    I also really like Power Automate and I have some plans for automation of financial reporting processes to enhance our reporting quality.
    However you need to play around to find out which functions to use - especially if you are using PA Desktop.
    So far I have managed to create PAD which automatically updates my investment portfolio - it took a while to figure out all the steps but when it works it is so fulfilling

      Yes, PAD is great for all that RPA stuff. I'm still exploring what extra benefit would it add compared to the online version - in my day job.

    Hi Roland very nice video. Like your presentation and calm demeanor. I just started to use Power Automate visual in desktop. I really like how to showed us to automate the dataset upload using power bi service thank you!! I hope you have more videos on power automate and power bi.

    How to set up my dataset in the PBI to refer a new file everyday? Because, the daily files have different names everyday (as the date is suffixed to Daily Sales in your case)?

    But you not connect the stored file to the power bi,
    Than how it will get new incoming values in bi dashboard

      Once you connect to a folder Power BI will be able to pick up all files in the folder.

    Hi, I don't know why I could not manage to visualize my sales data as you did. The PI will automatically generate the charts?

    • @BILingualAnalytics
      @BILingualAnalytics  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It will not generate the dataviz automatically :( You have to do that bit

      @@BILingualAnalytics thank you for your reply. I have to draw the charts in Power BI in desktop and upload it in sharepoint, folder 'automate the boring stuff'? Then my Power BI will be updated automatically then?

    • @BILingualAnalytics
      @BILingualAnalytics  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheLienpham you create the dataviz in power bi desktop, upload it to the service and then the update can happen automatically.

    How are you linking PowerBI to Dataset in One drive?

    • @BILingualAnalytics
      @BILingualAnalytics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Using the SharePoint/Onedrive connector to pick up the data.

    Great videos . I was wondering if you have a video that shows how powerbi can automatically pick up multiple files (csv) from OneDrive and load and refresh data into powerbi with the prefreshed dashboard . One of the problems I am trying to solve is that I have multiple csv files from all sources and need to load them into powerbi to create a a dashboard , can this all be automated by power automate ?

    • @BILingualAnalytics
      @BILingualAnalytics  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have all your files in OneDrive you can do that with PowerBI without PowerAutomate. It's as simple as using the Sharepoint Folder connector to pick up files from a SP Folder.
      If you want to refresh the dataset/report once a new file is added then yes PowerAutomate is your friend :)

    Hi Roland, I want to append new daily data to existing data pulled. Can you recommend something for that?

    • @BILingualAnalytics
      @BILingualAnalytics  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, yes you can do that. There are a few options to do that. Either use "Add a row into a table" as an Excel connector OR use the "Add rows to dataset" as a Power BI Connector OR create a CSV file and combine with previously exported CSV files :)

    Hello! It seems it is very good since you dont need to write a single line of code to automate it. But what if I know how to code and want to automate using code. Do you know a way to do it? Not the code, but where can I code to do it

    • @BILingualAnalytics
      @BILingualAnalytics  หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can peek at the code and tweak it even in Power Automate.
      But if you want to write code to automate things I’d suggest Python as there are a lot of funky stuff there you can explore

    Hi Roland, do we need a premium license for Power Automate to make it work? Thanks.

      Hi, yes, you will need a separate license for Power Automate.

      @@BILingualAnalytics how do you switch to the right connector? i find that your says office 365 outlook and mine says outlook (with no domain beside it) on the connections page. How you do make it so that the connector is ensured as the 365 part?

    do you need power bi desktop or power bi pro ?

    • @BILingualAnalytics
      @BILingualAnalytics  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don’t need PRO to replicate this setup (potentially), but I’m nor sure why would you want to replicate without sharing. And for that you will need PRO.
