Your "Art Of" videos are elite tier. Thank you for your dedication. Love the new intro as well. Your tutorials have helped me immensely. Looks like I have to get back to playing Smash again lol.
I doubt anyone is going to see this but, I've been wanting to play this character for soo long, but I've never been good at fighting games, this helped me out so much, thank you❤
Honestly I started playing Ken like 3 days ago watched alot of jahzzo over the past year or so and always thought Ken looked so hype I love the shotos now getting around to playing Ken I have been having a blast
I genuinely didn't know you could hold neutral to not shoryuken off the ledge. I've just been doing the light version to not go too far. (And usually I end up dying when I don't press fast enough) That and using medium shoryu to beat SDI in is going to be incredibly helpful going forward.
Been watching the "art of" for years, and been watching you since brawl. I remember looking up best falcon vs best link when I was 11 in the brawl days and found one of your sets and was blown away.
I really hope you're able to finish this series!! I began a Gamer's Club at my school and my students have been watching these videos to study their characters. We love your content and learn so much from you!!
Your guides are truly on another level. Videos are so easy to understand and complicated at the same time. Insane work. Can't wait to see more of these!
I liked Ken a lot when the game launched, but i never bother trying to learn the imputs and the moves by myself. Now the great Izaw has spoken. I can try him for real this time! Keep up the good work friend! :)
Yeah its really cool how he doesnt just teach you how to play the character, he also gives advice on how to deal with things if youre fighting against them
I hope you continue the series, I just got into smash and your vids are really helping me pick up the game and I would love to see a complete art of for everyone.
I'm a Ken main and this video was just spectacular, wow. I've felt like my game was just missing a piece to the puzzle to take it to the next level, and this video laid everything out for me. This was so helpful and genuinely just really well done, thank you
Long time viewer here ! I think that despite viewership going down, it is also due to content being less frequent these last month (Art of Kirby was 8 months ago). I think that going for a more popular character and less complex (so that you can make it faster than technical characters) will probably help bring viewership up for the following videos (if they are frequent enough). Probably something like an Art of Bowser or Ganondorf, you get the idea (not a Bowser or Ganon main, so I try to be purely objective here). I think it's more of a posting strategy problem rather than a loss of interest from the viewers :) About the video itself : it's a good one, as thorough as it can be, Thanks for your dedication on this, I'll personally keep watching the art of, no matter the character, it is just really interesting to learn about the diverse characters of the game.
Nice to see this video come out after Ryu's. Ken is really cool, but the lack of QCF Crazy Kick and the infamous knee bash throw makes him feel incomplete? idk. Out of the fighting game characters, which one is the hardest to learn? And which one is hardest to master?
these videos are genuinely the best resource for smash ultimate anywhere. that being said: if it's not financially viable, you're a genuinely really good and entertaining content creator, and it would be really cool to see you branch out maybe into different games or types of content
Since you mentioned in the beginning of the video that smash content is getting progressively less popular, you could do traditional fighting game content, especially street fighter. Street fighter 6 is just around the corner so many people will be looking for guides and it is also a fighting game so there is a high chance that you could keep your pre-existing audience as well as bringing new viewers in. If you choose to start making traditional fighting game content I highly recommend you do bread and butter combo guides for street fighter 6 since people will be flocking to combo guides as soon as the game releases.
I don't know why, because I'm a main Falcon, but this video show me how cool Ken can be, even if it's hard to work with. At least, I guess I m gonna try him a little and watch how I m feeling with Ken controller in hand. Thank you for your excellent video Izaw
I went from maining Lil Mac to ryu, but now I switch between ken and Terry. I just enjoy their moveset more. For the sheild break combos you mention heavy up tilt, Ive found heavy proximity jab to be more consistent and also if they drop sheild after the 1st light up tilt it doesn't knock them up in the air so you will just continue the combo.
FYI: Ken's shieldbreak combo is useless outside of the corner because the opponent can shield SDI away, making the final hit whiff and leaving Ken punishable.
Please do the Art of Incineroar been waiting since the game released. He's my main and there's not a lot of guides on him. I stopped playing the game for a while and now I'm back on it and still not a lot of Incineroar guides to get me back in shape. Especially none recently.
While I don’t have the money to help, I just wanna say I’ve been watching you for like 3 years. Not only has the content always been top notch but the editing and visuals have never stopped improving.
I assume your referring to an arcade stick. Probably not… Form most sticks they have 8 buttons, and the stick itself. The stick is actually 4 levers under the hood that output cardinal directions. This is because Non smash fighting games use digital inputs rather than floating point values for stick position. you can think about it like a d-pad -> 4 directions + diagonals. Unless you use something like smashbox’s modifiers you will not be able to get anything but, 45 degree, full tilt inputs. That would be the main issue. TLDR; yes technically but, not very well due to aRcade stick being only able to input 8 directions.
Really nice video ! I would actualy love more specific things about edge guarding with ken but everything was fine ! And those gameplays damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn ! kiss from france
Ken is a fun character to play and his difficulty is rewarding. Although I find the inputs fun most of the time I sometimes have problems doing a running Hadouken without doing Shoryuken and accidental special inputs in general.
if you want to do a running hadouken, reset your stick to neutral before doing the input, and to avoid doing special moves on accident in general just use the c stick more
It’s a shame to see smash content dying. I guess it makes sense since now the game is “finished” and no new content is going to come out for it but it still makes me sad
Right, so I’ve been watching you for years now. I got the means to support you now, so I will. You’re a big reason I take this game seriously. OSU 🤛🏻 🔥 🥋
I do find it funny u said Smash Content isn't sustainable. there was a 6 month gap in between Kerby and Ryu. Maybe a consistent schedule will help? I'm not trying to talk trash, but if someone doesn't care about Kerby or Ryu/Ken they don't watch this year. Your vids are the best in smash always high quality editing and info I truly don't want you to think I don't appreciate you.
If you're wondering how to input medium shoryu in the air, you can double tap the a button to input it. But be weary as the timing is somewhat strict as you may input light or heavy shoryu instead.
I love these videos. Like u said, I’ve been playing on and off for a while now and ur videos have helped me a lot. My roommates at college even got into it and they’re trying their best but it’s very confusing for them, especially playing against some of their friends who have quick play, they just don’t compare. Besides that, messing around and just over having a good time with items and supers is a given, but getting curb stomped in a 1v1 vs any character does get old when the “basics” of this game are so hard to grasp.

I saw it :)
yayyy
Sameee
This character opened me up to wanting to learn street fighter well enough to return to smash and play him better.
Haha. We all saw it.
I love how the first Ken clip I more focused on Fatality's DI🤣
(I love Fatality tho)
I’ve been waiting for this one😭😭😭

Honestly I started playing Ken like 3 days ago watched alot of jahzzo over the past year or so and always thought Ken looked so hype I love the shotos now getting around to playing Ken I have been having a blast
You and me both I just became a Ken main a bit before this video went up
This might be the best Ken Guide I’ve ever seen. Good shit man. Subbed.
I genuinely didn't know you could hold neutral to not shoryuken off the ledge. I've just been doing the light version to not go too far. (And usually I end up dying when I don't press fast enough) That and using medium shoryu to beat SDI in is going to be incredibly helpful going forward.
Yea right stick has to go back ro neutral same with terry power dunk and ryu shoryuken

actually it's the opposite 6:51 if you land the sweet-spot of the foot it's quite powerful I've done it before it KOs at reasonable percents
These "Art of" videos are top tier. Even though I don't play Smash much now, these videos are still immensely satisfying to watch

Nice to see this video come out after Ryu's.

Always supporting you on Patreon and through coaching lessons. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to your students, your work, etc.
i love watching these videos as if im ever gonna play these characters at all
I would *LOVE* for a breakdown on Mega Man. Unfortunately, there aren't many good ones online. 😒
I’ve played ssbu super casually for the last 3 years. Always avoided learning the street fighters…until I saw some ken gameplay. He looks fun lol

Shoto main here, at 6:00 I'm so guilty of having this habit after finishing a stock that I needed to learn this lmaoo thank you for the tip
Thank you so much for making this, ken is one of my favourite characters to play
Once I revert to an egg, I must bury myself underground for three years. There, my form matures.
I went from maining Lil Mac to ryu, but now I switch between ken and Terry. I just enjoy their moveset more.

WHAT!! I didn’t know you were making this!! I was so hyped from Art of Ryu, this just made my day
You helped me get better with Roy! Thank you
FYI: Ken's shieldbreak combo is useless outside of the corner because the opponent can shield SDI away, making the final hit whiff and leaving Ken punishable.
As a ken main i NEEDED this
Please do the Art of Incineroar been waiting since the game released. He's my main and there's not a lot of guides on him. I stopped playing the game for a while and now I'm back on it and still not a lot of Incineroar guides to get me back in shape. Especially none recently.

I wish someday there will be an art of Joker, the caracter is dense and his gameplay is so enjoyable
While I don’t have the money to help, I just wanna say I’ve been watching you for like 3 years. Not only has the content always been top notch but the editing and visuals have never stopped improving.
I've always wondered if the Street Fighter characters could actually be played fairly well with a fight pad/control stick in Smash.
I'm so excited for this! I've always wanted one of these.
I was waiting for this!!!
Keep them up man! You will always have my views, bro.
Really nice video ! I would actualy love more specific things about edge guarding with ken but everything was fine ! And those gameplays damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn ! kiss from france
Ken's combos for shield break are so cool but they're really hard compared to ryu's forward tilt shield break.
Keep it coming brother!!! Wish I was financially able to support the smash scene so much more...
ryu and ken have always been anomalies to me. thanks for the best smash videos on yt izaw 🥰
Your music choice is awesome. Reminiscent of Rust in Peace era Megadeth.
Since competing offline I dropped Ken but imma work on bringing em back
Also I was wondering whether or not you do TH-cam full time. If not, what do you do?
You gonna play the new street fighter? 👀
I thought I was gunna wait another year Lool. 🙏 thank you once again!!
Please do Art of Ice Climbers! Or finish the How to Desync series lol.
I love ryu and ken in this game also terry
I have one question: during combo’s, do you use the true tatsumaki or just the normal version?
Thank you very much this video helped alot
Those highlight combo strings were juicy
Hello izaw
Good video, bro
I just wanted to know how to get that suzaku castle at night

Who the hell is Kerby
I think he meant kirby lmao@@gluessb
Hey man I enjoy this thank you, I already run through every friend group I have. Now I got more fuel😈
Little mac can still punish all of the tatsu variants because jab is frame 1 and f-tilt is frame 4. pain.
Please keep it up man I love this series
How can i cancel Ken's focus in the Air?
whats the difference between his parry and shield?
Why do people call Ken's spinning heel kick a round house kick?
You deserve more my man… Great video!
We get the fast and in your face world warrior
I dont get how his tilts work. Sometimes it's the kick or it might be the elbow
it depends how close you are, far ftilt is the kick, close ftilt is the elbow
Yoooo we get Ken aswell!
Us shoto mains are eating
Que bueno ver a AndresFN como ejemplo en este video, es uno de los mejores Ken del mundo
I’ve been looking forward to this
Izaw, how much do you charge for these series? I want an Art of Sephiroth
Izaw already made one for Sephiroth: th-cam.com/video/dndykqb1xVA/w-d-xo.html
@Andre Baxter that was like a brief DLC series when he first came out. I would a more complete version
I’ve been waiting for an Art of Ganondorf
Is there going to be an art of little mac?
Can you do olimar next, I think he's very underrated and has a lot of cool techs and tricks.
any tricks for reliably hitting aerial medium shoryu?
