In my eyes the 52, 53, and 54 cars were basically just field fillers piloted by drivers looking for a way into cup
Some honorable mentions for the 60's 61- Kevin LePage's Xfinity car from the infamous incident in 2008 66- Dick Trickle when he drove for Cale Yarborough, he won pole and finished 3rd at Dover that season Also 66- Timmy Hill when he was in the 66 for MBM i think it was in like 2020 and 2021 and the IRacing Invitational races that he won during the COVID shutdown

I would like to say For 57 Norm Benning for trying to Make the Daytona 500 from 2009 to 2010 And For 58 James Hylton in for trying to make the 2007 Daytona 500
Didn’t the 50 run full time at Hendrick in 1998? Or maybe it doesn’t count because there was more than 1 driver? I dunno I felt like the old 25 team counted as full time but maybe they missed races or something.
Juan Pablo Montoya recently drove the 50 at Watkins Glen

Lots of them are Rick ware
You aren’t kidding. They like the 50’s apparently 😅
I woulda mentioned Kevin Grubb and his #54 Toys R Us Chevrolet that he ran in the Busch Series in 2002 for Team Bristol Motorsports, as well as attempting his only cup race that year in the same car as well as Hermie Sadler for the first few races of 2003, but im a few weeks behind so that didn't happen 😂
Also I should state that honestly Rick Ware Racing only really had the 15 and 51 cars. In my eyes the 52, 53, and 54 cars were basically just field fillers piloted by drivers looking for a way into cup
For the 82 you should do trip Murphy
Thanks for the suggestion!
Oh, 50 to 59 cars of many different Drivers, It really interesting !and Good/ numbers of cars/Drivers video
Thanks for the kind words!
@@DoglegMediaMatt Welcome
Welcome and Thanks
Oh, Thanks
Great Video !! the History of the number 16?
I’m assuming you’re in Canada… it’s blocked for copyright, but getting it resolved!
@@DoglegMediaMattok. Thanks for the answer!! great Job. I like most your videos!!
@@matiasviana23 I appreciate that! Thanks for watching!
@@DoglegMediaMatt i am from Argentina
@@matiasviana23 hmmm, I guess it’s copyright there too, I am working to get it fixed!
Thank you for this video
As you mentioned Cope in the 50, we need Kirl Shemmerdine in the 72
Thank you for watching!
will u ever do xfinity and truck numbers or just cup
So it would be pretty difficult to source Xfinity and Truck stats, but never say never!
Some honorable mentions for the 60's
61- Kevin LePage's Xfinity car from the infamous incident in 2008
66- Dick Trickle when he drove for Cale Yarborough, he won pole and finished 3rd at Dover that season
Also 66- Timmy Hill when he was in the 66 for MBM i think it was in like 2020 and 2021 and the IRacing Invitational races that he won during the COVID shutdown
Thanks a ton, I will definitely need them in this upcoming episode!
An silly honarable mention for the 70's video is Jake Martin in the 74 Fake Steak Chevy
We actually talked about this one in the discord!
I’m pretty sure most of the 90s are obscure numbers when you get to them but 91 now…
The Kiwi definitely gave us something to talk about!
Will you make a video about numbers like 00 and 07
Definitely! 0-09 will be coming after the 90’s!
Hey since we're on the 50 and the 60s are next the 65 is the number in question for me it has never lead a single lap in a nascar race and hasn't been seen in a long long time
The 65 is the least used number in NASCAR history, so it’s gunna be wild to review lol
@@DoglegMediaMatt yeah other numbers of note for me were 13 former favorite number 94 because of pascal wehrlien in f1 and formula e and number well curious to see who drive the meme number 69
@@TeamRedWolf11 I think a lot of people are excited for the 69 😂

Forgot Hendrick Motorsports running the 50 in 1988 for NASCAR’s 50th anniversary
I did, I didn’t know they ran it for the 50th, it was a split ride, but you are right!
@@DoglegMediaMattit wasn't originally scheduled to be a split ride. Ricky Craven started the year. Got sidelined with post-concussion syndrome. LaJoie and Dallenbach replaced him. Craven came back mid year and resigned. Dallenbach finished the season.
@@highoctanecards dang, what could have been. May have been able to get the number a win!
Gibbs will get one this year!
I think so too!
Wasn’t the Budweiser car #50 in 1998?
It was! Ricky Craven!
58 Ricky Craven
Ricky Craven never went full time in the 50? That’s mind blowing
Nope! Had a few different stints in the number, but never full time!
54 Todd bodine 55 ted Musgrave 56 jerry Hill 57 hut sticklin 58 ricky craven/ sb 3 motorsports.59 Andy belmont
All great mentions!
Can't wait for you to talk about the 60s their are some cool guy like chad cafflin in the frm 61 taco bell car and derrike cope 61 iwt car
There will be a lot of learning on my end when I do the 60’s video, and a Taco Bell car? Count me in!
NASCAR Journeyman Jimmy Means ran the 52 for a majority of his career.
Massive L on my part!
Did y’all forget Doc Hudson
I guess I did!
You forgot doc 😭
This is really good tho
This was a big mistake XD

@@Rowdyfan4335 the green and black one?
@@DoglegMediaMatt yep
I think Ricky Craven ran 50 for Hendrick during the 50th anniversary of NASCAR.
He ran select starts yup’
You forgot Ricky Craven as an honorable mention for the 50
I did, and a viewer let me know hendrick ran the number to celebrate NASCAR’s 50th anniversary, pretty cool!
and Rick Mast, the old Midwest Transit car.
@@nascarsteve that’s why y’all are the best, filling in the gaps! 😎
Also I believe Ricky Craven drove the 58 too
@@jasong3652 yes he started out that season in that car
Do you think you could do the number zero as well
0-09 are coming after 99! I’m excited for them!
Yay, I'm now excited too, I was just wondering, thanks for responding so quickly your videos are amazing.
I would like to say
For 57 Norm Benning for trying to Make the Daytona 500 from 2009 to 2010
And For 58 James Hylton in for trying to make the 2007 Daytona 500
The James Hylton piece definitely should have made it, that’s no joke
Didn’t the 50 run full time at Hendrick in 1998? Or maybe it doesn’t count because there was more than 1 driver? I dunno I felt like the old 25 team counted as full time but maybe they missed races or something.
Yeah, there have been some seasons the number ran every race, but there hasn’t been a single driver run it the entire season.
Gotcha. Yeah I couldn’t remember if someone got replaced or not. I remember Wally and craven in the car I think
Honorable mention: Geoff Bodine drove the 60 car 48 times
Thanks for the mention!
@@DoglegMediaMatt no problem
51, you forgot 2 Pixar Cars legends, Fabulous Hudson Hornet, and Cruz Ramirez 🤭
Me forgetting doc was a sin for sure 😂😅
Go hard on number 91
It’s going to be a party, got a special video coming out Wednesday, check the community tab!
I though Norm Benning drove the 57 in '10 but im guessing he didn't qualify
He would attempt to qualify for the 2009 and 2010 Daytona 500 in the number, but you are correct, he did not qualify
