Really appreciate your guides, man. So few content creators understand what a guide should be, most of them end up just describing the character and then giving "tips and tricks" that dont matter 99% of the time.
I usually think about it this way: "where can my turret not be poked out but does damage once the fight breaks out, since they can't afford to be shooting it mid fight"
why u need an updated version tho she barely changed i get the meta around her n the team composition has changed but core mechanic n even tactics haven't changed that much
As a Gnome, I approve of this! All the other Torb guides I see are just people talking about the kits and very little info that can be used in a game, my biggest issue with Torb was always trying to think of the best spots to put turret and waste too much time. So I end up just dropping it wherever and it gets no value, if there was a spot guide for most maps or at least one from each mode that would be great. I've been playing more Torb this season since dive is so strong.
Try putting the turret somewhere the enemy can't destroy it pre-fight, but will have to address once they hard engage, meaning they can't just safely poke it out and it turns into a 6v5 almost, making it harder to focus the backline as samito pointed out. The best way is practice, you don't need to be perfect every time. If you think a spot might work then throw the turret down, don't overthink it, if it works great if it doesn't try again. This way you develop your game sense as well instead of just memorising spots from a video, hope this helps : )

Well he says if your backline needs help, torb is good. If you're in the need of help, maybe more self sufficient picks like Sombra/tracer or soldier could be good to learn. 1 hero shouldn't do it all
at that point if you want to one trick even when torb isnt good, probably have to change your playstyle. look for torb one tricks unranked to gm (preferbly someone with avarage aim) and really see the way he adapts when he is getting countered, thats what i did for hanzo and adapting for pharah/ team playing dive cause im also a filthy one trick.
i look for unranked to gm and when is in diamond/master/grandmaster i would pause the video during crucial times like when they are setting up and the fights changes and think for like a few seconds what i would do and what angle i would take and then unpause to see what they do, it help me understand hwo i could play better

qp is insanely sweaty, more so when one side has people w/ masters or gm tags and they're starting to lose... thats when the heat turns up - they don't always win which is funny but yes, QP can be low key sweat fest

2:50 If your internet is of average quality, and there are occasional packet losses, shotgun torb does zero damage at point-blank range, unfortunately.😢

Torb is good, but he's only really good as a counter pick or on maps/points that favor him. I don't think he's a great main.

Better rule of thumb for the turret is just put it as far back as possible picking the off angle isn’t always an option
