- Mig-29 UPG is currently one of the most advance Mig-29s in the world. The mig-29 upgrade includes ZHUK-ME AESA radar, RD-33 series 3 turbofan engine, IFR probe, an advanced weapon control system and avionics.
With UPG upgrades , it has new databus 1553B standard to incorporate newer avionics , new mission computers, navigation system (RLG-INS w/GPS + possible Glonass module - Sagem’s Sigma95N), Stores Management System, new VRS (Video Recording System) plus DMG (Display Map Generator).

Dream Film Thing is AESA radar is not necessarily an anti-stealth radar. It enables many useful things, so having an AESA has its advantage.
But again there are PESA radar, hybrid PESA to be exact that can out do even some of the AESA radars out there. But again this is great upgrade, much needed and will strengthen our fleet quite a bit.
@@aswinottapilavil495 PESA has got nothing on AESA except cost, AESA is not anti stealth it is a part of stealth like LPI, PESA works on single frequency at a time enabling it to be very much susciptible to jamming. AESA is basically 2nd Gen of phased array radars but pesa has much more noise hence require much power whereas AESA with GaN will be next level development in terms of power consumptions and range increase

Even after using more than almost 35 years....
This jet design is so superb that even today it's far better than it's competitors of same generation.... it's now almost 4.5+ jets....
So it's show that Russian platforms are very future visionary & very flexible ....and can update with recent technologies....so it's relevance is very long.... it's life cycle is very long through updations....so it's totally value for money...
So we have to keep in mind while selecting new jets in MMRCA 2.0
It is 4 + generation these are upgraded version of mig 29 there are two one is mig 29k for navy and other one is mig 29 upg for air force
22 extra frames to be bought from Russia. Then upgraded directly to UPG standard s, we get a full squadron extra of Mig 29 totalling 80 that means 4 operating squadron s definitely. Don’t go for Mig 35. Get more Rafale with Meteor at a new lesser rate AFter better bargaining. By the time all this arrives , it’s 2024, Tejas MK 2 , and AMCA hopefully ready to test.

My personal thinking India will go for F 21 in MMRCA 2 reason
1. Eurofighter is costliest among all
2. India will not go for Russian jets due to low serviceability and china is also using the same kind of jets so no after spending so much we wont have upper hand over them
3. FA 18 SUPER HORNET also cost is the issue for this. Per hour flight cost is very high for this and this seems to be less advance then dew other competitors.
4. Gripen was the most likely to be selected but issue is that india also working on Tejas MK2 which will be in production from around 2024 and india will acquire around 200 of them. If we compare Tejas MK 2 with gripen there are lot of similarity in these although gripen is bit more advanced to Tejas but we also needs to understand that with buying Gripen Tejas MK2 project will impact heavily also chances that Air force cancel the order of Tejas as no airforce would want to fly same kind of jets. Moreover SAAB also supplied in past the radar which could easily detect gripen.
5. Now we r left with F 21 and my favourite Rafael. Here we have to understand that rafael is much more costly and also franc may not agree for 100% transfer of technology. Also if India would have wanted to buy Rafael then they would not nt ordered only 36 initially instead they would have approached for all 114 jets in make in india which could have resulted in less price per jet.
6. The only left option is F 21 also we have to keep in mind and play smart as we can not afford american senctions right now due to purchase of S400 missile from Russia as the chiness and turkey are facing. The main benefit of having F 21 is that The entire line of all the F 16 production will be established in india which will create thousands of jobs in India. Also there are around 3000 f 16 around the world for which india will be the only source of spare parts. And the best advantage is that the most morden jet in pakistan airforce is in india so india could get to know all the in and out of f 16 and also they can stop providing the spare parts to pakistan during war time.
My personal choice is Rafael. JAY HIND
F18 is better then f21 agar American jet lena ho to. India pakisatn to hai nahi ki dual engine jet afford na kar sake i think rafale and f18 is best in mmrca 2
It seems radar is very much inferior in detection Range Not suitable for modern day BVR . Infact j17 mk3 will detect it first and lock it beforehand even though it will not be sure about j17mk3 presence. J17mk3 will have lower RCS value.

India aj bhi R 77 jaisi low range missile use krta h jiski range 60 km tak h. Isliye hamare behter fighter hote hue bhi 26 February ko sukhoi 30 mki ko piche hatna pda tha

Mikoyan Company has offered to accommodate India’s need or India specific enhancement in Indian version of mig 35. Mig29 upg was similar to mig 35 that was offered in mmrca 1. Mig 35 offered in mmrca2 is more advance and much more capable than one offered earlier. In addition to it if India specific enhancement in the new version are accommodated then it will be much more lethal than the current mig 29upg. However the uncertainty of availability of spare part and high operational cost makes it less attractive in comparison to Western aircrafts. Further r27 and r77 are much inferior to mbda missiles of European weapon package

It is the effective area of cross section of the air-craft that can be sensed and therefore tracked .Full form of RCS:- RADAR CROSS SECTION.
There are many methods to make an air craft stealth...
First:- To design the air frame in up and down ramp structure such that the incident radio waves don't reflect back to the enemy radar receiver rather been deflected in other directions.
Second:-A proper radio wave absorbing coating can be applied to the air frame surface to make it stealth by absorbing the incident radio waves.
Third:- To minimize the surface heat by using organic or carbon composite material for the air frame so that the air craft is less detected by the IRST( Infra Red Search and Tracking) system.
Fourth:- Jammers can be used to absorb the incoming/ incident radio frequencies , so that the enemy radar receiver can not get the reflected waves back .
Fifth:- The external weapon bay or system of an air craft increases the RCS( effective area that is detectable by the radar) .We can remove the external weapon bay , rather to use internal weapon bay to reduce the RCS .

Marios Hadjikyriacou I think you are confused with the MIG29SMT which is the latest upgrade. The MIG35 is a new plane in prototype status and it’s awaiting for money from India if they decided to move forward.
@@polduseri909 I know mig29 smt. Russian air force ordered around 50 pieces and first made planes are already delivered. Money wise issues held for Su57! Usef be a common project between Russia and India, but India dropped out! That's reason for delays on Su57
Marios Hadjikyriacou and it was in my opinion, a wise decision from India to end the bilateral program SU57 due to the lack of stealthy technology, and undetermined set of timeframe from Russia to deliver what they promised. Kind of the carrier India received for free but at the cost of billions to be completed, a “white elephant” that have to be in port most of the time.
