      I've eaten Hanwoo my whole life. Sometimes, the US Prime beef sold at Costco is better than Hanwoo

    Thanks for all the recommendations. I’ve saved all your food videos for when I visit Seoul/Busan later this year.
    How would you rate this experience on a scale of 1-10?
    I have a group of 4 and don't want to blow the budget trying all the different places. I can get unhinged when buying good beef.

      Oh boy, you could be in trouble with the beef budget. 😂 Hanwoo beef we had was so tender and full of flavor. I would rate my experience 8. Fun experience getting to buy the beef and eating it right away. If you have a bigger group, would recommend buying some other cuts of beef that maybe less expensive. That way you can try different cuts and also save a bit. Hope you have a wonderful time and enjoy!

    I much prefer high-grade hanwoo to high-grade wagyu. A5 wagyu doesnt even taste like beef, while 1++ has a nice beefy flavor while also having amazing marbling. Hanwoo is for people who like beef, while wagyu is for people who like fat haha

    Go to Costco and buy US Prime tenderloin; then you can enjoy a beefier taste than Hanwoo. I'm a Korean living in the US for almost a year, and I found that US Prime is better than Hanwoo. Of course, I've had Hanwoo my whole life, mostly from department stores, Hanaro Mart, and Emart. US Prime tenderloin is one of the best types of beef I like to eat. And I've visited Japan more than 30 times, so I can confidently say that Wagyu is on another level. You can't even compare it to Hanwoo-it's a different type of taste and another level of quality. What I don't like most about Hanwoo is that the quality is inconsistent. It's not just the marbling; the overall quality depends on your luck.

    Hanwoo is better than Wagyu in general and some meat specialty youtubers confirmed that. But the price is too expensive, it doesn't give the price justice satisfaction so it's not for everyone's food. I'd eat US or Canada beef for everyday meal. haa

    • @grifsfoodandtravel
      @grifsfoodandtravel  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think if more people at Hanwoo, then maybe price would match demand. I think it is still not recognized as much as Wagyu. Thank you for watching and your comment.

    한우는 그냥 미국산 프라임 먹으면 됨. 한우는 거품임. 왜냐? 가끔식 엄마가 미국산 소고기 사오는데 한우보다 맛있음. 국끓일때만 한우씀.
