Standing in the middle, I could not see either teams bases. It had flyable Longsword fighters with nukes. It also had a vehicle called a tachikoma which looked like a combination between a toilet and a crab, which I later found out was from some obscure animé. There were also some fighter jets and flyable Pelican drop ships with wing mounted rocket pods. The coolest thing about the map was the “light switch”, an invisible target outside of the map boundary that could be reached by flying over a low spot in the perimeter mountain wall in a Longsword and dropping a nuke. It was a bit of tight spot, so dropping the nuke meant blowing up the Longsword and killing yourself. I almost forgot the warthog teleports and the Scorpion tanks that actually looked like giant robotic scorpions. I loved that map.

I always liked the bit how they "upgraded" the covenant plasma weapons from the slow clunky blobs to a sustained beam. Would be cool to see future iterations of halo lore/content with UNSC ships firing plasma beam weapons
If there was one thing in the lore the humans had a technological edge over the Covies it was that Human Smart AIs were fortunately superior to Covenant ones who apparently their AI tech was rather in its infancy and derived from humans
It's honestly a shame the covenant ai plot thread never got expanded. My theory is that it is a heavily corrupted fragment of the part of mendicant bias inside the keyship on high charity, a different forerunner ai found on ruins similar to little bit or some random long discarded monitor semi rampant and unstable, or finally a non military human ai that survived the cole protocol heavily damaged by the process but the personality core surviving without the memory of its former self only left with the knowledge that it was abandoned by humanity and driven by the hatred and wanting some sort of revenge
One thing to bring up in Arby’s report. He mentioned the humans released the flood? I’m pretty sure the covenant did when looking for holy relics as discussed in the books/game.
Yep, here's hoping the mysterious black-armored Elite is still Thel 'Vadamee. Possible retconned lore be darned! And nicely enough, some Sins of the Prophets' ship descriptions and sometimes lore actually are now part of the canon. Kudos to the SotP creators and 343i for doing such a thing.
If only the halo show could just do this instead of what the fuck we've been getting. I simply just don't understand the decision making for the silver timeline

Dude I don't know how the hell the TH-cam algorithm brought me to your channel but you are a source of valuable information and I subbed.
Beautifully put together 👌
Have to say, I'm amazed by this lore video! Congratulations!
This is exactly what I needed. I've always wanted to read the novels but never put the work in to find them and read them.
Hey man i got all of them as drm free epub files. If you have an epup reader(read era on android is a good free one) i can give you literally all halo books in existance. I got em all here, just direct message me here on youtube (i got comment notifications turned off)
It's called Amazon. Or the nearest book store. They really aren't that hard to find and are worth it to read, at least for the most part.
high quality production value, loved this video
Wow I just finished First Strike finally, this video was 10/10, love these!
Incredibly high quality video. Thank you!
What an incredible job! Thank you!
*Alpha Halo is blown apart*
Announcer: LOST THE LEAD
I always liked the bit how they "upgraded" the covenant plasma weapons from the slow clunky blobs to a sustained beam. Would be cool to see future iterations of halo lore/content with UNSC ships firing plasma beam weapons
I hope you continue this series and do it for all games
Great vid
More love was put into this video than anything 343 has given us since Forward Unto Dawn. Thank you for this
Massive work! Thank you Halo Canon!
I had no idea there were so many survivors and so many events between the games
If there was one thing in the lore the humans had a technological edge over the Covies it was that Human Smart AIs were fortunately superior to Covenant ones who apparently their AI tech was rather in its infancy and derived from humans
Love the format you used when showing who was alive and who died
It's honestly a shame the covenant ai plot thread never got expanded. My theory is that it is a heavily corrupted fragment of the part of mendicant bias inside the keyship on high charity, a different forerunner ai found on ruins similar to little bit or some random long discarded monitor semi rampant and unstable, or finally a non military human ai that survived the cole protocol heavily damaged by the process but the personality core surviving without the memory of its former self only left with the knowledge that it was abandoned by humanity and driven by the hatred and wanting some sort of revenge
Outstanding video, very well done and presented!
I don't play the game but I read the books. The story is awesome and I find these video's to be very entertaining. Keep up the great work.
i am impressed with the presentation
Also the Mona Lisa incident. Terrifying but interesting film.
One thing to bring up in Arby’s report. He mentioned the humans released the flood? I’m pretty sure the covenant did when looking for holy relics as discussed in the books/game.
I really enjoy the content on this channel!
This story could of been a game of itself.
Thank you for the information! I would also like to say that your production quality is great and I enjoyed the video got a new sub 😁👍
Wow this clears up so much. Very enlightening video, cool!
12:30 Amazing OST
And my day has already been improved by a new HC video :D
Quote from Stg Johnson himself
"The flood?, well they past me up like undercooked spinach at a Turkey dinner"
My day is better already, thanks to you.
Chef also lost all his health, never managed to get that back.
4:28 no shit it’s pitch black your going faster than light you can only see darkness
ah the Unyielding Hierophant, AKA the Uneven Elephant.
What about the miraculous and mysterious escape and survival of Chips Dubbo and Marcus Stacker?
That goes unaddressed in the games or lore, believe it or not. My current theory is that both Chips and Stacker come from families of quintuplets or something, explaining all the Chips Dubbos and Sgt. Stackers across the games.
@@HaloCanon That's a good theory! Would explain how Chips is in New Mombassa and on Delta Halo at the same time, and that NMPD sergeant in ONI Alpha site that sounds just like Stacker!
I hope we get Stacker back in Infinite, I know he's a really obscure character, but I love how he appears in every main game besides 5 despite that. Honestly the fact that 343 included him in Halo 4 is astounding.
@@HaloCanon hopefully some of them are still the same ones eg: Halo 3 Stacker and Halo 4 Stacker being the same version.
another absolute banger in the list ✔️
Very thankful for you and your channel
