's stated in the novels that when Halsey learned of Miranda's death during the Battle of Installation 00 she was devastated and cried in her cell.

Quick note, Team names are not exclusive, for example, there's the Red Team that was detached and assigned to the Spirit of Fire, but the crew of Spartans sent down to defend the ground generators for the orbital canons at Reach, were also operating at that time under the name Red Team, which consisted of all Spartans destined for operation Red Flag, minus John, Linda, and James, who took on an asset denial mission at the same time (Destroy a nav database that was not deleted when the covenant entered the Epsilon Eridani System) while operating as Blue Team. Linda has also been known to command Green team, like on Sigma Octanus IV, though before his staged death and reassignment, Green Team was commanded by Kurt, and often beat John's Blue Team in training exercises.
Basically the teams are mission specific
Fun fact, one spartan's father had an intuition that his daughter was replaced. Mortal dictata and thursday war are great books that contain this

I had the awesome opportunity to be a part of this movie when I was 11, being the voice you hear singing those elegant (for lack of a better word) high notes during sam's death. I was too young to really get the impact of that scene though, and now, rewatching it today, it broke me.

During the Covenant War, John's squad Blue Team, along with Kelly, Fred, and Linda had the highest collective covenant kill count and the highest amount of successful combat missions of any other fireteam in the UNSC to date, a campaign spanning 27 years.
They really did become the best.

I know that people feel mixed on 343 Halo stuff! but I do think they tell interesting and emotionally charged narratives! at least thus far!
4 and this have definitely brought a ton of emotion! and although I dont agree or love every choice I do like that they have brought their own flare to it if that makes sense!
@@GamerJoobChannel of course my first ever halo game was halo 2 and me like a lot of other people prefer bungies halo games, the 343 games were meh in my opinion there were some great moments, the movies (forward unto dawn and the fall of reach) were also great moments im just glad infinite will be returning to a more classic halo
@@GamerJoobChannel to be fair this movie is based off a book that was made during the Bungie Era. Therefore Bungie allowed a great story to be written. Now 343 has in fact made a good adaption though.

There are 4 teams of Spartans. Blue, red, gold, and green. Jeorge was part of red team. As war progressed on Reach he later joined Noble Team. Jeorge is the only Spartan-2 among Noble Team, the rest are Spartan-3.
Fun Fact: During that time, a single Mjolnir armor costs almost the same as a single UNSC destroyer

Keyes was with Halsey when they met John for the first time at Eridanus (3:47). Keyes and Halsey were kind of a couple. So Halsey is the mother of Miranda Keyes (from Halo 2 and 3), but Halsey wasen't close to her daughter. All of that is why Miranda looks similar to Cortana (Cortana model is based in young Halsey).

I have finally caught up with all of your videos! haha. The novel "Contact Harvest" tells the story of first contact with the Covenant which happens on that planet. It largely follows from the perspective off Johnson who was on the planet at the time when the Covies showed up. There's also some Covenant side storytelling in the novel too.

In case you're wondering, there are about 15+ alive Spartan 2's as of Halo Infinite.
Blue Team which consists of Master Chief (John), Kelly, Linda and Fred.
Red Team with Jerome, Alice and Douglas.
Gray team with Jai, Adriana and Michael.
Omega team with Leon, August and Robert.
Maria recently retired (She was the one who tested the new Mark 6 armor that went to Master Chief in the beginning of Halo 2.
Naomi is still alive somewhere doing Oni missions.
And then there is Riz and Vannak who are gonna be in the Halo tv show who's fates are unknown right now.
Also you seemed confused when Keyes said he met John before. He was the one with Halsey in the beginning when John was on the playground. He and Halsey were lovers, but kept it secret

The reference to the grain elevator at Harvest when searching for signals was a nice nod to the novel Contact Harvest, which details the opening of the war with the covenant. Two characters are Mack and Sif, AIs who run the agricultural equipment and the space elevator to ship out grains, respectively. There's no signal from the grain elevator because the station at the end (where Sif "lived") was shot down by Mack (with a mass driver) on purpose to prevent the covenant from getting at her systems and discovering all the shipping lanes and therefore the locations of other colonies, and even earth

Oh so many things to say...
1) Miranda Keyes' mother is actually Dr. Halsey (explained in one of the books). IDK if someone mentioned that in an earlier video but thought I'd say it. And it's ironic that Halsey says at the beginning, "you are a father trying to get your daughter into a good school." Shortly after that they hook up, but split pretty quickly thereafter, Keyes taking Miranda since Halsey would be too busy to care for her.
2) This movie is decent, but the book itself is WAY better. The "Reach" game gives the finger to "The Fall of Reach", "First Strike", and "Ghosts of Onyx", which really ticked me off and why I hated the game story.
3) If I remember right, Osman (The woman from Spartan Ops that ordered Halsey's execution) was one of the Spartans that couldn't fight anymore. She had to have multiple surgeries to fix some of the damage. But still could only hold an office position.
I seriously could keep going. The books are full of rich lore, but this is a gaming channel, the books are irrelevant in this case.
I did know about Dr Halsey being the mother of Keyes! which is very cool!

I love the early history set here between chief and keys along with a lot of the other small but important cameos
I think its so heart wrenching, the way John sounds when he asks if they'll follow him. Its a brief moment where we get to see both his will to lead his team, and the vulnerability of being unsure of the future. Almost like he was asking if they would still trust him.
If you enjoyed this, you’d definitely enjoy the audio book of The Fall of Reach. This movie is pretty much just a shortened version of the first half of the book, with a lot of their pre-augmentation training cut out of the movie for time. Don’t feel obligated to make a whole video on the book, but I genenuinely think you’d just find it a fun read/listen given you liked the emotional and thematic tone of the film.
I definitely will eventually check it out for sure!

Yeah it really does seem like they cut out a lot of the humanizing of the Spartans in the beginning. I almost always prefer books to their film adaptations just for reasons like this, but this is still a good watch.
@@cacklingpikeman4303 I think they did it actually quite well, especially coz it’s children like everyone understands children are children and are their own beings, maybe at the start when they kidnapped them it could’ve been more sentimental when they took them but I felt like their deaths were depicted well, we understand that the loss was for the greater good and yes it is sad but it was needed

Wow, I love this movie. 💙 If there's one thing I can give 343 credit for, it's creating emotional and touching stories that really hit you where it hurts. 😢 I haven't agreed with everything 343 has done with the Halo series since they took over, but I've appreciated their commitment to expand the Halo lore and the universe as a whole. Although, that's the main problem people have with Halo 5. The main criticism with the Campaign was that it took a lot of research and media (Novels, Shows, etc) outside of the game to understand the story portrayed. I, personally, had a few issues with the game. But overall, the game is good and many things, such as the gameplay, are improved from Halo 4. I don't mean to try and draw you away from the game, of course. By all means, it's definitely worth the play! I still very much enjoyed the game, and I think you will too, Jade! I can't wait to watch your playthrough of it! 😊
Now, onto the movie.
The story of this movie is actually based off of roughly the first half of the novel "Halo: The Fall of Reach", which was released months before the first Halo game, Combat Evolved. I really loved the direction they took John in with portraying him. From the moment we first see him at the school, to the end with him and Blue Team mourning Sam, it felt like Master Chief 100%. 343 really knows his character well, and I'm glad they stayed true to his portrayal in the novel.
A few points of interest I'd like to mention:
28:26 John's first time losing people whom he cared for. This theme is shown in the rest of the Halo series as well. (Keyes, Miranda, Johnson, and Cortana)
31:45 Their original intention was to have John fight the ODST's for a test of strength. Not knowing the true nature and scale of the augmentations, the ODST's were killed by John. Although an accident, the ONI and the UNSC played it off as part of the plan.
40:21 My man KEYES! 😂 Yes, John did indeed met before. He was the man with Halsey when they were searching for children to abduct for the Spartan II program.
42:44 The quote by the Prophet here is repeated multiple times throughout the series. Once by an Elite in a promo for Halo: Combat Evolved. And again by the Prophet of Truth on the second mission of Halo 3.
44:19 Although, not important, I must mention that Captain Wallace definitely gives me Del Rio vibes, and that's not a good thing. 😂
49:32 Project Mjolnir was the first Spartan armor project, lacking many of the features in the later generations, such as Energy Shields. (Ultimately why Sam took such a hard hit in the ending)
50:24 That was my EXACT reaction to that seen! 😂 It get's me every time.
51:26 You asked if they would have to make suits each time the Spartans grew. Actually, it's not required. The Gel Layer in the Spartan suits actually adjusts the fit of the armor as the wearer moves and grows. Something I always found really cool.
54:15 The quote here by Kelly and Chief is the same quote we hear from Cortana and Chief during Halo 2, when he's leaving the Cairo Station with the Covenant bomb on the first mission.
55:33 The first interaction with the Covenant was so cool to see. It was interesting to see them with so little knowledge as to what they were facing. It's so weird for us, as we've experienced the Covenant for the entire series. Definitely one of my favorite moments in the movie.
56:54 NO! NOT THE GRUNT! 😢😭
58:32 The reason Sam wasn't able to leave was because Bio Foam was only purposed to seal wounds, and it couldn't be used in space. The reason he was wounded so badly was because the Spartans didn't have energy shields at the time, so they couldn't sustain blasts from Plasma weapons.
1:01:08 Kelly's quote here is a reference to Chief's quote at the end of Halo: Combat Evolved
Sam's sacrifice also play's into the theme of John's fear of losing people. It was always his biggest fear as a leader, and it's shown throughout the Halo series. He had lost Keyes, Miranda, Johnson, and Cortana since then, so you can imagine how much it haunts him. Watching this after experiencing Halo 4 just makes everything so much more emotional, since the loss of Cortana. It's something that it seems he can't escape from, no matter what he does. I think 343 definitely handled this well.

its so cool that the Spartans were taught Sun Tzu, for those that don't know Sun Tzu wrote books on the "Art of War" in fact he is notorious for it. even today various countries use his tactics even though Sun Tzu died ages ago in China.
interesting fact all Spartans originally wore khaki green MJOLNIR armour but later on as the war went on their armour was upgraded and some of them changed the colour. Spartan 3 were different in that from the beginning all armour had different colours.

Facts and trivia:
Sam 034 was the tallest spartan II (7.4 feet). He was also the strongest at the time. (for pulling the mass)
Kelly 087 is the fastest human in the Halo universe (normal running speed 65kmp (40mph), sprint speed unknown. (fastest John was sprinting was 105kmp (65mph) and he ripped his Achilles tendon) She also has the quickest reflexes and responce time of all spartans.
Linda 058 is the best sniper, landing most of her shots on targets (it was recorded that she sniped and killed seven elites in their banshees while hanging from a cable upside down, aiming with just one arm)
Fred 104 is the jack of all trades. He's the second best in all things, prefers combat knife. John 117 remarked that maybe Fred was holding back all the time, and just didn't want to beat John. He also holds the highest rank of all the spartans (Lieutenant, junior grade), leading blue team in John's absence. He mostly defers leadership to John when together.
You won't hear this in Halo 5. Glad you met the family Jade. Sorry for the long post. Your snezees are so damn euphonious.

Also, a few things I forgot to mention in my previous post.
Spartan II's were separated into different teams during training and deployment, as seen in the movie. There's Blue Team, Red Team, Gray Team, Gold Team, Team Black (ONI Specialists), and Team Omega. (There may be a couple I'm forgetting, but those are the most notable) A few splinter teams were also formed for different operations, consisting of members from different teams combined. (Also, most Spartans didn't get their own A.I. John was an exception, as well as Red Team)
Red Team and Team Omega are featured in the Halo Wars series, with Red Team being the main protagonists in both games. Team Omega appears in the fifth mission of Halo Wars and as DLC in Halo Wars 2. The other teams are featured in the Halo Novels, such as Halo: Escalation. Most of these Spartan II's actually went on to help train Spartans for the Spartan IV program. Jun from Noble Team also helped recruit Spartan IV's, such as Romeo from Halo 3: ODST. (And someone else you'll see returning in Halo 5 😊)
Currently in the Halo timeline, only 14 Spartan II's remain in active deployment, including Blue Team, Red Team, and Gray Team. Team Omega may also be active, although there status is unknown. (Also, you may or may not being seeing more of Blue Team soon! 😊)
Also, the novel "Contact: Harvest" tells of the first official encounter with the Covenant on the planet Harvest, which was seen in the movie. It's actually told from the prospective of Johnson himself, who was a Staff Sergeant at the time. It's definitely worth the read if you're interested!
I hoped this helped clear some things up! I'm glad you're invested into the Halo franchise and dedicated to learning more! There's a lot of external media out there, which mainly consists of novels. A personal review of the novels would be interesting to see! And if you're interested in lore, the channel "HiddenXperia" has a ton of Halo lore videos on pretty much anything you can think of. From the history of the universe, to the Covenant species', Flood, Forerunners, technology, vehicles, weapons, etc. Luc's also just an ICONIC person. 😂

So glad you reacted to this! It's a bit of shame just how many differences there are between this series and the Fall of Reach book though.
Possibly the biggest one is Halsey playing heads or tails with John. In the book, instead of just correctly guessing which side the coin lands five times, John instead grabs the coin himself before Halsey can catch it, stopping it early. He then tells her which side of the coin is facing up, and Halsey is impressed. Why? Because John makes his own luck.
Yeah another tear jerker 🥲 That last part bridges into the start of Halo 5. All them together in the end there was after the events of Halo 4

There's two red teams the red team in Halo wars is made up of Spartan II's who originally had been crippled by the augmentation process but they went and basically had things done and could wear their armor

The workout room odst fight didn't go down like that. In the book one or two survived, and it was all less than 5 seconds. One punch crushed the skull of the first target, a kick crushed the ribcage and punctured the lungs of another, then he smacked another with the weight bar so hard it bent. Halsey wasn't all too excited about the "test" it was the idea of the Office of Naval Intelligence.
Ohhh so it is different in the book I see!
It was a "test fire" of their new weapon... just to get across how twisted section 3 is. And how Halsey is really the only influence he had that encouraged him to think for himself instead of just doing everything he was told..

It was very cool!
There was also another team called Gray team which worked for long periods of time far behind enemy lines and going without any communications with the UNSC for months, even years sometimes sabotaging/killing as much covenant as they could.
Halo is full of great stories that make you really connect with the characters. Can you imagine encountering aliens for the first time and firing our baddest nuke at it just for it to not even penetrate their ships shield? Scary stuff. You’d have to feel pretty powerless at that point.
Recently read the book, had me flipping through the pages like a mad man. Such a good story!

For one the book continues into the actual defense of Reach, Chief meeting Cortana, and some stuff that contradicts stuff from the game, since it was written before the game.
It also conveys two really important differences about John as far as I know: at the beginning with the coin toss, and when the ODSTs show up.
I’ve heard the book is really good, and if you’re considering taking the time to read it, then by all means, go right ahead, it’ll probably pique your interest in the other Halo books, like New Blood, which covers Buck’s story entering the SPARTAN IV program.
The book has a vast amount of detail excluded from the movie (for the sake of making easier and shorter to watch). I would recommend it, and if you can, pick up the recent re-release as it has some extras added. A favorite thing of mine in the book is that John is actually told to fight the ODSTs in a boxing match. That's why he is confused as if it was a test since it was a direct order.
Side Note: This movie is basically one act of a 6 to 7 act book. It dives into the actual fall of reach, the invasion of the Covenant, as well as Cortana, and how they end up on the Halo ring.
There were different Spartan 2's teams and some of them are still active, as far as I know this are the known teams: Blue Team, Red Team, Team Omega, Grey Team, Black Team, Green Team and Gold Team. I don't know wich team Jorge was part of, but eventually during the course of war he would stay on Reach and join Spartan 3 Noble Team

Jorge wasn't apart of any team, he isn't in any of the Halo Novels. None of Noble team is, he isn't even actually in The Fall of Reach either. They added him as a nice little Easter egg, but none of Noble Team actually exist in the novels. And with how Halo Reach the game creates too many plot holes from the novels, some people consider Halo Reach non-canon.

*Fun Fact* (gunnery) Sgt. Avery Johnson was a Spartan I and they basically used mini mech suits as well as performer enhancing drugs and the reason he was able to resist "the parasite" was due to HIGH levels of plasma radiation. And by the time of Halo 3 he was actually 70yrs old but appeared 40.

By the time the Spartans got their armor, they were all almost fully grown. The undersuit has the capability to stretch and deform to accommodate any growth. The only thing that would need to be changed would be some of the armor plates.

Dunno if anyone has said anything about it and if so I am sorry. The coin that Halsey gives to John at his first screening is still on his person in Halo 3 when he is trying to get Cortana back. There is a flash back (audio, I believe) that Cortana mentions involving a coin.
Currently reading the Fall of Reach book, but I have seen this before, it mostly follows the same story. Its a nice visualisation though. I would love more of the books to get films like this made

It's amazing how much shit Jorge got when he was a trainee, only to become one of the largest Spartan II's as well as one of the highest ranking candidates besides Kurt-051. (Without armour John was 6ft 10 and Jorge was 7ft 4).
This means he was higher in rank than John-117. Honestly I would love to see his story outlying Jorge's story as to how he joined Noble team as well as what achievements got him to this rank. Considering how he sacrificed himself by detonating a nuke to destroy the covenants foothold on Reach, thinking how he saved the planet (despite this being in vain), I would like to see what actions he did before the invasion of Reach.
Also Key's was the officer with Halsey in the beginning when she scouted John as a candidate!
Two things
1 If you wanna play Halo 5 Guardians you need to see Nightfall mini series, is a live action and is very good (and necessary for the main character understanding)
2 If you want to see the ugly part of Halo, there is a mini audio series in-universe called Hunt the Truth, where a journalist has to investigate Master Chief for a job and is soooo good, pretty immersive.
I have heard and plan on at least watching Nightfall for myself 😊

Yeah, that's Jorge-052, he was the only Spartan II on the Noble Team, that is why he was bigger than the rest of the Noble members (they were Spartan III), but Jorge still one of the tallests Spartans II.

It was really good! I really thought this and 4 did a great job at humanising the characters and giving it all a lot more emotion!
In the books, all of the Spartans that trained with John recieved the same type of armor he did, I'm not sure why the creators of this showed the rest of blue team wearing later armor. Probably the same reason that they're holding battle rifles of the later design than the earlier ones
Probably an artistic choice to differentiate the Spartans for mainstream audiences. They most definitely got their armor specialisations late into the war.
Now this will be interesting. I've always felt really impartial and disconnected from fall of reach ( not the book). Also, fun fact, 30:00 John actually killed those ODSTs, but it was orchestrated by ONI to test the capabilities of the spartan

The second MAC round actually penetrated the shielding. The MAC's have a very high kinetic energy since they are lobbed by a huge coil gun, instead of a powder based projectile. Coil gun, not a rail gun, there's a difference. that even energy shields will have a hard time blocking it. The 1st shot weakened the shields, not giving it enough time to recharge while the second one punched right thru.

I think this would be a point to talk about whether or not you're going to play the two 'Halo Wars' games because the first one takes narrative place many years before any of the mainline titles, and would be a good vertical slice into the early Covenant War... but 'Halo Wars 2' is the actual jumping off point for 'Halo Infinite' (weird, I know) - and is necessary to understand the new baddies
'Halo Wars' is a top-down / tower-defense game series with godly cutscenes, very much different than what you've been playing thus far - but I think you're well suited just based on how you approach your playthroughs, Jade 👌🏻✌🏻🤟🏻

If I recall correctly, in the book John was told by a supperior to fight these guys/settle it with them in the ring, he followed those orders, not knowing his own new strength, nor did that supperior.
And Keyes was actually the guy in the first scene who goes to Johns school with Halsey.

They were separated from the other spartan candidates during the early days of training since they had tried to escape multiple times, eventually halsey and Mendez separated them and formed them into Gray team tuning their training to emphasize independence, stealth, and recon deep outside of unsc space. If you're familiar with halo reach everyone on Noble team execpt Jorge were Spartan IIIs. If you want to know more about the spartan III program I highly recommend reading Halo:Ghosts of Onyx witch in my personal opinion is the single best halo book out there. It explores the S3 program along with explaining why you Don't see blue team in halo 2 or 3. But be prepared its also a very sad book as well.
Fun fact: the suits that Blue team are wearing while they were sent to assassinate the Insurrection Colonel is supposed to be a flexible, bullet-resistant body armor.
Edit: The UNSC actually did pretty well against the Covenant on the ground. The Covenant just pretty much owned Space. The first UNSC spaceships that were equipped with energy shielding appeared after the war ended.
this movie took place way before halo reach halo ce 2 3 4 and 5 this is when they first encounter the Covenant

In the book Fred and Linda only really helped out in the mission where they captured the rebel leader it was just Sam Kelly and john (in fact Kelly is the closest person to chief on blue team since they were the ogs)that were the main people of blue team Fred and Linda became a big part a bit latter (also this is not the first time that you have seen Fred and Kelly they were also in Halo legends)

I don't know if it's ever confirmed in universe, but I'm almost 90% positive that Sergeant Johnson was part of the original Spartan 1 program. There are quite a few hints that point towards Johnson being a Spartan 1. Spartan 1's being similar to how Spartan 4's came about, having soldier that were the best in their field to be augmented for battle. Spartan 1's were (if I'm remembering correctly) either slightly augmented or not augmented at all, however the symptoms of the program is similar to the symptoms of a disease caused by exposure to malfunctioning plasma grenades.
The Fall of Reach was an awesome book and this movie is super too! I'm happy you're watching this 😊

If I don't heard the names Jerome, Alice and Douglas I'm gonna be quite sad they're the spartans in halo wars 2 and they served alongside chief back in the day they're almost as iconic as him in my eyes. I wish there was more connecting easter eggs between halo wars and mainline halo with the banished coming in infinite I'm hoping there will be more so in that game. They were there in the fall of reach according to other pore so I hope to see or hear about them in this. Guess it's just focusing on blue team but they threw Jorge in there as a reach reference because everyone loves reach and not as many people played halo wars. Okay so in their first pelican trip to fight the covenant, one of the team says "I'm just saying you could have volunteered red team instead" red team being the spartans from halo wars so that's a nice little reference

In the book, the fight between Chief and those ODST's is much more gruesome.
Chief caves in the skull of one with a single punch, knees another in the groin (and someone did the science, the guy got hit in the cojonés with around 8 tons of force) and pretty much destroys his torso, and to the last one, left him paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of his life.

That scene in the gym is the reason why Spartans and ODSTs have not exactly a hatred but a mutual dislike and distrust of each other and they talk shit about each other, the ODSTs like to think they're the best of the best and basically have a bit of a god complex but even they can see how much Chief did after the events of Halo 3
