While both Ashlee has very valid points, and Brynn is a great dancer, I feel it for Kendall because 1. she's been there since S2 and she hasn't really had her chance (imo, I stopped watching when Chloe left, so my opinion is based off the clips I watch from this channel), and 2. I don't think I've seen Abby give Kendall the kind of emotional depth that she gave to Brynn or Maddie for a solo like that. The two solos in terms of choreo are completely different levels of difficulty, and I don't know if we should be judging them the same considering Brynn's was much more emotional. I don't particularly like Kendall, Jill, Ashlee or Brynn, because I think all of them just have a lot more personal communication flaws and character growth to work on (not saying I don't have my own), it made for super uncomfortable and sad TV imo

honestly I can see why Byrnn's win, her dance was beautiful and her know how to use her face and her legs is always straight, but Kendall solo and dance just not it, her legs wasn't straight and her costume was too simple looking like it just purple with some gold line,
Kendals choreography was so bad she danced it well, but you can tell who Abby wanted to win

The thing is that Brynn wasn't treated badly by Abby, but she was by pretty much everyone else. If Brynn got something good, the moms would complain and all the other kids never really tried to be friends with her

I think it may be because that Abby blatantly favored Brynn on the expense of everyone else including Kendall herself. Look at this face off, Brynn was literally set up to win in every way and Kendall was obviously set up by Abby or the producers to fail for Brynn to shine. Brynn got the better costume, better choreography, better music, better practice time, literally better everything Abby clearly set Brynn up to win and Kendall to fail, disregarding how good of a dancer both of them are Brynn was given everything someone needed to win this.
Sure it's obviously not Brynn's fault but if i were Kendall, i would be very sour too, that person was the reason why I'm set up to fail.

"She gave Kendall the same dance from months ago" - this would be something that's an asset. She already learned her solo and could reuse it because it was unaired. Learning solos weeks ahead always set Maddie up to win, and was something the moms complained about. I'm not sure what Jill is on about here
I think she means that Kendall always does jazz and that it may not be up to Kendall's current standard. I found Kendall a bit boring as a dancer but it may have something to do with the choreography. Nevertheless, I think they should still be greatful

kendall never aplied corrections, never fixed her posture, never used her face, so it does make sense as to why brynn won. brynn had flawless technique, subtle emotions, and good lines. brynn was just on a different level than kendall as far as technique goes.

Ikr? She tried to make Kendall the superstar. Getting her a fancy costume while all the other girls had homemade or reused ones, buying Abby and Gia lavish gifts, putting down Nia and Paige to make Kendall look better... But she acts like she never did any of it. Not to mention, throughout the second season, she constantly felt the need to tell everyone that Kendall was just as good as Maddie and Chloe and tried to get Gia to move her into one of their spots. Then there's the fact that she always claims Kendall never had a special part, victimizing her. Even though Kendall got loads of opportunities from Abby, Jill acted like she was treated the worst out of everyone. And when Brynn came and got a solo or special role (because she was amazing) Jill flipped and thought Kendall was more deserving once again. Like, come on. I couldn't stand her. This season especially. What she did to Brynn was straight up abusive and people argue that it's fine because Ashlee talks bad about Kendall. It's not. Ahslee doesn't yell at Kendall like she's her own kid. Either way, both moms are wrong but I especially get annoyed with Jill.

Jill reads into everything. Ashley legit said it’s a stupid dance because brynn can’t relate to it which makes sense and Jill turned it into a huge big thing.
Jill had serious delusions when it came to Kendall. Kendall was/is talented, but she wasnt on the other girls' level like that. Of course you can blame Abby for the subpar teaching at times, but Kendall religiously ignored corrections and some issues (like her posture) lasted the entire season. Brynn was just naturally more talented, even though her mother was nuts.

@@masonjames5505 She got on Kendall multiple times throughout the series about her posture, shoulders, etc. At the end of the day, it’s up to the student to make the corrections and try to improve.

@@marylennardi6201 No, it isn’t easy to fix but after a couple of years you should should be able to improve it if you work hard and are consistent. Abby was getting on Kendall for her posture the first season Kendall joined. At some point it’s Kendall’s responsibility to do the work at home (like working on posture and stretching).

I'm not surprised that Brynn won, she is easily one of the best dancers on the show and my favourite along with Chloe. She has such great technique and can perform any style. I do feel like she outperformed Maddie at times without any intention- this is why I think Jill and the moms were so angry, because they didn't want her to be replaced.

There's also a scene where Kendall cries and she is literally sitting on Abby's lap getting comforted. Abby never even did that to Kenzie! She would've told any other kid to save their tears for the pillow. And I get that Kendall has anxiety, but her attitude is not caused by that, so it isn't an excuse for her to act a certain way. Abby did show some favoritism to Kendall. Trying to make her the next Maddie, shooting her video, etc. And it's hilarious how Jill said that her kid always gets jazz when Kendall got so many lyrical solos, some of them were even 'Maddie solos'.

Edit: for all the people saying she went to the candy apples, yes she did. But Abby took her back. She ís the only one who made it on the team through an audition and didn’t get kicked of. She managed to stay till the end. All the other girls that autioned, Abby kicked of eventually.

I don’t understand why everyone is mad about Kendall’s solo and saying it’s the reason why Kendall didn’t win against Brynn...like Brynn would’ve beaten Kendall even they had the exact same choreography because Brynn all around is the better dancer, she would’ve lost to Brynn anyway.
Periodt, also Kendall did that solo before only a couple months prier so the dance is more familiar to her, so if anyone had a leg up it was kendall, and the reason Brynn took more time for rehearsal was because *she was learning a new dance* meanwhile Kendall was just doing over one she did not too long before. And even with the leg up she still lost to Brynne

honestly i don’t think jill should be complaining. paige was given a solo she learned months before but wasn’t given any help at all, she had to practice on her own. kendall is doing a dance she learned months before and is getting help.

She always begs for an opportunity for Kendall, and when Abby gives it to her, they either don’t come 1st, it ends in crying, Abby yells at Jill, Jill says it’s too much pressure on Kendall, and Jill says she’ll leave
Kendall truly is a beautiful dancer, but I think Jill forced her to dance too much, and she was given too little time to rehearse. Even in Broadway shows, any cast member would given at least 3 weeks to rehearse, even though there are more dances, that time can be organised well.

Regardless of any opinion, I have on Bryn and Ashlee vs Jill and Kendall, I don't think this was a fair set up at all. Bryn's choreography was way more detailed, had a real story, and she did get more time with Abby. Kendall's dance was not on the same level and I think most of that is on the choreography. Everything was stacked for Brynn to win. In my experience often when Jazz goes against lyrical it's the latter that is more likely to win.
Nope is he cause brynn is a much better dancer so she got much better choreo

@@chillstudy8223 True Brynn is better. HOWEVER, that does not change the fact that the scales were tipped it her favor on a technical level. The choreo for Kendall was not on the same level of difficulty as Brynn's meaning that to the judges Brynn's dance would appear more impressive. Furthermore Kendall was given less time with abby meaning she did not get the same chance for critiques which are often extremely important for a dance. Abby does critique on the things judges will most pay attention to. Look at the maddie Brynn set up near the beginning with her coronation dance. That dance was equal to maddie's on a technical level meaning that to a degree the dances were much more equal and it would purely be down to the dancers to impress the judges.
I'm not saying kendall would have certainly won with better choreo and more abby time but the set up was certainly favoring Brynn
@@madeleine5561 maybe brynn got more time because shes younger so it would be harder for her or at lead tired should. Also the reason keep deals dance was not as good technically is because kendal isnt as good technically

Also kendall great but she doesnt attack the dance dynamic. Kendal doesnt have a specific style she is best at because she dowsnt put in the work for any type of dance. Even when kendal has gotten maddie dances she constantly looses and doesnt use her face one bit. This isnt me being rude it's just saying things as I see them .period
