⚠As a correction: Bambu Lab states that they WILL cover return shipping costs, which is great news! They're really doing a lot to address this issue and makeup for any inconvenience customers are facing, so kudos to Bambu Lab. 👍
I got a X1C and the printer is on another level for sure. I bet the P1P and P1S are like the X1C as far as print quality. The main drawback of the A1 I saw after owning it a while is the AMS is open air and if you live in humid climate that's not good.@@Untitleduser604
Keeping my A1. Even though I purchased it at MicroCenter I was able to file a support ticket with Bambu Labs to get a replacement heat bed. The way I understood it, if I had gone through MicroCenter the rebate would only be good for Bambu lab products at MC, which is basically printers and hardware for the printers. Through Bambu I can use the rebate for filament as well.
Wow Your video is really well done. I was going to get one but then Bambu issued the recall. I bought an Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro for $259 instead. Eventually I will buy a Bambu printer. I have been printing since 2016 and printers keep getting faster and better. Looing forward to your videos.
Thanks for watching! I hope the Neptune 4 Pro is working out well for you. I nearly bought one of those instead of the A1 a while back, so I'm the opposite of you 😄
This was the first video I’ve seen from your channel. And just by the quality of video I thought you were well over hundred thousand subscribers. Well done keep up the good work.
That sounds like great service by a very responsible company to me. It encourages me to buy Bambu Lab for my next FDM printer. And well done video by the way. Just got my sub.
I’ll be holding onto mine. Swapping the heat bed and cable looks pretty easy. Plus the $120 voucher will go toward filament. Keep up the great work Rohan!!
Thanks for watching! I agree. The replacement seems pretty straight forward and the credit can get me new nozzles or something, so it seems like a good choice.
Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoy your new 3d printer. I found that fixes actually make this machine better than it was before. The new heatbed construction is solid.
Bought my A1 combo at Microcenter, when I contacted them they insisted I return the printer for a full refund. I returned it to Microcenter and got the X1C with AMS unit, I can say there are a few things I miss about my A1 though. I will always miss the simple nozzle changes on the A1, miss my minion face extruder cover with eye that went around as the extruder extruded and lastly I had customized the song the printer played when you started the printer and a print job finished. I don't think I can do this with the X1C and will miss those things with my A1.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate hearing your perspective as someone's who's returned their A1 and upgraded to an X1C. Those upgrades you did to the A1 aso sound cool! I didn't even realize the jiggle could be customized.
Also trustttt me, i have the a1 mini and its incredible. I dont recommend any other printer since i got this one. Its super smooth, quite and has ton of features like the a1
Good luck getting the bed replacement. Bambu will absolutely not support this recall or replacement in any way! I have an original A1 and its out of service due to the bed problem. They won't fix it, they wont support it, I'm stuck with a $700 loss on this printer.
Where do you go from here if you're an A1 owner? For me it was check the cables on my A1's and continue printing. If I were concerned, I would buy some braided cable of a heavier duty and replace the existing one. As it stands, we're only about one month (late March starts one month from now) from them shipping out the new beds. I wouldn't go with the Kobra 2 Pro until watching the video just dropped by Fauxhammer. It's not good. If you want a different bedslinger, the Ender 3 V3 should be available momentarily and it's already getting a lot of buzz. I think the A1 Mini is an excellent printer, but the bed is too small for my use case. Subscribed.
Thanks for the sub! I'm with you all the way. I was considering getting a substitute, but the end of March isn't far away. I've installed the cable protector already so that should help. I just wouldn't operate the machine unattended or leave the house with the printer running considering the recall.
I was so extremely close to buy the A1 but last second i changed my mind and purchased the P1S. First time I made the right decision. On the other hand as an electrical engineer I probalby wouldnt give a f XD
Did you reach out again? When it comes to larger companies you should only be patient up to 3 days. And then proceed with follow up emails every 3 days. Hope they get back to you. They seem to be taking it quite professionally.
@@happydr_ dang! Yea if not by Wednesday. Once more. And perhaps see if there’s other ways to contact them. I’m not too sure of bambus methods of contact.
The full recall bullshit is really annoying, just use the damn thing if your cable is fine and keep it in check. Nothing dangerous. You also completely misread the original part of the issues.

Should I wait for the nonexistent date of the return of the A1, or should I buy a Mini or P1P?

haven't seen this channel, but on first impressions this channel seemed like a channel with over 100,000 subscribers. Very high quality video.
Thank you for the support and kind words!
Haha I had the same thought, I definitely got some @Coldfusion vibes, but with only 0.0029% of the amount of subscribers. Mans on a mission
@@mathijsalkemade87 same :D
how does this man not have 1 million subscribers, because this channel definitely deserves it. great vid.
Thanks for the support! I really appreciate it.

I might take the risk and use till parts are available
👌Good stuff!
Thanks for supporting!
Pfft. Mine runs around the clock. I took the $120 and I'll keep the heat bed as spare part.
You may be right. We will find out soon enough@@opiegonebad58
Creatorrific: another good video. Thanks for following up with the safety. Very well done.
Thanks for supporting!
Get a prusa and never worry about quality control recalls ever again.
Get 7 ender 3's for the price of one prusa and have a print farm putting out the same quality and a better value
My Prusa MK3 is my tried and true but there is something so awesome and fun about a Bambu printer. Either way, enjoy printing, guys.
fanboying for a business is crazy
bambu labs do provide packaging and they pay for postage........
Oh shoot, wish I'd known before. Thanks. I'll pin a correction in the comments.
Another one jumping onto the A1 recall.
I submitted my return on February 4th and havent heard a word from Bambu
