Great review Adrian it looks like this gimbal covers everything light weight, very smooth footage and that side light is genius idea. 👏👏 Have a great week my friend.
Your videos always have a polished look! The built-in light is a great idea! I've been enjoying the DJI Pocket 2 for a while now. The second I learned that it had its own wireless mic system I was sold. I'm sure my viewers miss the bumpy vlogs! LOL I think this gimbal is great for you. You're making really fantastic-looking footage with it! Have a great weekend, Adrian!
Thanks for watching Phil. I think this gimbal will be awesome for the ZV1 from now on. I used to have to pack an external light, now I don't. Have a great weekend mate, cheers 🙏📸
What a fantastic run down of the gimbal. So magic it even works by itself! Ha ha. You can really see the difference though with out it. Looks like a great set up and easy to use once you get to know it. Great review.
Thanks for watching Andy, cheers mate. Have an awesome Sunday 👍🙏📸

Great review and tips Adrian, love the light attachment which I think is very handy while out recording. As always, very entertaining - worth checking out the Zhiyun Crane. Many thanks for sharing the info :)
Cheers Shaun. Certainly can help that jittery vision. I like how I can just click my Zv-1 into it and away I go, pretty fast. Have an awesome weekend mate and thanks heaps for watching 🙏📸
Hello, friend. This was an excellent video as a reference, thank you! I purchased this gimbal for the ZV-1. I had a question: I saw a comment on the Amazon reviews, that if you connect the gimbal to the zv-1 with the cable it brings, it blocks the microphone jack. I wanted to know if you happened to know: Can you use an external mic on the zv-1 on this gimbal, when not connecting the gimbal to the camera?
Thanks for watching. I did not use the audio and control cable in combo. TBH I didn’t really need the control cable. It was one less thing to think about and simply hit the record button on ZV1 before doing any action with gimbal. I used it with the Rode wireless go mic and it fit ok onto gimbal then balanced accordingly.
Nice review mate, I have an old Crane-M which struggles with my A6400 and is way more bulky than this model. It looks like they have improved on those small annoying things as well like being able to lock the arms on the thing. I like you carry it in one of the side pockets in my camera bag but the clanking joints are annoying!! Might look to upgrade when I can mate👍 Thanks for a superb review 👍
Thanks for watching Scott. It’s a very impressive bit of kit. 6400 would be perfect on this and yes it is extremely light weight. Cheers mate have an awesome day 👍🙏📸
Great review Adrian! Looks like an awesome gimbal, the footage was super stable & all those features are very useful ( especially that light👍👍) p.s. Next vlog should be recorded at a pub in the outback with that sexy a** bag😁😁
Thanks for watching Peter. It's such a good gimbal. I love that it's light weight too. It can do so much more but I'd have to make an hour long video! Haha! Yeah I could just see me walking into the Croc Dundee pub in the outback 😂 Have an awesome weekend mate, cheers 🙏📸
Is that the white bag you're talking about? If so, unfortunately Pergear only sell the standard kit version which is the gimbal itself and standard accessories. In the bundle version you get the white bag and phone holder. Thanks for watching.
I get asked that a lot. Unfortunately that seems to have been a one off bag Nikon put out. I actually got it for free when I purchased the D850. I tried looking for it again and no luck anywhere?
I'm sorry can I ask you if that cable from the zv1 to the crane m2s can also power the zv1 to avoid always changing the battery of this sony? I'm thinking of buying this gimbal, thanks a lot
i just purchased this gimbal and alreay using it for a week for a walk or strolling around only. but i kinda dissapoint with the result because its a lil bumpsy ( its not as smooth as i expected) do you also have the same result.
Thanks for watching. I don't know what camera you're using on it? Sometimes that means the gimbal is incorrectly balanced. If balance is correct place gimbal and camera on a flat level surface like a table, then in menu go to auto-tune and let the gimbal go through its motion of auto correct. See how you go.
Gimbals like really help the Sony ZV-1 with it biggest weaknesses, poor stabilization and that FOV crop penalty for Active stabilization. My only complaint with this gimbal is that compared to the Crane M2, that allowed you to zoom the camera from the gimbal as well eliminating touch the camera.
Thanks for watching. I see your POV re the zoom. This gimbal however has certainly has changed the ZV-1 for me. Has fixed all those issues I had. Have an awesome day. cheers
Hi Adrian, a really interesting video. I'm currently also searching for better vlogging gear, but it is all a bit too heavy for me, to be honest. 600g camera + 400g lens + 500g gimbal = 1.5kg. I even would like to fix my gorilla pod instead of the little tripod, then we scratch on the 2kg mark :) I tried to vlog with my Sony A7rIV and a 24-70mm lens on a gorilla pod, which is ~1.6kg - just to get a feeling for the weight. But I got always distracted by the heavy weight. Your ZV1 + gimbal seems to have ~1kg. I guess this is already on the limit for vlogging, while walking in steeper terrain? If nothing helps, I should think about compensating that all with a membership to a fitness center :) Nice greetings, Christian
Thanks for watching Christian. I like the light on this gimbal. Great for vlogging early morning like you do. Plus using it for B roll to show where you're going and the gear you're using. Not to mention getting steady B roll too so no messing with post stabilisation making a quicker edit. Have a great week and take care. 🙏📸

Great easy to follow tutorial. I also love how you kept your Aussie(ness) intact. Wish there’s a way to take photos with this.
Many thanks for watching, cheers Kevin 🙏
I just found out that double-tapping the record button quickly will take a photo if the ZV-1 is in Intelligent mode.
I'm also using ZV-1 + wide lens with crane m2s...Love it so much.....easy and smooth as flying 😁
Fun and interesting review video, I love the humor.
Thank you so much Leo. Really appreciate watching and commenting. Glad you enjoyed it. Have a great weekend 🙏📸

The pub test is the most important part - reckon I could get away with walking into one with the bag more than hubby could . . . . Definitely!
Thanks for watching Denise 🙏

No, not from the gimbal.

Hi there! What mode are you using on the gimbal?
Pan follow

Pretty sure the cable is for operation of the camera to gimbal only.

Does this gimbal have portrait mode?
You can use the phone via the holder in portrait orientation. You can hold the gimbal side way in a lock type mode to get a portrait look too I guess.
the gimbal is on sale at bestbuy for $179 now.
Thanks for sharing 🙏
It's also on sale now at B&H for $175; just ordered one.
