    The DV+ is also good to ensure a long diverter valve life. I can't tell the diff on my stage 2+ but I like knowing that my dv is much stronger.

    I've had dv+ spacer and then the golf r one as well the 2 peice diverter valve. Now I have the forge blow off and I love it! It sounds louder and also hear it more often. I really havent felt any power differences so really just a personal preference.

    The rev D valve can suffer from massive leaks even brand new as the plastic piston cannot be fitted tightly enough to seal while still being actuated properly by the solenoid. The Rev G seals perfectly but eventually the diaphragm will rip, especially if you are running extra boost or a KO4. The DV+ is extremely strong and can handle 50psi or so. Also, you only have to oil the piston on installation, it requires no maintenance or additional oiling. You will only notice a performance improvement if your stock diverter is failing or has failed. That being said, they sound great, last a long time and can handle more boost than either revision of the OEM valve. Not the first mod I would do to my car, but I just got a moderate tune (+51hp and 80lb/ft) and the DV+ works very nicely with the added boost.

    I had my OEM IS20 and an IS38 blow while using the Turbosmart 50/50 BOV. I’m not saying the turbos blew due to having that BOV, but I since have gone back to the stock DV, and haven’t had an issue since.

    For me the gfb dv+ is very helpful if you’re stage 2 or up .. cause the stock dv is designed to handle only 26-27 psi maximum, so sometimes stock dv drops boost over 23-24 psi and like me I used a jb4 piggyback tune it was always drop boost in only 22-23 psi’s settings after I installed the dv+ it’s really make different in handling boost, 25 psi without any problems, and so smooth throttle and fast boost chagring and always peak boost is in point .. that’s my experience

    • @GGP39

      If it's only holding 22-23 psi, your DV is defective then. I have no problem holding 25+ PSI on the stock DV.

      @@juulstain9654 I think I know what it is. The diverter valve is only tested and manufactured for stock boost pressure. Once you get a JB4 or ECU tune the boost is turned up. The sound is boost escaping past the diverter valve because the stock valve can't hold all the boost in. To test the theory I ordered a DV+ diverter valve upgrade from GoFastBits. I'll have it installed as soon as I get it and I'll let you know.

    Will a BOV harm the car if it is stock? Reliability wise

    • @spencerquimby4726
      @spencerquimby4726 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A BOV can damage your turbo eventually, mostly by causing excessive wear to the turbo bearing. This is not a BOV though, it's a diverter valve. The difference being that it maintains as much positive pressure as possible in the intake when shifting or coming off throttle where as a BOV venting to atmosphere does not. The advantage being better throttle response after shifting or coming off throttle by reducing turbo lag. It makes a sound like a BOV but isn't really the same thing.

      GOODSATIVA I have an APR downpipe and awe track version, it’s a fucking hog. You get a LOT more noise from the downpipe than the exhaust. If you’re going stock downpipe, I’d just chop your stock muffler and save yourself some money. The exhaust system isn’t worth the money and trouble if you’re running stock DP *in my opinion*

      @nitsuabro9463 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      GOODSATIVA I’m not telling you not, just know what you’re getting yourself into. Stock DP is squeezing all that air and slowing it down. Doesn’t matter how wide or free flowing your exhaust is if the air can’t get to it quickly and fluidly. It’ll be louder than stock but it’s designed for a larger volume of air, it’s going to sound kinda hollow

    • @LucasHuang

      @@scmtkings4
      I'm no mechanic, but from my understanding a BOV will introduce a little turbo lag.
      This is because the diverter recirculates the excess boost pressure to help keep the turbo spinning for longer when you let off the accelerator making for better power delivery upon gear changes. A BOV removes this system because it dumps pressure to atmosphere.
      I also can't see how a BOV would affect reliability, but I can't say from experience as I've never had one.
      Hope this helps!

      I ran the DV+ when the factory DV stop holding boost. Even with the new DV revision from Audi/VW will fail. I can only speak for two cars I had. One car factory and other with a stage one tune both with DV+. Also, you can run the DV+ with or without the main spring. Depending how you want the DV+ to work. Like anything you put into cars that is “aftermarket” may need fine tuning for your car/application.
