There’s always been something very satisfying about a thick-ish Dark Horse TPB
The Unlikely Story of Felix and Macabber is such a heartful book and it felt like a book the author really wanted to tell
It seems to me that Image and Boom have published the most interesting books recently and now, thankfully, Dark Horse!
I'm not sure if it's just me but, wow, so much of this I want to read now.
So much variety for all ages. Heavier stuff, lighter stuff.
The art in that Felix and Macabber one is fascinating. And the Hans Vogel one is such a bizarre-looking trip. The coloring and the lettering is something else. Makes me think of weird indie games I've seen.
Adored Felix and Macabber, I'm glad you did too, excited to read the rest, especially Birdking, looks awesome!
I love these overviews!
As always thanks Omar - your last book of Moebius I’ll ask a general question does Dark Horse have or will they ever secure the rights to -re-publish all of Moebius’s Artistic run ? It’s probably impossible because he’s French , Humanoids secured The Incal of course , but there’s AN ENDLESS INSATIABLE APPETITE worldwide and in the English speaking US and UK- BUT $200 to $400 for classic softcover vintage copies ( I have one or two from the 80s?) but just gave up from the extreme expense . Any thoughts your followers fans and fellow TH-camrs have on this Id love to see this happen now vs never . Dark Horse DID commit to Richard Corbin’s Den ( I’m still pinching myself and dreaming ) for four volumes Vol 2 hits the streets in April 2024 so THATS goodness -
Can’t wait to see your TMNT Compendium Vol 2
So happy Dark horse reprints the MignolaVerse. I'll take any format.
Really appreciate your Dark Horse overviews, helps me explore contemporary comic artists and stories. I already ordered the Birdking because the first volume was so good.
Has Witchfinder Acheron one shot been collected in omnibis format?
Where Monsters Lie reminds me of the Cereal Convention in Sandman 😅
I saw Where The Monsters Lie by Kyle Starks but decided to pick up his I Hate This Place series instead. Starks got some hits though!
Birdking Vol 2 is fantastic
Yes it is!
Will dark horse reprint the Hellboy collected editions, the Hellboy related books, and the other Mignola books in hardcover again eventually? Because I am collecting everything Mignola dark horse related now and mainly want them in hardcover, asking so I can see if I should wait or not. If it is a long time till they do hardcovers again I don't mind getting the softcovers.
These books all look like literal garbage
One man’s trash is …. Well you know. Never thought I’d hear someone say that about Moebius or Mignola, but I guess it’s all subjective.
@@NearMintCondition The art just looks so amorphous and undefined
@@NearMintCondition I’m talking about the other artists, like the webtoon ones
Mignola and moebius are good artists
@@JackSann It definitely has a manga flair to it. Like I said, it's all subjective.
