    I haven't laughed like that in a long time. A very nice addition in the form of a tipper from the seat to the floor. I've watched it over and over again, I mean I fell down like 24 times, and each time I almost fell under the table laughing. You got a sub and a like for him. It added a lot of color to your serious reviews and introduced a comedic aspect. Could he introduce it permanently to the repertoire of his films. Such gags would raise the viewership to satisfy us viewers in this boring and serious reality that came to live words. Sending my sincere sympathy and greetings from Poland Thomas.

    Great Video! liked and subscribed! BTW, do you think m3's motor is stronger than m2s? (a bit or a lot?) because my a6100 doesn't have IBIS, so I want a stronger gimbal (to have a more smooth video) but i also want to keep the weight as light as possible. And also In my country, the price difference between 2 gimbals is just $55USD dollar, which 1 would you recommend to me? thank you so much!

    • @MrTechTok
      @MrTechTok  ปีที่แล้ว

      only a bit, but support weight vs smooth algorithim is probably more important, newer series have slightly better tune so you "should" get smooth image. If the price is minimal def go for M3 , more clearance is better

    Great Review! I have a question, I know the Crane M3 has portrait mode, but at least one other reviewer on here said the M2S also had portrait mode, but no one demonstrated it or mentioned it. Can you in fact shoot in portrait mode on this gimbal? I have the M2, when my job asked me to start shooting reels for Instagram, the only way I can shoot in portrait mode is to turn the gimbal sideways or purchase the vertical bracket that was made the M2...unfortunately Zhyiun no longer has the bracket on their website and AliExpress was the only place you could purchase it from, but they're no longer carrying it. For at least the M2 starts acting weird when I turn it on its side and it's becoming annoying. That said I'm trying to decide between upgrading to the M3 or the M2S. For Clarity, I'm the Creative Developer for a Diesel Performance Shop, and for quick, fast footage to get up on social media, I only shoot with a GoPro 9 or my Galaxy S21 Ultra. For things, I need to spend more time on and require more polish, I use an entirely different setup and camera. TIA

    • @MrTechTok
      @MrTechTok  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      good question, I saw it yesterday but I wanted to confirm so I call zhiyun, and they said its in an upcoming firmware update, which means you don't need another L bracket for portrait but you would need to wait for the firmware about, hopefully within a few months. Hope that helps

    I have the weebill s now, it seems it's about the same size as the m3 (will take just about the same amount of space in the bag) or is it not, l also like the fact that weebill s uses replaceable batteries (cheap and easy to get, can get a few sets) instead of the built-in battery on the m3 - price wise it's about the same now or maybe slightly cheaper compare to the m3 (I wish the weebill s have the tuning indicator showing which axis is off - like on the m3) - what's your suggestion?

    I ended up buying the M3 to use with my Sony a7iv and 24mm GM. But it seems like its just too small when I was trying to balance it since the eye piece kept hitting the gimbal. Nice… I am glad the M3 came out before the M2. I have had the M3 for a few weeks and love it. One fatal flaw in my opinion is what they changed from the M2 to the M3 when holding down the trigger. On the M2 when you hold down the trigger while in Pan Follow mode it would instantly switch to Follow mode which was incredible. I used it constantly like that. With the M3 when you hold down the trigger it puts you in to go mode. The isssue is just how aggressive to transition is with the motors which creates a jerk immediately as GO mode kicks on. This makes using the gimble with that shortcut not usable to create a cinematic look without that violent jerk in the motor compensation. I am very disappointed and hope people will ask them to make it available to change to a secondary mode of your choice rather than just go mode. If you have direct contact with them can you voice this concern?

    • @MrTechTok
      @MrTechTok  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      good point. I asked Zhiyun and they said they will look into this and see if possible future updates. But right now you can’t change the settings and unfortunately the m3 and m2s will have to stick with Go mode

    Thanks! Been waiting for this video since your M3 video came out. What is the max payload for the M2S and what is the weight of the gimbal itself?
    I am looking for a gimbal that is not too heavy, can travel with, and holds an iPhone 12 Pro Max with moment lenses and filters. It’s been a challenge honestly! Osmo 5 can’t handle the load and has limited angles, Smooth 5 motor sounds were way too loud and captured in footage, G6 Max lock wheels during balancing drives me crazy and is having some motor vibration issues (even after calibration). Perhaps M2S is the one…? 😮‍💨

    • @MrTechTok
      @MrTechTok  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s around 550g , m3 is approx 750. So yea pretty light. It’s built for lightweight thus the sacrifice a little on build quality material ( plastic) feels like the smooth q3 if you have tested it. iPhone max with moment shouldn’t be a problem at all my friend. Official site doesn’t not have max payload but my camera is over 1kg with lens. So if it can handle that u should be ok

      Two possibilities:
      1) user error (90%)
      2) fault product (10%)
      Did you make any modifications to the gimbal? Shaking (vibration) is caused by an imbalance issue. Is your camera seated/balance firmly against the quick-release plate so it doesn't move? If it shifts during operation it will throw off the balance.
      I suspect something is not seated properly and may be causing micro imbalances that produce that shaking. That, or your unit could be faulty. Did you try it with a difference camera?

    Nice contentent, thanks, I use a sony a6600 with generally a 35mmm f1.8 but I ma thinking about getting a zoom and the ZHIYUN Crane M2 teoretically cannot manage an objective that is 300g even if other creators told me thet it works also with a little ov overload, just setting tha engine to maximum responsivity. How much is the maximum load on the ZHIYUN Crane M2S, please? I see that tha gimbal weights around 550g, is it correct? My camera+objective weigh around 700-800g. I see that the Crane M3 can hold up to 1kg, but the weight of the gimbal, on the ZHIYUN site its declared to be 700g, on other sellers is more than 1kg 1,19kg, I am thinking if I will just buy it to leave it in the box or to use it. For me I prefer a minimum compact setup with my Aps-C+ objective = 700/800g and compact, I can alway thow it in my backpack, the only reason I want a gimball is to stabilize the footage but if the gimbal weights the double of my setup camera I am not shure that it really makes much sense, for how i use it: Good quality, alwais with me, very light weight. Sony aps-c are awesome for me but even with the ibis and the oss the footage look shaky when handheld, Thanks for reading this km of thought. Yes maybe in the future 3-5 years I may be buying a full frame or a possibly new medium format sony camera but I will not carry it daily as I do with this do I will need for that a different gimball as you suggest but this will happen in 3-5years. Thanks Mate :) Max

      @MrTechTok  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      unfortunately there isn't a "official" weight that it can hold but from testing I think you shouldn't have problem with your setup given its only 700g. m3 is a little heavier given the built quality but if you are after compact I would go m2s if you don't mind the plastic design. bang for buck imo

      @@mattpilon2882 kit lens is no problem, a prime ( none gm) so like a Zeiss lens should be ok too on the 7c given it’s evf is also smaller vs the a7 model cameras. However if you do decide to go for any zoom I would probably pick a diff gimbal.

      think the gimbal is a bit of a con given the marketing is using a full frame sony camera and like your video shows, it isn't really compatible. Even with the 230gram samyang 24mm 2.8 my A7III was hitting the roll axis.

    Neither of these gimbals have wireless capability like the older, less-expensive Zhiyun M2 has. Nor can they be controlled with a smart phone using the Zhiyun Play app. If you're using a lighter camera like a Sony RX100-series, Sony ZV1, or a smart phone, and want to control functions like Record and Zoom with the gimbal or your phone, save some money and get the M2.

    If you using an iPhone(smartphone), think twice before buy M2S. It's not working with the App(ZY Play), unlike the M2.
    I have been used my iphone to take a video on the M2 but it's broken recently. So I bought this new model M2S. But the App is not working with my iphone.
    If you don't want to use record start/stop btn and zoom function, it'll be OK but if you stil want to use the btn, this new model can't going with you.
    I asked the seller about this but they didn't know this new model(App) is not work with smartphone..... Oh dear .......

    Oh yes! Balancing is a piece of cake! But then connect it to your camera!! I have tried it with my Canon, Sony and Nikon! NONE of them work! So i go back to the shop to return it. They contact the importer and get the answer "buy the bluetooth set, and it will work". But it DIDNT, more then CANT PAIR, i didnt get!! So i send a mail to their "customer service". In all SEVEN mails. And i didnt get ONE answer!! This is a typial " BUY it, PAY it and p@@ss off" kind of company! BTW it wont work with filmic eigther!
