      1. I think he went way too dense and forward for a young guy. (He could have retained some modest recessions, a natural look.)
      2. I'm surprised the Doctor, who knows he went heavy, is now proposing 400-500 more grafts, especially since he's not taking Finasteride. Add 100 single grafts and forget it.
      3. He could be quite thin / bald at 45, with this thick 1" band up front.
      4. He really should have waited another 5 years, and gotten on medical treatment. (This reminds of a Clip I saw where the dude has had 9-10 HT, and he's late 40s with no donor supply left.)

    Another difference between oral and topical finasteride and minoxidil is that oral administration has to be metabolized by your liver to get to your bloodstream. If you don't want to stress your liver for the rest of your life, I'd lean towards topicals.

    When it comes to "I've seen so many people online complain about X", I think it's important to realize that people are going to tend to want to vent about negative experiences online, whereas people having positive experiences are more likely to just go about their day. The result is the impression that *everyone* is having a bad experience with X.

      @user-so6yr7wc2t just take 0.25mg of finasteride every other day (it's enough to make it work) and you are almost 100% sure not to get side effects from that low dose !
      And when you feel confortable with finasteride : slowly increase the dose to 0.5mg and then 1mg a day.
      That's what I did. I've now been on finasteride 1mg a day for almost 2 years and I have no side effects whatsoever! 🙃
      The key is just to " let your body get used to the drug " so you should go little by little not to shock your body.
      Aside from that : go to the gym, eat as healthy as possible, don't overthink about the " side effects " as you might nocebo yourself etc... and you will be 100% fine on finasteride !
      Hope it helps 😉

    Hi Dr. Gary! Just started following your channel recently. I love the in depth walk through videos you are putting out. I am doing some research on hair transplants (as I am considering one in the future) and came across something referred to as Sapphire FUE. Which apparently is where they use blades made from gemstones instead of regular steel blades. They claim it reduces the risk of complications such as trauma and scalp tissue damage, that tissue recovery will be quicker and that you may achieve a higher density than with steel blades. Is this something you have any experience with or can weigh in on?

    Suggesting 700 grafts for that tiny strip is crazy considering that would take him to about half of the total donor supply of an average male. Its already a lot of grafts for a small area at a young age. I was advised by a brilliant clinic that I would need about 700/800 for both temples and they were very cautious about using too many grafts early on.

Maybe there is some complex communication going on. I had 3 fairly large bumps (from golf cap sweat bacteria I believe) removed and it fairly quickly became impossible to see that it was ever cut. Aside from the nerve damage it was quite good.

The doctor told me that a second transplant would be needed anyway to cover the back as well but I feel like the difference is no negligible that I might just give up on it... What are the common reasons for a "not really noticeable results" from a hair transplant? And to clarify I took a world renown surgeon in the USA for tons of money so I assume its not the surgeons fault.

    Was wondering about your opinion on an interesting n unusual combination of DHI pen, but with the channel opening. The advantage is that a doctor (not technician) do the opening the channels (Dr Serkan does nothing, anyone can do the drawing). It's a clever idea bc the clinic can be,, cheaper,, compared to the ones in which a doctor does most of it, but still it's as if a doctor did everything as putting the hair in once the opening was done by the DHI pen is not that difficult for experienced technicians. They do it in Thailand n the results looks stunning. In my opinion they do the most natural hairline I've ever seen, bc micro macro irregularities are done so perfectly. I can DM the clinic, I was told:
    ,, The DHI is modified so that we can work faster. The implanter pen we use is blunt tip. So that we can use nurses to do the job on 2 sides at the same time. The nurse will only have to put the hair back into the holes that the doctor made. The direction, angle and density will be just like how doctor designed during the premade incision step. We will still get other benefits from the implanter pens like the protection of the hair follicles etc.,

    It's funny - I've been on Finasteride for a little over a year (14 months) and have no sides. When I started to use it - my sex drive/horniness did shoot up. On the other hand - I've had to stop using Minoxidil because of side effects (twice now) - headaches, pressure between my nose and eyes, and raised resting heart rate - from 48bpm to 65bpm.

    • @ExNihilo634
      @ExNihilo634 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are only supposed to use 1mg doses of minoxidil 1 to 2 times per day. Is it possible that you are not measure your minoxidil? It’s hard to do with the foam. Using the liquid formula with a syringe is better. People often use way more than they realize and it effects your heart.

    Hi Dr Linkov
    I’m not sure if you’ve already released a video or some form of media on this yet but I see Brett wore a bucket hat to protect his head from after the 1st month of his procedure and also heard you mention that from about 2 - 3 weeks one may wear hats as they normally would.
    In previous videos I recall you mentioning that straight after the procedure as well as in the early days of one requires or choose to wear a hat that it must be lose fitting so as to not disturb the newly transplanted hairs. The hat I have seen is for this is what looks like surgical caps.
    My question is: are there hats, other than the surgical caps, that you recommend or believe are safe for one to wear in the early stages of recovery as a way for people to feel confident and more comfortable walking out and about without showing their head?

    • @awh4272
      @awh4272 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can wear a hat after 14 days after hair transplant just be sure there is not too much pressure on the newly Implanted grafts. Even a cap is allowed just make sure the strip doesn't sit on the new grafts recipient area.

    like do i really have to take finasteride wouldnt minoxidil be enough? the side effects of fin really cooled off my hopes of getting a hairtransplant or was it just gibberish ? really hope you answer to my questions ✌

    The pattern of grafting showcased here is based on bad assumptions. The hair behind the horseshoe grafts will invaraibly thin and prospectively recede, this client will need to maintain a regimen of 1mg of FIN and 5% Minox and also hope there is enough donor hair for future work on the crown.

I'd rather have it all thick if I ever needed it instead of having a "gray" strip that looks like doll's hair. Sorry. 😬

    Is there any legitimacy to Dutasteride being better at regrowing hair than Finasteride? I've been on oral Minoxidil and Finasteride for 18 months, they've really slowed down my diffuse thinning/chronic telogen effluvium but I'd love to see more regrowth before considering a transplant if possible.
