In 3DW parabones don't lose their wings when stomped but in SMM2 they do. The SMM2 wiki page has a section for differences between it's styles and the original games including SMM1 just so you, whoever is reading this, knows.
You _can_ actually break shells in 3D World, you just need to hit it enough times in a row (keeping it in the air with fireballs) to get a 1-Up. Doing so will grant you that 1-Up and will also break it.
Although it may sound weird, but did anyone notice the Mario dying voice clip at 2:22 when its small form? Compared to MM2, he uses the same voice clip as if died as big form at 2:33. Its kinda intresting, no?

I think Blue Toad's coloration differences stem from New Super Mario Bros Wii. In NSMBW, Yellow and Blue Toads are playable and in order to be able to tell them apart blue has to keep a blue color and yellow a yellow color, no matter the transformation. In SM3DW, Yellow Toad isn't playable and is intead replaced with Peach as the 4th character. As a result, they could take some of Yellow Toads colors and apply them to Blue Toad when necessary. Since SMM2 Blue Toad is most likely based on NSMBW Blue, plus the existence of Toadette who at a quick glance might be easy to mix up if the colors were too similar, they just used the NSMBW colors.
You can destroy a shell with fire flower, albeit its very difficult to do. It helps to get it against a wall but the idea is to keep the shell from hitting the ground by throwing 8 fire balls at it. You are rewarded a 1-Up
1:09 actually that's not true. That Koopa is tied to a "Rail" which is basically where it is set to walk. If you removed the rail, the Koopa would behave differently
The thing of the one way warp boxes ain't true, I think (am not shure) some 3D world warp boxes are also on the other side, just not usable since you can't reach it.

I think in 3d world there was a normal one for dying, and then a higher pitch one for dying small. They just didn't add that to mm2 for some reason
