Why dont you guys just come out and say it. The suzuki king quad is a workhorse versatile machine. Its meant for work through the week and play or trail riding on the weekend. The people who buy these are not looking for a race horse. When people throw down their hard earned cash they are not looking for a $15,000 1 year thrill ride, they are looking for a machine they can still drive, use and depend on 20 years down the road.
Japanese companies know the line between reliability and power. Polaris and Can Am have 1000cc big horsepower quads...and stay broke. The engine has enough power to tear up the quad it’s sitting in. Japan seems reluctant to put engines in that are capable of self destructing when abused and damaging their reputation for lasting forever. Old quads lasted 30 years because they weren’t strong enough to tear themselves up. Personally I think it’s a smart move. I’d rather have a reliable bulletproof ATV than the most horsepower. I grew up when a 300 was considered a “ big” quad so if I can’t get it done with 7-800cc I might as well quit
The only comment I needed to read to convince me that getting this Quad is a good idea. Thank you! I currently have a 2005 Polaris sportsman 800 EFI. I’m so over it. Time for an upgrade!
diesel_doll I had a can am XMR 1000 and i hated it....i swapped it for a Grizzly 500 and never regretted it one bit...that can am was the biggest money pit...tie rods, brakes, axels, etc...for 10,000+ dollars u shouldnt have to upgrade parts for beefier ones right off the showroom floor...i had 75 miles on mine and i had a broken tie rod, and needed new brakes...i just did normal trail riding and an OCCASIONAL little mud pit...they look nice, but i just dont think theyre built as well as the Japanese build them...
Love KingQuads, just bought a 2020 750Axi, ONLY because a tree fell on my 2009 KingQuad 500. I had 4000 miles and 400Hours on my old 500. Did everything that I asked for it, and reliable as hell.
The only thing I would disagree with in the video is this. The 2019 King Quad 750 SE+ is designed for aggressive trail riding. It is not a sport quad, but in between that and the larger utility quads from Polaris and Can-am. I have driven the Grizzly (old and new) and Renegade 1000. With OEM "sized" radial tires, it performs similar to the Renegade with exception to the acceleration and top speed (and better than the Grizzly overall). If you want to add large mud tires and go swimming maybe the large displacement V-twin atvs are a better choice. Although the King Quads are very reliable and handle mud abuse fine. Watch "Team WMD" ice racing videos if you want to see how hard you can ride the old 2005 version. The 2019 has many significant improvements over the first generation 2005 KQ 700 and good improvements over the more recent KQ 750. $8200 out the door price. It's time to upgrade if you are a fan of the the King Quad's reliability.
The Can-am may lead the pack on the start, but seems to always come back on the end of a rope. What these people don't take into consideration is the fact that when we pay so much for a ATV WE WANT IT TO LAST. If you want a wheeler that will take you there and back, time and time again, you might want a Suzuki !!
facts one of my family members got a can am 1000cc side by side, i got throught the hole and when they followed they got stuck and i pulled them out with my 420 honda rancher
How much horse power do you need? I personally have no desire to rio up the country side and have the machine self destruct I want a reliable machine a work machine. That will last forever
My issue with most ATV's is that you can't beat the hell out of most of them, always something to worry about over certain terrain. This new kingquad seems really durable. I see how hard you road this thing and I appreciate that everyone else at this test track pussyfooted it a bit i thought. Awesome review.
Good video. Just picked up a 2021 750 SE King Quad myself and I am loving it so far. I wanted something to plow with and do everyday yard work while having good power for the occasional weekend tearing it up on the trails, but those 1000cc monsters just seem crazy to me im not trying to get myself killed out there lol. Reliability was my #1 consideration and while I hear the NA brands have come a long ways, I want this thing to last forever if im going to drop $11k on it. Very happy with my purchase so far
I love my 19 king quad 750. I don't need a big bore to have fun. I love the look and ride. I've beat the snot out of it, rolled it, sunk it and it just keeps going
The older I get, the less I care about high horsepower. So what they didn't go with a bigger displacement twin motor, much like Honda and Yamaha, you're buying a Suzuki for the dependability. Heck, my father in-laws '92 king quad has never had a tune up, exhaust is rotted out, has questionable suspension, racks are bent, plastics are cracked, seat torn to shreds but you can always count on it to do work and never let you down...and still easily pull a house off it's foundation hahah.
I appreciate the critical scrutiny, but the complaints regarding power or suspension at Baha speed, comparing to 850 and 1000cc machines seems ridiculous. This is not the point and purpose of this vehicle. Take a look at the comments here.
Why do they test these kingquads like race machines? Why do they whip them on racetracks? Why do they complain about not having a V-Twin with more horsepower? This is not a quad for you if you want to do these things. Wrong quad, plain and simple. This is a workhorse and a comfortable cruiser, period. And it is the king at that. Even the 722cc engine is big for cruising and working. Having a 850cc or 1000cc would be utterly useless. Maybe next time you could test a Yamaha YFZ450 as a farm implement? Your review is well made and still interesting but always wanting more power, more displacement must stop someday. Suzuki doesn't want to play in that extreme performance market, hence not having that renegade/scrambler look.
I said why in the video. We get a small amount of time on the machine. I want to put as much hard time on the machine as I can to replicate the amount of wear it might receive by ridden normally over a long period of time. I try to break it so I can find a weak point - so I can tell you what you might look out for.
I thought the same thing!!! Show us some Slow Technical riding. How does it handle in LOW Range.. Over crazy Obstetricals. How does it handle with some Weight on it. Through some Brush or logged Ground.... Can I haul a moose outa the brush with it?
20 yrs from now.....”These little 1000cc quads just won’t get the job done” “these manufacturers have to step up to the standard 2000cc that everyone wants now”
I ride long distances across deserts or mountains and I'm gone for weeks or months at a time in the middle of no where hundreds of miles away from anyone. I carry everything with me to survive and I want a machine that's reliable and gets great gas mileage and will get me home. The KingQuad has been unbelievable. I've had it a couple of years with no problems. No it's not a V-Twin powered machine with so much power because that's not what I need. It's fun to play in the mud and be crazy playing but if you breakdown you better hope your near home. I usually am not. You should have let two ordinary guys test this quad and not a couple of racers because you know they won't like it as well as a racing equipped quad. I am on trails and fire roads and trails I have to go very slow on so I won't flip over. Good review anyway. I love the Suzuki KingQuad 750.
Would love to see a well thought out video between the Grizzly and KQuad. Many people cross shop these two machines and it would be nice to see a MPG, comfort (subjective), top-speed, braking, acceleration, etc.
@@stellainverso6790 King quad is... I have had 2 grizz 700's and 5 king quad 750's... just bought a new 2019 king quad and love it... I think is rides better and handles better. The new improvements are noticeable
Now that we determine you call it like it is and I did see you reviewed the Grizzly back in 2016. Which do you like more the Suzuki or the Yamaha? The red flags for me based on your review with the Suzuki is bottoming out and with the Grizzly is over heating issues. Was wondering your thoughts.
I like the Grizzly better, but there is something about the KingQuad -- I've been a fan of the machine (besides that one pesky turn in blemish it has) since 2005. Both are excellent choices. Also know that Yamaha shelved their new 708cc and decided to go back to their old 686cc for 2019. I don't have all the details at this time, I think they just went back to their old cylinder head and slightly reduced bore and stroke.. and for some reason it looks to only have two valves instead of four. I haven't found out if that is true or not, but it does not list it as a four valve head on their site. Even with this strange setback, I have to think it's still an incredible machine, not much has changed since they completely revised it in 2016 other than this strange cc reduction. Maybe look for a new-old-stock 2018 Grizzly?? Bottom line, shop for your best deal between the KingQuad or Grizzly and you will be happy with your choice for many years.
Ty John really appreciate your input. Last question is the rear shocks bottoming out a factor or not noticeable. I ride slow trail most times but sometimes a little spirited. Does the Grizzly bottom out like the KQ. Thanks again for your input. I really appreciate your help with which to buy
It's a lot of money to spend. If I were you I would try to ride both of them. But even if you don't I think you will be very happy with either machine. The KingQuad feels more plush, but it will bottom easier than the Grizzly if pushed hard. The three of us in the video gave it no slack. Very few people will punish it like we did. Doug and Ken are pro 4x4 racers.. The Grizzly took hard landing (aka jumping the machine) better. Hope this helps some.
I was wondering if steering kick back was reduced and you've helped me find out. Like you said, it's a great atv for the everyday work, but nothing was reinvented here. Great honnest review, thank you very much.
One correction from the video. The SE+ tires are Carlisle "4 ply" bias tires. They are just acceptable and safe enough for aggressive riding (compared to better radial tires like Bighorns). The old (2005-2007 KQ 700) 2 ply Dunlops were absolutely dangerous (packing peanut) tires that should be thrown away if you ride like the video.
I just got a 2023 king quad 750 SE. I chose it over the can am 850 outlander for its reliability. Yeah, it lacks power, but I'll choose reliability over power every day. The ease of maintenance is crazy how accessible everything is. I'll get through the ruff stuff slower, but not stuck in the woods broke down 15 miles away from the truck, lol. I hope my machine makes 10,000 miles.
You really tell how it is I love that no bull shit not like some of these guys out there you put out the best content by far keep up the good work and thank you so much
I THINK THIS WAS A BRILLIANT REVIEW OF A QUAD. WE DO A LOT OF QUAD ENDURO RACING AN THIS IS WHAT WE WANT TO SEE TESTED. . . COOL NICK IN THE UK !!!!!!!!!
Great review, I agree with you 100%. Love that they improved, but won't go back until the twin is released. Started my channel with the little 450 and made it do things most wouldn't dream of trying. Great quad, and if I could I'd have one as my back up.
Tough to not go to the dark side though.(ya you did!) lol. That bike you have now is a bad beast! No replacement for displacement :P The color scheme is kick ass too! loving your vids. Keep it up!
dude said it cant turn big mud tires but i have 32" mammoth mayhems and blst threw holes, all i did was a shim mod to space the clutch a little to make the belt go lower
We need a King Quad 750 project. Offset wheels(wider stance) + tires for a nice planted 48-49inch wide stance. Elka shocks, clutch mod, tuner + exhaust.
The Suzuki Kingquad 750 and the Yamaha Grizzly 700 are great quads. This review is good to a certain point. You guys are riding and comparing these Utility Quads to racing and sport quads. Of course these do not have the suspension of the racing and sport quads. These suspensions will bottom out if you push them past there limit. The sport racing quads and Utility quads are a totally different quads. The Suzuki 750 is not made to do what you guys do. Get real. I love my utility quads but I also know their limit.
You just listed all the great pros about the atv and it seems like you were drooling over it and THEN you complain that it's not new from the ground up??!! Change for the sake of change?
5000 Miles on my 2013 king. And I have beaten the absolute piss out of it Does it still get water in cvt exhaust when you go thru a puddle? Stealth snorkel first thing I did to mine Tires and new air filter other than that it’s a tank
Nice to see Suzuki did some things to improve but if they don't keep the price down they will be hard sellers. Japan quality is the key with these. I'm happy with my 2005 & 2012. If you want a twin cyl. you get more weight and expense and if big sport power is what you want you will pay more up front and in the end for it.
I'm looking at a 2019, I put a deposit on one. Its s 500 se. This is my first one ever that I've owned and 300s were big when I was last on one. I'm doing basic trail riding with my daughter and I need a smooth ride, any tips you can give me on these machines would help. I've looked at a kodiak 750 they I can get for 400 more.
They are testing this atv as a race quad. Completely opposite of what this was designed to do. It was built for being a reliable workhorse. I don't want a twin. I don't want to ride through deep mud. Lol Gees. Love my `22 750. Suzuki you did a great job IMO.
If you're in the market for a Japanese quad and want some power to go along with it, you ain't gonna find it in Red, Blue, or Yellow. It's in Green, and it's called a Brute Force!
Travis Roach Actually, the KQ is probably faster, stock for stock. KQ's are clutched tall, so they do have a nice top speed for an engine their size. Brutes are all about acceleration and low end grunt with instant torque.
My 2016 KingQuad 750 runs jus about dead even in the top end with a 2017 brute 750. Brute 750 definitely has more low end grunt & midrange but once the KingQuad spools up it has nice midrange grunt with top end power. Both top out at exactly 71mph
lewis4life Very good to know. Thank you for posting that. Mine is clutched for low end and it tops out at about 65 at 5000'+. At 8000 feet, it's about 62.
@@Zukrider13 utility atvs shouldn't even be competing in the "top end" part if the powerband but for very limited use. What the hell is wrong with you idiots? They should rarely even be in just 2 wheel drive either if you are using them at their finest
You made the right choice buying the grizzly . I own an XTR no complaints . I used to own a 2019 king quad 750 traded it because the power steering sucks .
Atvscene.....after doin some research it appears the Kingquad suffers from the same thing as the Kodiak 700. Heavy clutch weights to keep power smooth. Sounds like a change out of the weights really wakes it up.
The 2019 Grizzly is sweet. Yeah it’s not a 1000 but it’s not going to break like all the Polaris’s do! That high beam light isn’t going to work very well with a case in the front. Those shocks look cheap. Some Elka’s or Fox shocks would be nice but will cost you. Needs 14 inch rims and some decent tires like you mentioned.
Great quality review! First pro level quality review I've seen outside of dirt trax and atv on demand. Outlander Max 570 vs Sportsman Touring 570 shootout please.
These guys sound like they are describing a homicide. I have a Suzuki thats 30 years old and its worth more than I paid for it. In 30 years their Can Am will be in the junk yard.
I am no speed demon racer. This will be the first one I've actually owned. I have an 12 year old daughter and the trails we will be on will be basic. I want reliability and I hear the can am use the shop a lot. I want it to have a little get up and go if I want it, but racing isnt my goal. Now if my daughter wants to race when she is older I can look into it. I think this quad will handle everything I will throw at it. If anyone has one and has any advice let know, I pick it up Tuesday. I can get Yamahas and can ams at the same dealer. I've read this is one of the smoothest rides and that is important to me.
I was with you on this review. Until you got those two guys to review it. This is not a race quad. This is a reliable fun atv that is good for trail rides. And I see this atv pushing big tires on you tube so they don’t know what they are taking about. They are just can am biased.
Been watching your reviews and they are great. I know you love you’re grizzly. I’m going to buy a quad for the ranch, hunting there, and trail riding in east Texas where there will be mud holes. Not doing anything crazy in the mud though. My wife will be on the back with me once in a blue moon. Have it narrowed down to the sportsman 850, grizzly and King quad. I’ll never race or ride are hard as you do but my background is dirt bikes and love power; and I’ll need power for the mud. 27” all terrain tires is why I’m thinking I’ll need to turn. Comfort and something that’s not too fatiguing is important. Of my three what would you suggest and why? The grizzly is very appealing; the seat just seems not long enough for 2 people. That being said she would probably only be on with me playing around on the 420 acre ranch so not a deal breaker. Like I said the other day, love the channel!
Soooo basically, same old king quad 😆 At least with the King quad you have the reliability. Not something that is going to leave you in aww, but an overall good reliable machine.
I love my king quad. Mine just took a poop but it was my fault. I failed to check oil. It ran low and scared the cylinder the Piston and the cam and cam jernals are toasted. Along with the timing chain guide.
Yes, I've ridden just about everything... The Polaris has more power, but in my opinion the KingQuad is a way smarter purchase, even smarter is a Yamaha Grizzly.
BRP's 1000's are like the crossover SUV's of the atv scene (see what i did there? 🙂), with their racing suspension, relatively light weight, wide track, well centralized mass and cutting edge active electronic aids working in tandem with suspension, transmission, engine, steering etc. It's a dohc 4 valve 4 stroke single cylinder with about 10:1 compression.. I think its probably up there with what's physically possible to achieve at this displacement and engine construction, i hope japanese manufacturers attempt to compete with BRP's liter quad twin cylinder engine entries with AWD, race quad suspension, but utilitarian ability.
very quiet, my father just got one and it is a pleasure to ride, not too loud, not too stiff, not too crazy, just a perfect trail bike that will last for ages
Excellent job sir. One thing I really wanted to hear was the oil dipstick access. Another, which I didn’t hear was the pull start. My 07 has it. Does the 2019 have it ?
Should of just got a racing 4 wheeler if you going to treat it like that. But for people just wanting to do trails and farm work. Some of the best trails I’ve been on is at Brown Mountain OHV trails in Morganton, NC.
I Have a 2005 King 700 and a 2009 King 750, both are basically the same. The 2019 look exactly the same as my 2009. Same features etc. BUT... I LOVE BOTH OF MY KINGS.
This guy is riding it like a racing quad.. it's not a race quad it's a farm work horse designed to last the distance. I like you Americans but sometimes you do talk alot of shit. Over in new Zealand and Australia your American quads are fuked in about 700 hours in our conditions. Polaris.. can-am they might have all the fancy shit going on but trust me they dont last more than a season on our farms. These kingquads are built to last.
My friend beat the living shit out of his brand new Polaris sportsman in six months worse then my Honda that’s been around for over 20 years but I live in Alaska
Gsfbffx Pdhhdf I agree. My Polaris gives me zero problems. And let’s face it all these new quads are made like shit compared to the old ones. My buddy has the Suzuki 750 and he already went through one transmission and doesn’t ride it hard. So I say it’s the luck of the draw with these new quads and you really got to keep up with the maintenance. Even the new Hondas are having a lot of problems.
I beat the absolute snot out of my 2017 kq 750 on the trails and it thanks me for it, and it works hard and it does mud well. Great machine, it will keep up with big bore atvs all day on the trails, the only way they will leave you behind is on an open road and who wants to ride an atv on that?
Does your king quad clutch is noise? I have a 08 450 king quad but the cvt clutch is noise. It’s run fine but I am not sure if that can be something loose or broken or is normal in this ATVs?
Not everyone want a racing quad! Keep the reliable single cylindre and let it rule in its class for years. Reliability and toughness over speed and high repair bills.
Is the suzuki kingquads long lasting and reliable like a honda is what I want to know I live in honda country not a lot of people ride much anything else but I would love to own one love how the kingquads look
Absolutely. Talk with Kingquad owners, they will proudly tell you how reliable their Kingquads have been over the years. Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda and Kawasaki are going to give you great reliability. A Honda Rincon is a great choice, they are excellent ATVs, and if all your friends have Hondas you might want to go that route since they can better help you with any problems that might come up with your new ATV, but for me my podium would be Grizzly, Kingquad then Rincon.
@@thecasualatvguy617 well not long after I commented I bought the 500 KQ which was about 7 months ago then last month it was stolen along side my honda 420 so I got demoted at work cause of the corona virus making business slow I had to drop my insurance on them now in still paying out of pocket for something I no longer own. But yes while I had it I loved it was a great atv.
@@Vector38-b9t wow that sucks ass. My insurance is 20 a month for theft and wrecking it. I asked to roll it into my dads policy and I'm listed to ride it so it's covered thankfully. I keep mine in the garage and the keys locked up. I worry about it getting stolen traveling to places where you have to stay the night.
Great review thank you. So far it looks like a new Can-Am for me. I have a 2009 Brute force that I bought in 09. I was looking at the Suzuki 750, the Yamaha Grizzly 700, the Polaris 850 sportsmen and the can am 650 or 850 out lander. Just want it for tail riding and hunting and plowing snow in the winter. Its a tough decision. What are your thoughts? Thanks
I think you should stick to one of the big four. I especially say that because you said your last ATV was a Kawasaki. I would bet in the 10 years you owned it you didn't need to do much other than change the oil and clean the air filter. I doubt you will get away with this kind of thing if you switch to a Can-Am or Polaris. If it were me I would go with a Yamaha or Suzuki.
@@johnpellan7204 thank you for your opinion. I wish Honda had something bigger than the Rincon. Have you heard of any possibilities there. I had one of the first Rubicons with the shift on the right side that also had reverse there. That was an absolute flawless machine. Just didn't have the power of the brute force thats for sure.
Great honest review man I got a krx 1000 few months ago and got ride of my 570 sportsman didn’t think I would miss it but do so here I am on line watching reviews I like Suzuki and Kawasaki reliability but like Polaris power on quads I’m thinking of the brute force or Grizzle but I really like the touring model of Polaris so my wife can ride double with me I never had trouble out my 18 sportsman but I’ve heard horror story’s from others help me make my mind up for what to get and make some more real world honest video’s man
Thanks much. It's good you are researching as thorough as you are, and I think youtube is probably the best place to get informed. Anyone that impulse buys a big purchase like this is pretty dumb. You asked my opinion, I like the Grizzly number one and the King Quad two. Polaris and Can Am are at the bottom of my list.
You guys arent even testing it in technical all 4 wheel drive slow stuff like in woods and trails. Shitty to test this the way you did. It makes your wonderful experience in racing worthless here. Cmon.
Go brute force 750, only Japanese reliability v-twin quad out there. Tested em all, brute was the way, no regrets and they got a revised model this year. The power is INSANE compared to these singles.
I'm happy with my 2011 kingquad power steering 750 and not like those rainbows colors of can am that people buy just for the look and no performance in the trail!
Very good video. I can see you put a lot of work into this. I have to agree with the other comments . The guys testing it like a race Atv is irrelevant . Still interesting to listen to the comparison though.I don't like Carlisle tires either !
Thanks for the video. Really looking at a 2019 750 SE Bronze. Local dealer has it OTD for $7800. Test ride it and was impressed. Currently riding a 2007 Arctic Cat 650h1
Looks pretty solid and worth considering for my first machine. Given its nearly $10,000 MSRP though, how does it rank against a CForce 800XC that looks to offer a lot more for $1500 less money?
That's probably one of the better-made ATVs from China, but personally, ATVs from the big four are too well-made to gamble. You get what you pay for. I personally would never buy an ATV made from China even if the price was half the cost. KingQuads are one of the most durable and long-lasting ATVs ever made, you can pay now or pay later. If the price is just too much maybe you can land a good used one. Regardless good luck and keep the rubber side down!
Robert DeMilo I'd look for a deal on a Brute Force or a Grizzly over both those quads.. I paid less than 10k for a 1k XP1000 but I get that a lot of people don't like Polaris.. Check the dealer network too, it makes life easier if you have a dealer close by.
These guys are riding them like there race quads lmfao its like there expecting renegade performance out of the king quad ,with the king quad it is what it is im sure its fun and reliable for 10k
You definitely rode it harder than the other guys who put these vids out but no one there seemed super impressed with this machine... Underwhelming seems to be the consensus...
Dirt ObseXXion it depends what your buying it for.. these are a farm quad and they do the whole farm quad thing as good or better than any other dedicated farm quad on the market. If your wanting a 1000cc trailblazer then its not your thing. The big American quads, can-am and Polaris Hardly last more than a season on a new Zealand farm with our consistent mud. They are fuked in less than a 1000 hours. These Suzukis will see you to 5000 hours in New Zealand conditions.
Yeah, I can understand that.. My statement was based on Suzuki saying they are avoiding the SXS market and going all in on the ATV. This just doesn't seem like "all in". Very underwhelming from a performance perspective. I don't doubt the reliability. I'm saying this as a Suzuki fan. I have had several of their motorcycles and currently have a GSXR. If its a farm quad fine.. But they're promoting "more aggressive styling and performance".
I bought my 19 3 months ago for the purpose of using a snowblower attachment. Wasn't a big deal to get a set of Mud Lites with rims added in the financing. Now I have 2 sets of tires. I am not out beating the snot out of it when the blower is off it. It has plenty of power for me I can't complain.
I don't understand the comparison of the 750 to these 1000 CC quads. You might as well review a Honda recon 250 and complain that it's not a 500 And compare it to the 500's. It's A750 compare it to anything else in its class. And I also agree that these 1000 CC quads that are 15 grand I ridiculous and a 700 or 750 is plenty enough. I've actually iwned Honda's most all my life and the forman which is A 475 CC will do everything I need it to do.
You're asking them to change the whole segment. That's kind of foolish, just ask them to make a 4x4 race machine. Can't turn those big tires? It has how many horse power? Ask for a super 4x4 mud/race quad. That one is supposed to be fast.
Ok week-end warriors keep buying parts every week for your "Big Bores" i'll keep my 2 small reliable machines 450 kodiak and 450 kingquad. Gas and oil that's all they need
Amen brother when your a long way from anywhere by yourself with no cell coverage "speed" don't mean squat. These city boys just don't get it as realiability is all that matters
IT's lacking Gas tank Volume for us Canadians. I did a 127 mile ride and that 17 liter tank is to small!! I just got a 2022...and I'm disappointed. Flat tire at mile 26.. on a chip sealed road at that. uggg. Side wall on factory tires bite! Front wheels tracks are 3 inches narrower then the back. This is a problem for the ass end will sway to and from. Like a 1980's Comareo with the stupid wide rear end. Looks cool thats where it ends. WHEELS Should always be inline. Add in Snow. And this a twitchy bike. I'm pissed.. Gonna spend 2000 to fix the short comings on this bike. I never had the issues on an 07
i just bought a 2016 king quad i have owned a vinson 500, KQ 700 and 750 brute. i was looking to buy a can am 850 i really wanted the power but King Quad won my vote they last for ever and i put 10.000 kilometres on my atvs with no more then brakes pads no other manufacturer can as the maintenance and reliability as a suzuki. oh ya and price my new KQ after tax in canada $11.000 the can am xtr 850 was $17.000. i guess thats way its the king.
JohnnyRebKy totally agree, the big displacement atv 's break down. Can am & Polaris quality isn't up to the Japanese brands .
Well said. I agree. I looked at the can am 1000 but opted for a Kawasaki. 750cc is plenty. Reliability was at the top of my list.
Nobody builds engines like the original big 4....
The only comment I needed to read to convince me that getting this Quad is a good idea. Thank you! I currently have a 2005 Polaris sportsman 800 EFI. I’m so over it. Time for an upgrade!
diesel_doll
I had a can am XMR 1000 and i hated it....i swapped it for a Grizzly 500 and never regretted it one bit...that can am was the biggest money pit...tie rods, brakes, axels, etc...for 10,000+ dollars u shouldnt have to upgrade parts for beefier ones right off the showroom floor...i had 75 miles on mine and i had a broken tie rod, and needed new brakes...i just did normal trail riding and an OCCASIONAL little mud pit...they look nice, but i just dont think theyre built as well as the Japanese build them...
It's time to upgrade if you are a fan of the the King Quad's reliability.
suzuki aint going anywhere they last forever and are priced well
Ooh a can ham owner fuck you ass hole
The Can-am may lead the pack on the start, but seems to always come back on the end of a rope. What these people don't take into consideration is the fact that when we pay so much for a ATV WE WANT IT TO LAST. If you want a wheeler that will take you there and back, time and time again, you might want a Suzuki !!
facts one of my family members got a can am 1000cc side by side, i got throught the hole and when they followed they got stuck and i pulled them out with my 420 honda rancher
Said perfectly
How much horse power do you need? I personally have no desire to rio up the country side and have the machine self destruct I want a reliable machine a work machine. That will last forever
Honda foreman last 20 years easy !! Those can. Atv will be tore up in 5 years guaranteed
well said, that machine has plenty of power. If u want to race get a race quad
@@mikequyl8754 can am wouldnt. They are work machines.
One of the best reviews I have ever seen on anything. Well done
I've only had to bail out on mine once and it was my fault. I just followed someone without thinking and rested it on a tree.
The older I get, the less I care about high horsepower. So what they didn't go with a bigger displacement twin motor, much like Honda and Yamaha, you're buying a Suzuki for the dependability. Heck, my father in-laws '92 king quad has never had a tune up, exhaust is rotted out, has questionable suspension, racks are bent, plastics are cracked, seat torn to shreds but you can always count on it to do work and never let you down...and still easily pull a house off it's foundation hahah.
those and the 250's were real tanks
I like that it’s not all new. They are just tweaking and making good even better.
Exactly I can easily transition from my 88 to a 2021 and frankly not miss a beat. Well done Sukuki
ATV Scene Good point. And suzuki will endure many beatings trouble free. My 09 king is a testament to that.
it is not a v twin as v twins dont give out as much torque as mono cylinders and this is meant to pull heavy loads
My 2011 KQ has over 8000 miles on the odometer with zero maintenance issues , plenty of power IMO .
I thought the same thing!!! Show us some Slow Technical riding. How does it handle in LOW Range.. Over crazy Obstetricals. How does it handle with some Weight on it. Through some Brush or logged Ground.... Can I haul a moose outa the brush with it?
Great review. Knowledgeable, honest, straight forward, etc. I love it. Need more like you guys. Just subbed.
20 yrs from now.....”These little 1000cc quads just won’t get the job done” “these manufacturers have to step up to the standard 2000cc that everyone wants now”
Twin turbo v6 in a quad
Interesting. What do you do?
Would love to see a well thought out video between the Grizzly and KQuad. Many people cross shop these two machines and it would be nice to see a MPG, comfort (subjective), top-speed, braking, acceleration, etc.
I have had 4 Grizzlies (new) and one new KQ and it's a 750 (new).
I will give you my assessment!
Don Schlonski which one is better don ?
@@stellainverso6790 King quad is... I have had 2 grizz 700's and 5 king quad 750's... just bought a new 2019 king quad and love it... I think is rides better and handles better. The new improvements are noticeable
@@Dean-od8he I love the ride on mine. Handles everything I throw at it and is comfy doing it.
Loved the honest review. I feel way too many reviews for quads are there to sell the machine. I really appreciate the honesty for this bike.
Thank you Paul. I say it like it is in all of my reviews. No fake news here :)
That's how I drive my king quad, no problem yet, 2007 king quad
Keep it up!
this guy eh tv best videos on the interweb
dude said it cant turn big mud tires but i have 32" mammoth mayhems and blst threw holes, all i did was a shim mod to space the clutch a little to make the belt go lower
And FYI. I have a 2009 750 axi. It would run over and brush and went through anything I put it through down here in the Louisiana swamp.
The best, straight forward review that I have ever watched.
That's a pretty huge thing to say. Much appreciated my friend :)
We need a King Quad 750 project. Offset wheels(wider stance) + tires for a nice planted 48-49inch wide stance.
Elka shocks, clutch mod, tuner + exhaust.
That king quad looks fun to ride !!!!
it is. Smooth , quiet, and compliant drivetrain.
This is a work machine, not a racing machine. Let’s see some work!
Yet it has a really comfy ride, handles better than my buddies can am with the radiator on the front and will go close to 70mph stock.
Your a hell of a rider and make the king quad look like it has plenty of power.
My KQ has the copperhead fuel controller and a clutch kit , and it's plenty fast
You just listed all the great pros about the atv and it seems like you were drooling over it and THEN you complain that it's not new from the ground up??!! Change for the sake of change?
Awesome review. No fluff at all. Very rare to hear the truth. Bravo.
Mike Johnson shut up. Bruteforcebis king
No complaints here
That second part of the review was the most depressing review I've ever seen. Those two guys should stick to racing and not do reviews.
Can am fan boys
They are testing this atv as a race quad. Completely opposite of what this was designed to do. It was built for being a reliable workhorse. I don't want a twin. I don't want to ride through deep mud. Lol Gees. Love my `22 750. Suzuki you did a great job IMO.
Why do people expect every quad to be a race quad? Not everybody wants to tear through the woods at 100mph.
If you're in the market for a Japanese quad and want some power to go along with it, you ain't gonna find it in Red, Blue, or Yellow. It's in Green, and it's called a Brute Force!
utah wanderlust700 sad thing is the king quad is just as fast
Well then someone else just got themselves one hell of a bike
I ride the same trails as you do. My 500 handles it with no problems
Nice Review, we have two of em and so far love these machines.
They say changing weights on clutch and a shim fixes some of that laggy low end.
These guys sound like they are describing a homicide. I have a Suzuki thats 30 years old and its worth more than I paid for it. In 30 years their Can Am will be in the junk yard.
Try like in 7 years it will be scrap metal
1 Grizzly
2 Kingquad
The Polaris is good too but only for a year or two. Both will turn 27 inch tires, and both have about the same size seat.
Soooo basically, same old king quad 😆
At least with the King quad you have the reliability. Not something that is going to leave you in aww, but an overall good reliable machine.
I love mine.
Thanks for the nice video! I’m looking at a King Quad or a Grizzly for 2022. Did you do any reviews on the ‘22 Grizzly’s?
Absolutely. Click to my channel and search "Grizzly". Don't buy a Kingquad without watching my Grizzly videos! :) Happy trails!
I love my king quad. Mine just took a poop but it was my fault. I failed to check oil. It ran low and scared the cylinder the Piston and the cam and cam jernals are toasted. Along with the timing chain guide.
Like the video and the quad, considering buying one.
Have you reviewed the Polaris 850? Just curious which you prefer. Thanks!
Yes, I've ridden just about everything... The Polaris has more power, but in my opinion the KingQuad is a way smarter purchase, even smarter is a Yamaha Grizzly.
Go with the king quad . Better deal then a grizzly
Lose the garbage stocker tires. The bump steer almost goes completely away.
I've heard this.
how quiet are these riding at slow to medium speed? Not wide open.
very quiet, my father just got one and it is a pleasure to ride, not too loud, not too stiff, not too crazy, just a perfect trail bike that will last for ages
Is it still a good buy for $10k in 2021 ?
Yes nothing's cheap anymore. If you can wait you might find a decent used one over the winter, but even used prices are ridiculous now days.
Great quad great review!
Excellent job sir. One thing I really wanted to hear was the oil dipstick access. Another, which I didn’t hear was the pull start. My 07 has it. Does the 2019 have it ?
No there isn't a backup pull starter.
Should of just got a racing 4 wheeler if you going to treat it like that. But for people just wanting to do trails and farm work. Some of the best trails I’ve been on is at Brown Mountain OHV trails in Morganton, NC.
Okay.
These kingquads are built to last.
vevohoeyo can ams seem way over priced and i heard they are always in the shop getting fixed ide rather buy the king
My friend beat the living shit out of his brand new Polaris sportsman in six months worse then my Honda that’s been around for over 20 years but I live in Alaska
It's because your polarity is reversed down the there. On this side of the earth they work just fine!
Put it in a barn. Wash the quad once a week. Change oils twice a year. Idiot. Replace belt twice a year. Polaris will ladt awhile
You certainly put that thing through it's paces. That's what a corporate test ride look like.
looks like a good ride?! maybe suspension too soft!?
the steering problem i noticed when i got it but i changed tires, and its never jerked me again
I beat the absolute snot out of my 2017 kq 750 on the trails and it thanks me for it, and it works hard and it does mud well. Great machine, it will keep up with big bore atvs all day on the trails, the only way they will leave you behind is on an open road and who wants to ride an atv on that?
Vdi , muffler , and clutching makes this quad bad ass.
Does your king quad clutch is noise? I have a 08 450 king quad but the cvt clutch is noise. It’s run fine but I am not sure if that can be something loose or broken or is normal in this ATVs?
it's normal for em to have a bit of a whine to em
1700 miles and 0 issues. A buddy has a 750 just like mine and he broke a tie rid but that was his fault. Lol

Go brute force 750, only Japanese reliability v-twin quad out there. Tested em all, brute was the way, no regrets and they got a revised model this year. The power is INSANE compared to these singles.
I ride the same way on my 08 King Quad. I hope it’s not mushy like most atv’s are now.
I'm happy with my 2011 kingquad power steering 750 and not like those rainbows colors of can am that people buy just for the look and no performance in the trail!
and the shocks on max preload is almost impossible to bottom out them junts are stiff as shit, they come and second to least preload
I love mine. Same machine you are looking at. I uploaded some videos 9n the trails last week.
No brake in time for it?
Thanks for the reply, good getting your input.
I personally wouldn't spend 20k on a quad..overpriced in my opinion
@@mcham0846 where you getting quads for 20k you’re getting screwed right in the butt
I’d take this over the Yamaha simply because of the shaft drive.
Buddy is riding the crap outta that thing
Right now. Grizz or this unit. ? And Why?
This for sure the Suzuki is a better built bike in my opinion
Ture dat Honda is top notch Suzuki aint far behind in dependability though
You're asking them to change the whole segment. That's kind of foolish, just ask them to make a 4x4 race machine. Can't turn those big tires? It has how many horse power? Ask for a super 4x4 mud/race quad. That one is supposed to be fast.
Thank you ! Great video
Can am are over priced
