Thanks for keeping this up. 4 yrs later and still inspiring. This is exactly what I was looking for to make. Simple/natural look and elegant at the same time. Love it! 👍😊
hi there, i know it has been a while since you posted this, hoping you still see my message. do you still have these doors? how is it working after all these years since you made them? any issues you had to fix since? another question please, you mentioned you SUBTRACTED 1/4 inches of each side (all 4 sides) of the panels to fit the hinges, is that correct? thanks.
From a lazy diyer, do you think that just soaking in the fabric in the bucket and hanging it up would work instead of painting with a brush? Love your videos and projects
I think that would work too. it would definitely be faster then painting them with a brush but I'm sure it might take longer to dry. Thank you so much girl! So happy to hear you love my work 🤗
Hi I am thinking of doing this project for my closet. sadly most stores don't have the right size for my larger opening. My closet doesn't have the wood to hide the top rack unfortunately so I am trying to figure out the right measurement for the wood so it fits. I was wondering if you measured the opening before putting in the top bi-fold rack or after putting it in?
That came out amazing. Had to fast forward through a bit of it since I'm at work but will come back to watch it all the way through. 😉😉😁😁 you think this would be nice for outside up against a wall with plants? 1:42
I did a amazing good. I been looking for an affordable idea for my moms closet. Quick question since you decided not to put the fabric between the wood, does it still need to be cut in 1/2? I wouldn't think so but just checking. TFS
Thank you :) Not you don't have to cut them in half but too attach then I would use a kreg jig instead to make slanted holes. You can then use screws to secure all the pieces together. We did this with our barn doors - th-cam.com/video/VXSoVyBkayY/w-d-xo.html
You did an amazing job! I am still imitated by the closet door kit, I bought it and then returned it. I am deciding if I want to do doors like these OR just hang up a curtain that I can just pull to the side!
Thank you. I understand it seems a bit overwhelming. I also watched a few videos lowes and homedepot have for their closet door kits. That helped a ton before getting started.
It can I just feel like maybe it would take longer to dry that way? I was also worried I didn't have enough diluted paint. If I were to do this I would make sure I have enough before dipping it in.
@@diylilyardor3435 oh wow!! Thank you for responding so quick.... I went to Joanns but they're closing, so they don't have acrylic white or cafe late. I bought the spray paint and yes I'd like to make it darker. I should be making my closet doors tomorrow. Thanks again for the quick response and awesome idea!!!!
@@angeldlfn On no! Sorry to hear they're closing. Yes I think darker should work. They also sell spray paint at lowes and home depot. Rustoleum is my favorite brand of spraypaint. It's pigmented and hasn't let me down yet.
To whoever is reading this Jesus loves you and he’s coming soon. All you need to do to be saved is believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins was buried and came back to life on the 3d day confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and you’ll be saved. Today is the day of salvation tomorrow is not promised and you don’t want to miss the rapture it will be so bad like nothing ever seen before on earth. God bless
If you don't have a table saw you can make them without one. you can do this by not splitting the wood and instead use a kreg jig to make slanted holes in your wood to secure your pieces to create the door frame.

Glad you found it helpful. Thanks :)
I would of never thought of using burlap. It turned out very nice.
Thank you so much Nica :D I'm so glad you liked it! I can't wait to try painting it black and doing a furniture upcycle with it.
These turned out gorgeously! You go girl!
Thank you Emily 😁🤗
This is exactly what i was looking for! Thank you!
YAY! I'm so happy to hear this :)
SAME! Thank you so much!!! Great idea
I’m doing this today but the only thing I’m doing different is using tea bags and water to change the color on the burlap

You are very creative. Thank you so much... I'm gonna do this!... Your channel has really useful content.
AWWE thank you so much Andrea! You're so sweet! OH YAY 👏! Let me know how it goes! 😊

Hi I loved this doors I’m wondering will this work as barn door on a track?
Gave me some ideas for a foldable burlap privacy screen. Thanks!
OOH love that idea!! These would make cute screens!
I thought the same thing!!!
love these!
I absolutely love this idea

Lily, that looks really good! Your giving me inspiration, that I could actually do this! 😎
Thank you so much Joanna :D I'm so happy this is inspiring!
Great job. Love the result! And the video is well explained, thanks. Although not sure I'd want to get myself into this xD.
That looks awesome
Wow wow wow!!!!! Loved it! 😍
Thanks a lot 😊 Happy to hear!
OMG, this is beautiful, thanks!
looking to do something like this with my over 3m wide patio doors doors ,put something like this in front the doors in side
Many many thanks not too complicated and just was looking for😍
You are so welcome 😊
Very pretty doors! Do they allow some filtered light into the closet?

Wow well done honey!! You nailed it. 😁
Thank you!! 😁

Hii do you know what colour the burlap was in the beginning x
I need something exactly like this thanks

Can the fabric be dipped in diluted paint or does it have to be painted with a brush? Thank you 🍀
It can I just feel like maybe it would take longer to dry that way? I was also worried I didn't have enough diluted paint. If I were to do this I would make sure I have enough before dipping it in.
Thinking about stamp the printed fabric. Not sure if the paint will rust the print on fabric?
I'm not sure sorry. Maybe try it on a small piece of fabric first and see how it holds up 🤔
What’s the purpose of painting the burlap other than changing the color?
I found this so cool I hope it was worth it 😄
Thanks girl! Gosh me too. LOL! Brought them inside yesterday they still stink. Fingers crossed... it airs out! I'll give it another week.
Do you think you could cover pre-existing bi-fold doors to upcycle instead of starting from scratch? Thinking about doing this!
Yeh I think that would work :)
I'm thinking about doing this to the ikea sliding doors.. Hope it works
So smart
You could have keep the 2x2 instead of cutting it and put them together again with screws. It is much stringer
Great project! Is the burlap stable for furniture?
The closet doors are still holding up great. The fabric did loosen up a bit but, not noticable at all unless you touch it.
Out of curiosity, what was the cost?
Now that's a year had passed, are these easy to keep clean/free of dust?
I haven't noticed too much dust on them. I go over it with a damp cloth and they're fine :D
Great
Going to do this☺️
So happy you liked it!
genius
thank you 🙈
Can you spray paint the burlap?
it depends on if you're trying to lighten it or darken it. If you're going lighter it doesn't work well. if you're going darker it might work.

Where did you purchase that rattan material?
It's just burlap from Joanns fabric.
Burlap will turn darker after not too long a time.
WOW I had no idea. I keep an eye out. :D Thanks
Wow your eyes😍
Thank you so much Katie 😬
But isn’t this very flammable? 😰 just because I saw the candles and got nervous

how to make bifold doors....NOPE you need a table saw to do this project!
