I see this video is 3 years old but it's still super useful. I went through everything that Kevin explained several times so I am getting more adept at using PowerBI. The one thing that slipped by that he did NOT explain was that on the Country Slicer, to select more than 1 country, just hold down the Ctl key and then select multiple countries. Thanks for an amazing getting started video Kevin!!!

I really appreciated this overview generalized understanding of Power BI. Basically you have data to import. Clean up the data to show what you need. Import whatever else data needed from a website and what is imported to showcase if needed. Then make pretty visually the data based on the criteria to showcase. Then save and publish. Thanks for this good summary understanding to help me grasp Power BI which isn't bad whatsoever!!

Thank you for this video. This is the MOST HELPFUL beginner tutorial for PBI I've ever encountered. One of the most useful features for me was the big blue circle surrounding the cursor.
The map feature and the slicer feature also surprised me that they existed and also how easily they transform the data.
Observation: Kevin Cookie Co reported sales from 2018 and 2019, but you used the population data from 2020. I know this is a tutorial, so data accuracy isn't essential, but maybe you should remark to the viewer the importance of accurate and precise data. When cookie sales got destroyed due to supply chain shut-downs, etc. in 2020 because of Covid, the sales figures per person would have been wildly different from the trends seen in the previous two years.

Can you please create another more advanced PowerBI with more features.
Any chance you could show a PowerBI report and how you are bringing in the data fields from the Common Data Service for D365 business applications?

Thanks for your video. I would be interested to know how to integrate Python modeling or visualization in Power BI, also allows auto refreshing data :)

26:30 You need Pro/premium to utilize sharing within organization. Free licence allow you only to publish to web (anyone can see) or my workspace. End users also need pro licences to read. So free is only good for personal testing or public data.

As always, Kevin, I find your tutorial to be very clear and extremely helpful. I suspect I ought to watch this Power BI tutorial about five times and by then I'll get it! I'm curious about one possibility. Given the power of these programs, is there a way to ask Power BI how it might analyze the data in a table so I can learn of ways to look at the data that I might not have thought of. Thanks as always. Anne K
