I think this is a person who is never satisfied. I look at this first result and think "I would like to look this good." I will be looking for my Turkey clinic real soon for a test run. My temples are gone, but my crown is non existent. Got an empty space the size of my fist and been this way for almost 10 years now. I know I will never get great density back there, so I am just going to take back the hairline an inch or two first, fill in the temples (Lightly) and see how it looks. I know I've got good doner hair in the back, but also a thick full beard and lost of long body hair, front, back legs arms you name it. So if the transplant looks good first time round, and I want to fill in the rest, I will go for it. Been putting this off too long now. And at 41, I think its now or never.

This is me in the video. Let me clarify a few things. Firstly I’m very happy with my Hair after Dr Balls repair. It has been quite a while since this show and it looks natural. Even more so the relief of stress has resulted in a much slower rate of native hair loss. I couldn’t be happier. About ny first transplant in Turkey. I walked in and a doctor just drew a line and showed me a mirror. I immediately said it’s too low. (I have done a lot of research and knew the risk with going too low) So he drew another line, further up which we agree on. I was then chucked in a room with what appeared to be teenagers and the work started. Once finished, they showed me a mirror and then I saw they did the original line. So from the start I never got the hairline I Agreed! After the scabs come off I could immediately see the poor density per cm2. Hence why I took a photo with a tape measure at the forehead. the grafts at the front were multi graphs. Like I mentioned I did my research and I knew that this would result in the plug look appearance. Which it did! I then went to a U.K. clinic and the doctor said he could repair it, but instead only thickens the hairline. No option to remove the graphs and like DR Ball did. Again the U.K. based clinic ended up with a similar feeling to Turkey. One doctor over several rooms and a team of very young technicians. Not a single microscope used or in sight. When I asked how many graphs were used etc. they looked at me in confusion. Once it started to grow, hairs growing in unnatural directions, thick multi-graphs at the front, sporadic density. I knew I was done. I shaved my head and went for SMP. SMP actually gave it such a good coverage and look that the hair looked great from a few feet away. But up close you could see with absolutely no doubt, it was botched. This is what Dr Ball repaired and for that I am very greatful. Believe me when I say, those that think it looked great before, the SMP did this. But the low hairline is never what I wanted. Dr Ball did what I wanted and I only wear a hat the odd day for choice. Not to Hide. This is just a cutdown version of my journey. This is just a cutdown version of my journey. I’ve added an email to my channel description for those who wish to message outside of social media. I know many people are in similar or worst situations. Happy to help in any way I can.
So basically you got a lower hairline with less density than a more mature hairline with proper density. That's good to know, the problem with this clinics in Turkey is that they transplant an insane number of grafts in one single mega session which not only increases risk of infection and requires more anesthesia, but also takes more from your donor area than probably needed. So you end up with less resources if your alopecia keeps moving forward and you need a second transplant. This will probably be seen more in 10-20 years from now when people that got a transplant there are now getting bald in the mid scalp or crown and need another transplant but the donor area is not gonna be suitable for it. I went to a clinic and would transplant no more than 3k grafts per session. So if you need another procedure you need to wait, heal up and get it done, maybe it's a more conservative approach but it does future proof your donor area. That's something to consider. Thanks for sharing bro!
@@RyugaChan couldn’t agree more. Need to be conservative with grafts. People have no idea how extensive their hair loss will be as they age. Going for a low teenage to early 20s hairline is a huge mistake.
For everyone saying "his hair looked fine", that's like, you know, just like you're opinion man. YOU don't have to live with it, so your perspective is limited. Is there some body/hair dysmorphia going on? Possibly. It can also be possible that the hairs themselves were placed incorrectly, feel weird, and cause him mental distress. "I would never get hair surgery" Great, good for you, just don't judge someone else based off of what's important to you.
I'm wondering if because he was so used to having a recessed hairline (perhaps it was even congenital? I have no idea tbh), the honestly normal hairline was jarring for him? Similar to how when people who are overfilled then get their fillers removed, and honestly look more normal, but because they are not used to it they are dissatisfied? I guess it's kind of a reverse process (where one is doing a cosmetic procedure and one is reversing a procedure) with the same result 🤔
I can attest to that, I wear a hair system, and whenever I take it off to clean it and reinstall it, then put it back on, it always looks weird to me, but then I get used to it and it's just fine. Anyone that had insecurities about a particular area has to really work on just being at peace with it. I also wear veneers and at first they looked so odd and unnatural to me, but then I got used to them and they were fine. If I fixated on any of these things, I would probably still be extremely insecure about them. I think any drastic change to your appearance is gonna be extremely weird at first. You've been looking at yourself for years that way then all of a sudden in an instant it's different and it's hard to wrap your head around it at first.
I can see the technical issues here with the harshness of the line and the directions of the hairs - but I think the revision moved it back a lot. It's personal wants really, but a bit lower isn't unnatural, many guys in their 30s don't have their hairlines as far back as they revised it to. Mine is closer to his before revision and I'm almost 38 now.
This patient actually would look pretty good bald, he has a good head shape but if he isn't comfortable with that then thats cool. It looks a lot better now that it has been corrected.
If your hairline is to low you can always shave it or get laser. That being said he probably should've gone for fixing the patchy spots first. I really liked his hairline it created a younger look. His temples weren't weak. I can't believe he wore a hat for that or hated it so much he needed corrective hairline surgery.
It seems like the technical skills for doing the transplant is just part of what a surgeon needs - they also need to understand the art of making the transplant look good and natural. There's so much that goes into plastic surgery that I had never even thought about!
this guy has body dismorphia, his hairline looks good, no need to scar himself on the forehead. Imo this doctor agreeing with him and going ahead is more questionable than the previous doctor's work, and actually his hairline looks worse in the "after", he looked perfect before and now he has a typical "balding" hairline.
matching the density of the hair that's still there seems pretty important. Instead of attempting to make a new hairline, it seems better to work out from the existing hair line and matching density and stopping when you run out of hairs for that treatment
I agree with the majority of comments here that his hairline was fine. I have the same case, hairline lowering, and obviously in my first HT, I didn't get the desired density. I just went for the second HT and I achieved the desired density. I find it odd that there are no before and after photos on his first HT.
Quite the odd repair case. The hairline was not even that low.. It could also have been masked by placing single hair grafts right around it, and he could've rocked a NW1 looking hairstyle. My other concern is what they did with the grafts taken out.. Hopefully they were put to good use. They are a precious, finite resource.
A lot of people get trapped in an emotional cycle. Dissatisfaction > surgery > emotional high > emotional high wanes over time > dissatisfaction > next surgery... Chance is that this dude will at some point also notice his big nose, small jaw, protruding ears, thin lips and when hes done "fixing" all of it his hairline will have moved again.
I had a problem as well the line was higher from aside than another during the procesture but the line was ok when drawn....I did it at Natural Hair Clinic at Natural Clinic...
Looks great, not too low at all, if anything, he looks very Young BECAUSE the hair line is not too high. He looked great, and after the second operation he looks like he need a hair transplant....crazy world....
Ah man, no dude, the hairline looked great and suited him so much… what most would give for that look. If I saw him in public, I would have wished for that hairline, I’m so confused, but it is his decision at the end of the day.. definitely wasn’t botched!
I think its such a shame that having no hair or less hair these days is looked upon as if the person is somehow a lesser person! This poor guy has been through all these unatural procedures to try and look natural. This doc is a great guy helping and simply being honest with people.
I thought he looked better before the hairline revision?? His ‘Botched’ job suited him actually, made him look younger! Now he looks like the oldest guy in the IT department 😕 should have taken all that money he sunk into his hair and perhaps invested in therapy for body dysmorphia before doing more procedures
Shame, I think Dr Gary is being very polite in this video. The patients hair is actually NOT bad and the UK surgeon is not convincing to say the least.
First, thanks for all your videos ! It's quite reassuring. One question for you : Is hair transplantation compatible with androgentic alopecia ? Or the implanted hair will also fall down ?
They use hair from areas that aren't as affected by androgenic alopecia (usually from the back of your head), so they are unlikely to be affected but I think still can be in rare cases. I'm not a doctor though, just going off of my memory of what he has said before 🤷
I wouldn't have thought his hair looked bad from his botched job, but will say if it didn't follow his original hairline he's probably looking in the mirror every day not recognising himself
Exactly, I think he was so used to his old hairline (perhaps he was born with recessed temples or sm) that he was dissatisfied even though it looked "normal" to strangers 🤷

I think his hair looks great, very natural. Don’t hide your hair. If it’s too straight, it looks fake. My hairline is not straight. He is a very handsome young man. Don’t hide under a hat !!
British Dr hates competition.
I"m thinking about going to Turkey for a procedure as well. But if Dr. Linkov gets approved for his own show for corrective or small procedures, I am applying for it!
Looking good, Doctor 😍
He has just ruined a perfect hairline which had made him look much younger. His problem might be psychological.
Dr Linkov I am seeing an exponentially increased numbr of people looking for hairline repairs and even removal of their hair transplants, it would be really interesting for all the viewers if you could create a video about that and what the possible ways of addressing these issues would be.
The symmetry looks good to me I really don't see the problem.
I was expecting the first guy's hair to be completely jacked up from what he said, but then he took his cap off and I'm like "uhhh...that looks pretty good to me"
I liked his hair the way it was before ,in my opinion, it suited him
He’s a really good looking man! Honestly I don’t think he needed that revision
He needs a psychiatrist, he will never be happy with anything in his life….
Thank you, but the SMP masked a lot of the issues to the untrained eye. Even standing nearby.
But I can tell you I’m very happy with the natural looking result
Great video again, dr. Gary. Have you experienced an increase in business ever since the start of this channel? You seem really knowledgeable. Keep it up. 👍
And at 41, I think its now or never.
i know right? looked completely fine and normal to me
Good luck buddy. I hope you get the results you seek. I have the opposite problem, too much hair everywhere. The head is fine, it’s everywhere else that it bothers me.
You can use your dog's hair too if you dont have enough I have seen it done many times just make sure you chose a smaller dog with soft humen like hair!
@@simplyrowen Ha ha, similar problem mate. I use to be hair free till about 24 ish. Then it sprouted all over my body. Front, back, all up and down the arms, you name it. This was about the same time I noticed thinning in the head. Bloody puberty.
@@summerforever6736 you can use lower back hair for a beard transplant
I just realized that the “I” in city( on his hat) is the Empire State Building. I thought it was a wine bottle and just unconsciously accepted that without question. 🤣
His hair looks fine. Bit of a clickbait from tlc uk.
(I have done a lot of research and knew the risk with going too low)
So he drew another line, further up which we agree on.
What is the name of the Turkish clinic you went to?
Where did you get the hair transplant fix?
I have the same problem today.
Thank you for having a real perspective. I’m happy to say everything worked out well and I’m happy with the repair
Yet another one, keep up the good work! 🤗
Most important takeaway - "It's usually better to get the things right the first time" - Gary Linkov.
NOTHING will be “right” with this man! Not his partner, his car, his house, his xxxx, nada….
Great breakdown as always. Love your videos Dr. Linkov!
I think it’s a psychological issue in this case. And the fact that two Doctors agreed with this person is beyond me.
USA man. Everyone trying to grab a slice of the pie. Trash.
I thank you for your honesty
I'm wondering if because he was so used to having a recessed hairline (perhaps it was even congenital? I have no idea tbh), the honestly normal hairline was jarring for him? Similar to how when people who are overfilled then get their fillers removed, and honestly look more normal, but because they are not used to it they are dissatisfied? I guess it's kind of a reverse process (where one is doing a cosmetic procedure and one is reversing a procedure) with the same result 🤔
It’s all patchy. I would be upset too if someone gave me that awful result.
@@ALT-vz3jnI am happy and look great now 😊
Bro should have seen a psychologist rather going to the plastic surgeon.
Should have just leave it alone!!
I'm at about 4 minutes in the video, and I wish I had a full head of hair like that. It looks natural and great.
He has social anxiety and stays alone a lot!
That's the reason he is mentally disturbed!
If I come in to some serious amount of money....Dr Gary is my go to guy
The guy has more self esteem issue more than hair line problem
This patient actually would look pretty good bald, he has a good head shape but if he isn't comfortable with that then thats cool. It looks a lot better now that it has been corrected.
Yep. Go bald and get big. He is a handsome lad
I would love to see the next video where he complains about this session!
Thanks for the video 🙂
I wish I had his hair line
Omg I’d watch that show ALL the time
If your hairline is to low you can always shave it or get laser. That being said he probably should've gone for fixing the patchy spots first. I really liked his hairline it created a younger look. His temples weren't weak. I can't believe he wore a hat for that or hated it so much he needed corrective hairline surgery.
Dr , do you do beard to head transplants? Great content,ty
Bros getting hustled for money, his hairline is good
His hair was fine, now it looks ridiculous
It seems like the technical skills for doing the transplant is just part of what a surgeon needs - they also need to understand the art of making the transplant look good and natural. There's so much that goes into plastic surgery that I had never even thought about!
this guy has body dismorphia, his hairline looks good, no need to scar himself on the forehead. Imo this doctor agreeing with him and going ahead is more questionable than the previous doctor's work, and actually his hairline looks worse in the "after", he looked perfect before and now he has a typical "balding" hairline.
No scaring of concern. Slightly lighter but not noticeable
Looked perfectly fine honestly
matching the density of the hair that's still there seems pretty important. Instead of attempting to make a new hairline, it seems better to work out from the existing hair line and matching density and stopping when you run out of hairs for that treatment
Correct.
I agree with the majority of comments here that his hairline was fine. I have the same case, hairline lowering, and obviously in my first HT, I didn't get the desired density. I just went for the second HT and I achieved the desired density. I find it odd that there are no before and after photos on his first HT.
I hope you get the result you are after. 👍
his hairline looked good, the issue was the density
He is a kerin type of guy!
I thought he looked great. Poor guy.
Lmao, he looks like he has a receding hairline again. Wtf
That would be so cool for you to have a show!!!
I had a problem as well the line was higher from aside than another during the procesture but the line was ok when drawn....I did it at Natural Hair Clinic at Natural Clinic...
His hair looked fine 🤣🤣🤣
I didnt see anything wrong with his 'botched hair'. They were really quick to agree with him and take him in for more procedures.
Doc, imagine you did my hair transplant and we filmed it as a pilot for TLC. Win win for both of us.
Whaduyasay??
WTF dudes hair looked great. The Dr talked about equal distance from chin to nose, and now it's too far back
Looks great, not too low at all, if anything, he looks very Young BECAUSE the hair line is not too high.
It didn't look bad to me...but it's his body and he has to do what makes him feel confident.
Bro what?!?!?! After "fixing it" his forehead looks MASSIVE, the hairline was way better before, now it looks awful.
Dude you are a good looking guy roll with this. Looks good.
I think its such a shame that having no hair or less hair these days is looked upon as if the person is somehow a lesser person! This poor guy has been through all these unatural procedures to try and look natural. This doc is a great guy helping and simply being honest with people.
I have to agree, most guys would not want hairs to be removed from that area.
but he'll be back when he's older and demand to have it filled in again,
Looks good to me. I’d be thrilled with it
I thought he looked better before the hairline revision?? His ‘Botched’ job suited him actually, made him look younger! Now he looks like the oldest guy in the IT department 😕 should have taken all that money he sunk into his hair and perhaps invested in therapy for body dysmorphia before doing more procedures
Shame, I think Dr Gary is being very polite in this video. The patients hair is actually NOT bad and the UK surgeon is not convincing to say the least.
I looks like he wanted to intentionally go from a Norwood 1 to a Norwood 2.
I'm not a doctor though, just going off of my memory of what he has said before 🤷
Gary deserves his own Discovery show
His hair was fine. He’s crazy. 😂
Doc, I have a question, do most of your clients come back for different surgeries in the future or clients mostly are new?
Dang, the before looks better than the after. His forehead became so pronounced now
Hey Dr. Gary have you heard of the Sapphire FUE?? If so what do you think??
i think he must have been so fixated on his hair and insecure about it .he looked completely fine and normal to me 🤷🏻♀️
It's a sort of body dysmorphia i think. I had it too pretty much.
14:18 now the horizontal thirds are way off..he was better before the repair
