Great results all things considered. My favorite is the third round one, the chaff is really awesome. Another great video Tom, loved seeing the body tone scale aswell, it's always fun to see how each stone compares.
yes Don not bad at all lucky i bought it cheap , you wouldn't want to buy all this sand with nothign in it which i thought it may be. When I bought it i wasn't thinking business i was thinking cool video even if it doesn't give me anything but it did and i have a nice black opal to put into a setting thank you
I wouldn't be surprised if the round opal pays for the parcel. I'm guessing that you'll end up with a .5 ct gem after you finish shaping/polishing it. The other two... well, perhaps, the teardrop will clean up with a little luck. I'm not an expert, so weigh my opinion accordingly... As a rule, I never buy rough that is mostly sand. Miners know what they're pulling out of the ground. No way they'd leave the sand on the rough if they believed there was any real chance the sand was hiding good opal.
Thanks a good rule with the sand unless is cheap enough like that one. It was a punt which paid off at the end. Could have been better though :) appreciate the comment and your thoughts awesome thank you
I did. I think it was a fair price looking at it now yes got the value but just :) good to hear from you David you were the first to get us going on the 10K journey not forgotten we are stuck with it atm Matrix not selling 3.5k and triplets probably have to reduce it and move on to get us going again appreciate the support

Hi Thank you for watching and the comment. This is my store www.ausopalstore.com :)
120$ at most for that sand ball. I'd say you got between 600 to 800 out of the stones from it
thank you it was pretty good yield on that one
Please 🙏 don't fast forward removing the sand if it's close to the colour it's by far the most exciting part 😢but still great content👍😍
thank you great feedback notes taken will apply
