This side view is soooo helpful. I really notice how his upper body leans into the court in his ready position, and he also has a very shut racquet face (meaning he doesn’t need to manipulate it to shut it in the foreword swing). I already had a pretty big forehand, but just leaning into the court sets a player up for added mph…very noticeable.
Wow, when you watch him in slow motion, you can see what a powerful forehand he really has! And on the majority of them, his feet are completely off the ground! He's an amazing player and a lovely guy, and I wish him well for 2025 ❤
Probably a Gravity but since he is sponsored by Wilson he has to paint his racquet in black so that the other brand isn’t getting any profit. Again I’m not sure it’s the gravity but the form of the racquet sure looks like it
Mine, too. Been a fan since 2015. Am actually learning Russian due to him . Not young anymore so it's s hard going but am inspired by his hard work myself. Have u watched his RT video? Such honesty & vulnerability, makes me like him even more.
Ofcourse he is a super player and I have nothing against him.. however rublev invests a lot of his kinetic chain into fwd momentum and oftentimes misses his booming FH in the net becoz his net clearance is low... Also when the opponents move him around his running FH isn't as vicious.. which again shows he tends to hit a flattish ball 🎾
It doesn't look like he spins the ball at all. It looks like all of these shots should hit the top of the fence. I can't believe he ever makes one, but he does. Many of them.
Why they all hit their forehand just below the center"sweet spot"?? Dont tell me it just happens cause these guys slap around 10.000 ball a week for years
Something about the twist force that is imparted on the raquet helps with the spin thats kinda freely given by having the raquet flutter down a touch on impact. When you mean down from the sweet spot im guessing you mean below the center while swinging, so kinda more to the 3 or 6 clock side of the hoop is nearest the ground at impact.
It’s how you maximize topspin. Check out this video fro Racquet Tech th-cam.com/video/bVz3taiFJnA/w-d-xo.html . You’re right, it’s not by accident. The other guys response in this thread is a pretty good description.

Is that considered a WTA forehand?
*Andrey my favorite tennis player!!!*
Just gets upto it and smacks it! 💪
Mine, too ! Been following him for 6 years since I saw him on tv.
Same here but also like thiem

Needs his signature "BWEH!" for full effect.
😂😂👍

This man is dangerous
My favourite player, and I play naturally like him, hitting forehand as hard as possible
Brute of a forehand. It's like they've taken Del Potro's V8 forehand and attached a supercharger to it.
I was here because a video said the ATP forehand must have the strings face down during the lag. So thank you for this 😆
02:03 this is called "madeirada" in portuguese.
its so clear to see how he keeps the wrist in a stable position and not actively propels the ball using it.
Is it a straight arm or a bent arm forehand ?
Looks like he switches between both
Can you guys break down his forehand on your main channel?
Great idea we will do a video on it soon hopefully!
Is it a eastern or semi western grip that he uses?
Looks more like a very strong semi western, nearly a full western
Looks like a kariponats grip
its semiwestern, i dont think its very strong, a bit closer to the eastern side. which suits his slightly flatter shot trajectory
Didnt know that this is what you hear in slo mo
Every player sounds different...
Not a lot of racquet lag but still a devastating forehand ! Quite similar to Tsitsipas's swing.
Rublev actually has good forehand racket lag. You can’t see it the best from this angle
And you can actually see it good from this angle so idk what crack your smoking.
Sweet music awesome vid
What’s his string set up? Lynx tour???
Luxilon Adrenaline I believe
BWEEHHHH!!!!
Anyone know what grip he uses on forehand
It seems between semi western and full western.
3:59 he is a human afterall..
Rublev's forehand is underrated.
what racket does he play?

It looks like pro staff.
@@96alpha46 no it isn’t a pro staff. He is sponsored by Wilson and the pro staff is made by Wilson also, so he wouldn’t paint it in all black.
RUBLEV amazing forehand my favorite player i am from russia

I just imagined very slow Bbbbwwweeehhh... 😆
Definitely yes
He does have a big game!
Textbook footwork!
Does he use the western grip??
From what I can see it does look to be a fully western Grip, possibly just a bit towards the semi-western.
rtmordecai1 it’s not western for sure. More toward eastern and semi western. Look at still images on google
he changes his forhand now
3:55 SHANK!!
only non CHADs clicked the dislike button. Who would dislike the BWEH?
Fucsovics
Can Rublev become world no.1?
Rubelev,Medvedev and zverev has chances
@@c.m.harishprashanth8596 what do you think of Felix Auger Aliassime and Jannik Sinner also some young prospects
Na medvedev is gonna be no 1
@@iraqibrothers2091 you know more one person can become no1 in no area there was only one dude. Be open minded and understand the sport better
@@redennah1467 im gonna be no 1 mark my word ill proof you wrong
He needs to shorten swing a little and stay grounded. If he can place the serve with pace, he can contend!
Good observation, he also seems to hit quite flat so may struggle against players with a good low slice, although he did beat Fed!
@@LoveTennisOfficial do you play? My dream would be Federer Nadal and Djokovic all retire with 20 grand slams!
@@LoveTennisOfficial During the ATP Cup this week, he was eating up the slices. The slower ball gave him plenty of time to set up for an explosive FH!
Love Tennis what’s his forehand grip?
@@bournejason66 semi western
