Tbh in a community where players often lack knowledge or understanding of FGC terminology it’s never a bad thing to fully explain the concept. That said it was pretty incredible.
Captain Falcon is such a fun character to watch. His comboes and physics defying moves are just silly whether it's landing an endless series of bicycle kicks in a fraction of a second or sending someone flying with a casual tap of his knee. Add the cherry on top of him smugly saluting after destroying you to the sound of "SHOW YA MOVES" just makes him my favorite.
TUME 1 I haven’t really played a lot of my good characters since they’ve just been chilling in elite for a bit, but any time I just play a random character to try them out I run into these Falcons that always go for down throw knee and shit like that every time despite me DI’ing away and it never hitting. I guess it’s just me getting annoying seeing people go for stuff with my main that just isn’t a thing at all. Idk could just be a me problem where I just get annoyed seeing them do my boy like that.
Like I don’t have any issue with people playing him, and it’s cool that people want to pick up the character, but it just gets a bit annoying having to play against noob Falcons a lot. Hopefully this video helps people though.

I like how this guide focuses more on gameplay rather than the raw attributes of the character like many of the old guides did. I've been playing Falcon for a few years and there are things in this that I didnt think of, and it's very helpful 👍

The problem with each Smash tutorial is, that they don't show you on screen the most important. THE CONTROLLER! It's really important to know the real time buttons sequence.
So many options I didn't even think of with this character and I've been playing him since Sm4sh. This will be a great guide while practicing in the future.
About raptor boost combos, If you use Tap jump you can buffer a frame perfect double jump by hitting the stick up and a jump button at the same time, making it way easier

Some Info that I think is important: -Falcon’s turn around is abysmal. Keep your back to your opponent if you want to be able to weave out of range effectively, and rush back in with options that don’t need the turn, like Raptor Boost. -Falcon’s Usmash can do almost twice the amount of damage if you cleanly hit the first kick, as in anti-airing or attacking from below a platform. -Falcon has a lot of hard techniques that allow for some crazy shit, like speeding up the Turn Around animation and being *plus on block*.

When I was little I was a fan of racing after playing Mario Kart. I remember when I was playing Melee, I had no idea who was Captain Falcon. That one day I had the Gamecube demo disc with demos like Sonic Adventure. I remember there was a game trailer on the list that was F-ZERO. In my thought after the trailer, I looks so fun that it made me want to buy the game. That was moment I realized who is Falcon since I saw his Blue Falcon in the trailer. I don't remember how I got the game but after playing it for a long time, I literally enjoyed it, like so much that it became my favorite racing game of my life. That's where Captain Falcon became my favorite Nintendo character after playing F-Zero, and realizing how cool he is back in Melee. Nintendo! HD remake or not, plz port F-Zero GX to the Switch cuz I miss playing it so much
Good video, only thing that would've been better is elaborating on the weak hitbox of knee for edge gaurding, his disadvantage state, what to look out for, and how tilts are extremely good for tech chases especially with sliding tilts.

I love C. Falcon he can be as good or as bad as you play it. The potential to beat high tier characters with skill and style is hype. This character is all about the player potential.
Anyone who thinks Falcon isn’t high-tier after 8.0 will get Falcon Kicked in the nads. Sure his disadvantage state is bad but I like to think that’s to balance out his rushdown playstyle. Man has combos out the ass!!
I use falcons back air to edge guard and in neutral a lot. I want to be able to use it more in combos but It just seems too hard to execute. Do you have any tips for easily doing combos like downthrow or raptor boost to back air? I usually do just do like nair or up air out of those moves

I main Falcon and quick play/elite has been annoying lately. Now it’s just gonna be more annoying.
