Catholics aren’t saved so it really isn’t the same you should research more, I’ve been to both a catholic and Christian church and it’s VERY different

I am calling "Shenanigans" on that first question.
I think it is a bogus question, I think the girl is not being truthful and the question is just made up cause she wants to see if someone will just answer a question from her.
The reason why I say this is because "She is Catholic and her boy is a Christian ?" and he wanted her to convert to Christianity but she did not want to be a Christian and go by the Christian Beliefs, Well the thing is (even though she a Catholic) she is already a Christian.
Catholics, Mormons, Seventh day Adventist, Johova's Witness, Baptisists, those are all Religions that go by Christian beliefs, Christianity is not a religion it is a belief, all these Religions believe in the Bible and also that Jesus was the son of God and that is what the defenition of Christianity is. if you are a Christian then can can convert to one of these Religions but you can not convert from one of these religions to Christianity because you are already a Christian.
I personally think her questions is real. A lot of Christians will know that most Catholics don't consider themselves Christian although it falls under the bracket. This is because Christians and Catholics are very different from each other. Even I would say I don't class Mormons has Christians
I have had this debate for many years now, when I was younger and I would have a conversation with someone and we were talking about religion and I would ask "Do you mind if I ask what religion you are?" and they would answer "I am a Christian" then I would say "Christianity is not a Religion it a belief, a belief that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and he died on the cross so we could be forgiven for our Sins". Then I would go through a list of different Religions that are all different but they all share One common Denominator they all believe that Jesus was the Son of God and he died for us, and that is how Christianity was born. There are a lot of people that were told by their parents that they are Christians but their parents never told then what religion their family was and told them they are just Christians.Those are the Children that were not taught right from their church or parents if they did not go to church. But the thing is this both the Girl and the Boy that Brynn was talking about do not know the true meaning of Religion or what a Christian is. 🤠@@daisybutterflies
I think the person asking the question was saying that her ex boyfriend is a nondenominational Christian or another branch of Protestant and wanted her to convert to being a nondenominational Christian too. A lot of nondenominational Christians will call themselves “just Christian.” This is the same for some other Protestant Christians (the term Protestant applies to any Christian who is not Orthodox or Catholic. In this case it is used as an umbrella term) And you are right in the sense that all it takes to be a “Christian” is to believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God who died for our sins and salvation and to believe in the trinity. And like all other branches of Christianity, nondenominational Christian’s have other beliefs on top of that. For example being able to get baptized multiple times, having pastors who are married or (and for some) female, etc. Most Catholics would consider themselves to be Christians because all it means is to believe in Jesus but for a lot of Protestant Christian’s they see Catholics as Catholics because of their distinct Catholic beliefs (priests, sacraments, NFP, etc)
Neither Mormons nor Jehovah Witnesses believe that Jesus is God. Catholics believe in praying to Mary. They all are different from mainstream Christianity.
