I have a 2014 king quad 750 SE. I love the new style. Suzuki had a great platform and just made subtle improvements, but add them all up and it's a nice upgrade. You are so right about the reliability factor. People get so caught up in big displacement. I'd rather ride than wrench.

I totally agree with you EverythingWicked. My wife & I have been quad riders (2005 BF650s) for the last 15+ years & always enjoyed riding them on the local trails in the high desert of NW Arizona. It's true, you really don't know how good something is until you try something new. Well, last February we bought a new, 2021 KRX1000, thinking that we must be missing out on something because just about everyone seems to be making the switch from ATVs to SXSs. It didn't take us long to realize we made a BIG mistake buying this beautiful, smooth riding SXS. We really tried to enjoy it but something was missing when we were driving it down the very same trails we drove our ATVs for over a decade....We no longer felt like we were part of the driving experience like we did riding our BF 650s. Another thing we quickly noticed was just how f.....g loud it was in the cab. The screaming CVT gear whine along with the Very high revving engine (5,000 rpms going 10-15 mph in high) was loud enough to make your ears bleed!
Back in the winter months, we didn't notice any cab heat. Now that Summer is here in Arizona, it's common to have 95-100F days and the cab heat produced by the radiator hoses running through the center shift area of the SXS is unbearable on those hot Arizona days. Add all the dust that finds it's way in the cab and you fully realize that SXSs (for some) are not really that enjoyable to drive. Our Atvs are quiet, cool, very maneuverable on the narrowest of trails & a blast to drive!

I to "had" a kRX and sold it about a month ago. Very nice machine but really didn't do anything for me. I will most likely but another T2 for use at my property in southern ohio but, for general riding I will stick with my king quad. More agile, cooler, can go more places and just all around better experience. These sxs are big as jeeps at this point .. just to much in the trails. I live on the east coast so it's much tighter wooded trail...it just doesn't work for me with a sxs... especially a sport sxs

Great Review. I have a 14 Griz and love it but I am looking for a second ride for the kid. Agree with everything but your opinion on Power Steering. Just a little older then you and power steering is a must. Oh well! Your review was an honest take on the Suzuki. Enjoy your King Quad. I will look for the winch install.

That’s nuts on that tube for a winch install, I installed a RT30 warn winch on a 2009 Yamaha Grizzly and had to take the rack off and all the plastics basically to run the wires. That was a heck of a job.

Great machine, if your back is messed up , get a back rest, its a life saver. power steering is great on the kingquad but 1 complaint, when you engage the 4x4 or diff lock the power steering should boost up a bit. get left handed throttle, cut the shifter gate with your oscillating multi tool, so you don't have to run through the entire gates, wire up some lights, and hand warmers , Elka shocks, 26 " tires, lift kit , Clutch weight lightening, machined clutch sheave, and you're good to go. Suzuki/yamaha = reliability.

Thanks for sharing.. I had a 700 cc 2006 King Quad which was fully loaded minus PS. I just upgraded to a 2016 Yamaha... Ironically everyone keeps raving about the Yamaha Griz but I have to say, there is something about the Suzuki ride. Maybe I like the stiffer ride on the king more. Not sure what it is, it certainly is a better looking quad over the Yamaha.. Anyways, probably going to sell my kingquad as i don't need both. Will see, this new Suzuki does seem appealing. I think the plastic on the Suzuki is way more solid and holds up way better than the Yamaha's. I also only upgraded to ps on this newer Yamaha for my wife and safety riding on rougher terrain. I really never found the lack of ps to freak me out but maybe its different for others. Anyways, I may still go back to Suzuki one day if I feel let down by my Griz...I am close to 60, so I don't go hog wild on the throttle but every once in a while I like the thrill of popping a wheelly or a few good jumps. I think either Quad will do that for me. Suzuki is still one good ride IMHO...

Hi from Nl canada, love the honesty in your video...Im also in the market for an atv/ sxs and trying to decide on what to get. Ive had many atvs, 350 hondas, 420 rancher, rubicon, grizzly 700, 650 outlander. Now Im thinking about a wolverine 850 or 1000 Rmax, however, i feel like I will miss the freedom of the atv. I really enjoyed the grizzly, overall. Im thinking about getting a new one and a sxs, but I am considering the new 750 kingquad. Ive heard they are stiff and I also have a bad back( age lol). I hated the on/ off engagement of the canam quad. Loved the soft ride and smooth transmission of the grizzly. I sold it because it had the new 708 cc engine...Im looking for...reliability, smoothness and comfort mainly.......Any advice is appreciated.

      @Supertramp01  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

How do! I can give you my perspective as I have owned some grizzlys. I can tell you for a FACT that the king quad is much more plush and a better ride than the grizzly. You sit more down in the machine as opposed to over the bars. The KQ is super smooth and it's faster if that matter to you. I wouldn't own any other 4x4 atv to be honest and I have had or rode them all. It's as reliable as the hondas.
If you're looking at sxs check out some of my other reviews I have done but in short I will tell you I was torn between the RMAXX and the KRX... Well I went kRX and I explained why in my videos. I think kawi makes some of the best sxs out there...not the fastest but the best at everything.
I also have a bad back and need the plushest ride I can get so my reviews and choices are for that reason as well

I have a 20 500 which is exactly the same but the motor and the power steering helps a little but not noticeable these are assembled in Georgia and I guess parts come from Japan not Chinese which the Kymco is from and it’s a decent Atv but all in all i love mine I have had several king quads and about all other brands still I usually end up back to Suzuki

I don’t get SXS’s. I’ve rented 2. I still want to try quads more. I’m a motorcycle guy for sure. However I want something between my drz and my tundra. A quad seems cool for exploring and camping. I can carry more stuff and Suzuki is awesome. I’ve had 3 so far, they are awesome. I spent younger years on gsxr race bikes. Solid machines. The last SXS I rented was a Honda pioneer 700. It wouldn’t crawl up a hill and seemed very tippy. I’ll try a wuaf next. Grizzly or kindquad. I’m not sure. Dealers don’t have much but I’ll try something soon.
Kingquad has a cvt? Or 5 speed tranny ?

I'm having a really tough time deciding between the Can-Am Outlander 850 and the King Quad 750. I love the idea of the reliability of the King Quad, but really like the power of the Can-Am. It's hard to determine how the reliability of the Can-Am is. Lots of guys say they are great, but then I see tons of posts online about things like blown differentials. Do you have any opinions between the two? Is it worth the cost for the Can-Am over these?

My son's 2023 Outlander Max 1000 XMR has been a disaster so far. Low gear had an issue at 200 km, and the dealer said they weren't going to cover it under warranty. I basically had to threaten to sue them then said they would fix it, came back almost worst with problems with high and low gears. Rear taillights falling off the machine and winch issues . I'm thinking of going to Suzuki actually.

With the quad I can take the camper quad and inflatable raft with 6hp motor all in 1 load with the pickup. Worrying about scratches is not a good enough reason to pay the extra money for camo in my opinion. @@Supertramp01 was that Polaris a 2021? I know they relocated the battery/electrical just below the front rack this year. I’m friends with one of the sr employees in the service department at my local dealership.
It’s crazy how you get so many polar opposite opinions on TH-cam and the forums. Not suggesting your experience isn’t valuable, I appreciate you taking the time to tell me that.
I’m an independent insurance agent and I’m in the process of insuring an ATV repair shop. Father and son business that have 28 years of experience. We talked 4 wheelers for a good while this past week and I mentioned what he thinks of the sportsman vs grizzly(forgot to mention the KQ) and he suggested the sportsman. Main reason being is the cost of parts for Polaris and ease of access/maintenance. Said someone like me who has tools and has a little mechanical skill, it would be a lot easier to work on vs a grizzly. His shop is independent and doesn’t have any sort of interest in Polaris. Although he did use to work as a mechanic for a ATV shop that sells the Japanese brands, Polaris and Can-am.
Not trying to change your mind, you clearly have your brand picked out. I’m undecided. If reliability was 90% of my decision factor I would go Suzuki or Honda, but... I’ve sat on all of them and the new sportsman is so dang comfortable. When I ride my buddies brute force I feel like I’m sitting on top of the quad. Sportsman feels like you’re sitting in it like a sports car, if that makes sense. Also I’m not in the Alaskan wilderness where I’d be in trouble if it broke down. On on our 420 acre ranch and ATV parks.

@@jsnokhous Yes it was a 2021 sportsman. Trust me when I tell you I am not brand loyal. I have had them all except a Polaris simple because friends have had them and they all had some sort of problem. I agree with you input on the kawi seat position. With the KQ you also sit down in the saddle where as you are more over the bars on the griz and BF. I had a pile of the 660 and 600 grizzlys and when they went from the 660 to the 700 I didn't care for the wheelbase so I switched to the king quad, then a brute force, then to a Honda Rubicon and ultimately went back to the KQ. I fell that it is the best well rounded sport utility out there, super smooth, fast enough and ultra reliable.
If you check out all my reviews you can see I bounced around in the sxs field as well. I ended up choosing the new KRX because of the same reasons I chose the KQ.... I believe it is the best well rounded and all my friends have different faster machines. Certain machines are good for certain things... I will sacrifice certain things to get the best machine.
The problem with forums and YT is you get one sided reviews because 99% of people are brand loyal or the people like fisher atv and dirt tracks get paid for there reviews. I give it to everyone straight. Chose the machine you think will be best for you even if you disagree with my talking points.
Also you shouldn't have the mindset that you wont be in trouble if you breakdown...you should have the mindset that you will make it there and back!!

@@Supertramp01 a lot of good points. I appreciate you taking the time to explain you and your friends experiences. My background is dirt bikes which is a topic that’s irrelevant here.
I’m with you on the grizzly wheelbase. For me it’s more so the length of the seat. On the ranch my wife would enjoy riding with me putting around.. the grizzly seat looks pretty short. The KQ seat looks like it’s about the same length of the sportsman. I’m sure it would be fine for the wife to hop on for casual ranch riding huh?
My use for a quad is 10% projects on my property(hauling a dump cart, lawn leveling, etc), 60% ranch use(hunting, working and fun), 30% trail riding in east Texas where mud holes are inevitable. Im more of a go fast rider and the place where I’ll go(River run ATV park) you definitely can and I want a smooth ride(thinking Polaris).
That being said if I went KQ I could just get an extra set of wheels and tires(thinking 27”big horn 2.0 or similar) and be fine? I’m not turning it into a mud machine or submarine; have no interest in destroying it. Im 35 now so a little more sensible than my younger years.
Lastly, suspension and ride quality. This is where you can’t beat Polaris, from why I’m told, but I digress. How is the ride quality on the KQ? I want a machine I’m not so fatigued at the end of a full day of riding. Those full day trail rides for me will only realistically happen 3-6 times a year so I want to enjoy them and not be riding a brick, like my buddies 12 brute force feels like.
Thanks again for the feedback and help. BTW I watched your first impressions video on your Kawasaki SXS and you mentioned your videos were deleted. That’s definitely true. There’s nothing on your channel prior to 3 weeks ago. I subscribed, hope to see more content on the KQ. Cheers 🍻

I have a 2020 king quad 750 and a 2018 polaris 570. The king has more power and does ride quieter but the polaris is considerably more comfortable to ride. It's also more capable, better ground clearance and a better 4wd system. The polaris has 900 miles of mud and trail riding, as well as plowing in the winter. I've had two issues, motor mounts broke with 10 hours on it, and the battery was bad also within 10-15 hours. People talk a lot of crap about polaris but don't listen to anyone who hasn't owned one.

@@Supertramp01 I wasn't referring to the King Quad specifically.. i have an 08 Arctic cat 700 without power steering. Which I use going across fields often in the spring. And I just picked up a 2023 Artic cat 600 Alterra LTD with power steering, and after using it. I think i'll relegate the 08 to other duties. The power steering helps tremendously in the rutted fields. especially going slow while spraying. And I'm sure it'll be very nice on rougher trails where the tires like to jerk the steering.

As far as power steering goes, I’ve been hearing non stop that Suzuki’s power steering isn’t great. If you want to feel the difference find somebody with a Polaris that has ps and go hit a trail with it and you’ll see the benefit of good power steering.

Honestly I think power steering is a joke on a four-wheeler. It's just something else that can fail and ultimately if it does it will be twice as hard to turn. Think of a car when your power steering fails. The non power steering is super easy to drive and I can't tell the difference between the two. my honest opinion...save the money for accessories.

@@Supertramp01 I'm glad you've talked about the power steering for all of us guys out there who have never experienced it. I've ridden older sportsmans and artic cats and never had an issue steering them on any terrain. And great point about the camo plastics. I'm not a fan of painted plastics. Never owned a quad with painted plastics and trying to keep it that way

    • @Supertramp01
      @Supertramp01  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@fistcover3831 I like to point out the facts. Most of the bigger shows on YT doing reviews get kick backs and pushing power steering is ridiculous. You see grown men saying they get arm pump after just a couple of riding from poor power steering units or quads without it.... STUPID! If someone can't ride a quad without it...you shouldn't be riding one. SXS are a different story...of course it's needed on those.
Ad far as plastics go... Most aren't painted...for example red...it's just raw red plastic which is why they scratch so easy. Camo on the other is dipped over black plastic and dipped plastic doesn't scratch as easy because of the material. Good thing about camo...you won't see scratches but if you gouge it...it's just a black mark which blends with the camo. That's why I always shoot for camo...I got this quad at a killer price with only 5 miles on it at the time...I think... I know it was below 10.

I agree about side by sides, I think they are kinda lame to be honest, I understand why people like them but I’m not interested in owning one over a quad.
I rode not long ago at Tecumseh near hemlock Ohio and the side by sides have that place so rutted out the red trails weren’t even fun, constant worry of falling in a rut and upsetting the quad, one guy in our group did upset his quad because he fell in a rut and the quad got away from him on a hill. Overall everyone still had a good time but could have been better without those ruts.

Yes, it was a plush ride and I looked "cool" driving it through town, but that got old and boring real fast! My wife and I each have 2004 Kaw Brute Force 650s that we bought new and have driven for 17 years on the local trails where we live, with -0- problems.
