In this video I talk about the details of sponsorship and contracts in pro golf that you don't really hear about. These are things that I've gathered from talking with a bunch of my different buddies who are on the web/pga tour or on the latin/canada/china tours. Deciding between club companies and apparel companies is more than just looking at the best performing product. Pro golfers have to understand what each company prioritizes in the bag, and if they require you to wear their logo on the hat. Some club or apparel sponsors have bonuses in the contract as well. There are a lot of different details in pro golf sponsorship and a lot of golfers get the help of agents to help manage the sponsorship and contracts.

If you were to choose from their current product line, do you see yourself going with the MB's? They certainly are sexy af. As well as their black MD4's. I here nothing but 🔥 when it comes to Rogue fairways. And I guess the driver's alright as well. I guess my only reservation would be the putter. I don't quite know how I'd feel about being forced to roll an odyssey. That's not a knock on them at all, i'm sure they're just as good as any other putter out there, but for me their finishes are a little bit off putting. Throw in the new Chromesoft and I Don't know about you all, but I'd be pretty damn happy myself
Sean Mullins I already switched to an odyssey putter so that played a factor as well. I havent really looked into the info on their irons, irons are pretty much the same across the board for different companies. Probably wont go with the blades though, no need to make the game harder than it is. And I tried nick voke’s chromesoft++ balls which is a tour only variation and it seemed pretty good 👍

Thank you for sharing your experiences and good luck to your journey. My son is almost a scratch golfer. He wants to come and play in US such as Mini Tour Golf and Monday qualifiers but I told him to wait until he starts shooting between 65 and 72 regularly. Stories like yours and your sharing really teach us what to do in the future. One question though, how much do you have to pay to your agent or how do you pay your agent?

^ yep I talk about that a bit in that video. The way I see it, if you truly want something bad enough you’ll figure out a way to make time for it. Bring golf clothes to school in your car/bag so you can go straight to the course after school and stay til sunset 👍

I have sum friends who pro skiers and they told me how much redbull athletes get when they hold a redbull can during a interview after their run on tv. same with magazine pics each picture they get. if they win they get bonus...

SEAN PARK during tournament weeks? Probably less than you think so they can keep themselves fresh. Offseason probably pretty close to literally all day, everyday 👍
First time viewer of your vids,and I am beyond impressed. Most definitely subscribing. Btw, if you don't mind answering, Are you using that Nike Vapor Fly or whatever it is by choice, or is that part of your Nike contract? I guess I'm curious because I kept hearing nothing but negative reviews regarding their drivers, pretty much across the board. Now I know that there really aren't any terrible clubs out nowadays, but just wanted to hear your feedback as I have always loved the look of the blue head and I'd imagine I'd be able to find them for really cheap. Appreciate that alot man! Ha I joke with my friends that I’m still playing my nike clubs not by choice but bc I wasnt able to get a club company to help me until now. These are my last set of clubs from college. Jokes aside tho the nike guys did a phenomenal job in fitting me with these clubs. Honestly would be pretty hard to beat the numbers I get with these clubs with the newer clubs even though these are pretty old.

Haha not stupid at all man! I didnt know anything before I started researching youtube algorithm stuff. TH-cam pays basically pennies for views, I dont even consider youtube ad revenue a source of income because its so small, its a nice tiny bonus though. My patron page on my website actually helps a good bit because even just 2 bucks a month from a small % of subscribers would be more helpful than youtube ad revenue. Likes/dislikes/comments dont get youtubers paid but it helps the youtube algorithm understand its a good video which makes it more likely to be promoted by YT, which in turn could be new subscribers and more views/patrons/clients 👍

Did any "amateur sponsorships" carry through with you after school? I've been in this program with Footjoy/Titleist the past 3 years and I was wondering if you or any of your friends had anything like that carry through graduation into professional golf?
Yes absolutely, your relationships with club companies carry over into pro golf. You may be moved over to a different rep since they most likely have reps for amateur golfers and reps for developmental golfers tho. My buddy has been with ping as a kid and that relationship has def been a big factor for ping helping them out alot. Hes also really solid player so that helps

michael hake Didnt know getting a business visa to go over there was so tedious! I wasnt able to get the visa application through on time based on their projections so I just scrapped the whole australia thing all together. Unfortunate but I know now for the future 👍
