I was played via the long game. First the phone fell in the water, then her car needed to be fixed. The biggest one was when she claimed she had Dengue fever and I fell for it. I supposedly paid for blood, part of her medical bill, etc.
I met someone online. As time went on, she seemed ideal. Nursing school, good family life. Emailed pictures of herself at school, in her uniform. Never any risque pictures. Always classy. We emailed back and forth but never video chatted. Of course, I have learned if the 'pina is not willing to video chat, that's a red flag and I'm out. Anyway, we emailed almost daily. She then slowly hinted that she would need "help" paying for exams and other things in order to get her license to nurse "when/if" she passes her exams. So that was what caused me to block her. I have no problem blocking someone once they start raising red flags. Also I learned, meeting online I think is a good way to meet someone IF you're in the Phils. Otherwise, I now treat any conversation online as a penpal until I'm in the Phils. They fall off quickly once you tell them you want to chat, no LDR, and no money until you've met face to face.
Of course I had a problem or two, but it only took finding 1 good one to end the search. I'm not a chickboy playing games.
Ya these bishs dont invest much time tho in talks like they always bland in conversation for couple months .. you can sense a lack of interest or fun in conversation, laughter , etc . Then couple months go by and they say “ Dee im in hospital and cant pay my bill please help me” or she wont answer when u message her and message back days later “ dee i broke my phone or it got stolen “ and i always say man that sucks lol hope you feel better soon , or get a new iphone !
After year of chatting wasting time tho i did find a nice girl on pinalove from Leyte , she works in Cebu as a care taker of home. Dont ask for anything ! Does not want anything! And she is a smoke show ! Beautiful beautiful girl im still rubbing my eyes 👀 in disbelief lol she looks way to good to be true ) and ive been video chatting so ya its real ) and it does take time maybe for some ! I wish i knew before these scams and not waste time ! Just apply the filters - ask if she works ? And ask if she got education and how her family is if she supporting them etc. those 3 things will help filter out most of them ! All the women who asked me for money had no jobs and i knew that 😅 all wss broke ass lazy chicks
Many will not directly ask for money. They will plant the seed of financial distress and they want you to offer help.

I met a Filipina on line and 2 months later met her. She has never asked me for money and she has great spending habits. She always looks for deals and shops in places that are inexpensive (by Filipina standards). I consider myself lucky to have such a quality young lady in my life.

Frankly, any younger woman going with an older foreigner are all playing the long game. If all other things are equal, a young Filipina marries a young Filipino. That is natural...but things are not equal. So the young woman looks for money and support, and the old foreigner looks for sex and companionship. It is more of a business deal, not really based upon 'more equal environment or natural' love. And yes, many of these girls are pretty and smart enough to juggle many foreigners in an on-line LTR. It is their culture. They see themselves 1st as supporting the family. Look at the bright side, in Columbia, young women are slipping a sedative into your drink, or bring you to a 'trap house' where men pop out and hold you at gunpoint. In the Philippines, your heart and bank account breaks, in Columbia, your life breaks.
You only say that because you are a simp yourself and not familiar with the social dynamics of the philippines and view everything through the lens of a westerner.
Same situation in Thailand : you may lose money but fortunately not your life or all of your possessions...

Someone who was actually successful does not speak about women from such a negative point of view.
Im married to a Filipina for 22 years now. But before l met my wife, l wrote to 12 different ladies, sort of playing them at their own game. Then l found about 3 or 4 scammers, but the rest were honest girls looking for love. Then l narrowed the field down to two girls, then l went over there and eventually married.
My advice then, take it slow before you go and correspond with many over time before going over there and l sure you will pick the right one for you. A scammer always slips up over time.
That’s really a fair comment. I did much the same, started with 5 and narrowed it down to one. Let them know up front, I’m meeting others. They don’t like it but that’s too bad.
These women are not for most of us westerners. It's a fckd up primitive culture. Communication is often challenging. I see them doing all kinds of weird shenanigans. The way they entertain themselves is pretty childish.
Two days ago I went to take a walk outside very early in the morning (in Cebu). I was looking at a construction site and there was a bunch of employees sleeping right on the site in the most fukd up places no one would even imagine. On piles of cement bags, one was sleeping in a wheelbarrow, straighten the ground. I can't even explain that to my friends back home. Who would believe this? I saw so many things I can't even believe.

Like you said, very common. Almost every single guy I know of that had anything to do with a filipina ended up regretting it. One guy I knew back in Malaysia had his filipina wife take every penny he had and took the kids back to the Philippines and sold them to an adoption agency.

The love bombing in chat was the most enthusiastic i ever saw...instant "friends." She had some investment called KAPA Ministry in General Santos City thatveas supposed to pay off big. I tried a small one and it did indeed pay. Then i went for the large one and the Philippines SEC siezed assets of KAPA. But...
Even after she said she was very poor...about a year later she was posting her son graduated Chef School in Boracay. Turns out she never never sent the large money in, but used it to pay for her sons education. She wanted to cease chatting after she got that money 700k pesos. Claims the SEC got it but there was no proof she ever sent it in and she closed her BDO bank account soon after. She never offered to pay 1 peso back. She was poor but could send a son to an elite cooking school in Boracay?
Never again.

Hi Chad, I'm 72 years old and first enjoyed the Filipina experience back in 1972 when I was in the Navy. I was in the Philippines approx 50 times until 1992. Seems the girls back then had the upper edge even more because, initially, all interactions were done in person. With the internet and social media it just gives them the ability to cast a wider net but that's just a "strength in numbers" approach. Imagine sitting in a bar with a few San Miguel's after a month at sea..... you get the picture. They really had the upper edge the.

Ed, I was stationed in the PI in the 70's, I learned everything these guys cry about when I was 17. The chief taught all of us well. I spent thirty years in the Navy and loved playing stupid with the PI girls. You could find a keeper but you needed to know the scams. My favorite was playing with a bar girl for month or six weeks and then out of blue finally start speaking Tagalog to her.
They would freak out and get so pissed.

Ed, you arrived in the PI toward the end of the Vietnam War. Man oh man, it must have really been crazy stupid back then. I didn't arrive in Subic until 1984 from Okinawa with the Marine Corps. Returned the following year during West Pac '85 aboard the USS Cleveland LPD-7. Again, returned the following year being assigned to the Marine Barracks Subic Bay with the Marines from 1986 to 1989. Back in the 70s most of my shipmates had very little respect for Filipinas, especially the bar girls. Most of them (bar girls) were savvy enough to extract a lot of money from horny drunken sailors and marines..... they would ascend on Subic Bay when the ships came in. It was like a beehive .... literally. Then when the ships left they would go back home only to return again. Yup, good times and great memories. I've always liked their smiling faces and their open extended palms.... facing up of course to receive as many pesos as you wanted to give them. Ya gotta live it!

One problem is that even when you meet a friendly Filipina, she often asks you for cash right away, even after 5 min, and sometimes a lot of cash. It's totally shameless and a big turn off.

Sadly, the attraction is likely to be self serving, and no basis for a proper relationship.

Some of these scammers even do this to their relatives. Stuff like they are sick, and need the money immediately for treatment. They will pay them back, blah, blah, blah.
Unless, there is any definite proof, don't fall for it.
Solid coverage on this topic and totally experienced this FIRST HAND. In hindsight, you will have a gut feeling, but the risk is that you ignore it because the amount of money seems small, but week after week, the excuses for suppport requests just keep on coming. Many guys go after a 9 or 10 that's 25 years oe more younger than themselves. My wife to be who I met online in 2015 is just 12 years younger and just wanted a relationship after losing her husband at 42 y.o. She has a house and car. I pay utilities and xtra food for her live in Auntie and our meds and household needs. She was upfront about everything. I have no regrets other than she has 3 dogs too many and the neighborhood is noisy with them and roosters! lol

I have experienced the lomg gamer. Be aware. A lot are in Facebook groups as well. Never give anyone anything. Everyone has a sob story.
A true girl will not ask money period and I speak from personal experience here in the Philippines.
P.S. problem is many expats spoiling them and do send, give them money by which they are buying their relationship and I know some who are giving 20-30k allowance.

I'd consider on line interaction with someone I've never met a 'friendship' rather than a relationship. The signs of a potential scam are there to see if you choose to see them. One thing that makes s scammes stand out is 'greed' the more you give the more they ask for.
But as I stated earlier.
Your money up to you how you spend it.
Once you exist the plane you automatically become rich and handsome.
You're better off just paying for 'favors' directly and have them leave, than go thru all their manufactured drama and BS. Complement her on her beauty, if appropriate, and remind her that there is no pay to play deal, where nothing is offered in exchange--or point and say, "Oh, I think there's a money tree over there..." Then Skedaddle. :P

Finding a partner is not easy. Finding one that's compatible is not easy. Men in general and women for that matter need to learn from their past relationships. You can't keep carrying that relationship baggage, that goes for both men and women. Being sober for over 36 years I have done lots of personal work on myself and dealing with my past and my addictions. Getting to a point of where I was comfortable enough and knowing I was ready to meet a good woman. Knowing what I wanted in a woman having learned from my previous mistakes has worked well for me. Phils and Thai dating sites are only worth the trouble to set up meetings when you're about 2 weeks out of arriving there for routine holidays. No money happens until your Boots are on the ground, then you rent them and pay for their time, 0vernight the longest and then refer to your " Next listing". If you live there keep changing girlfriends.

Great video and information. I personally, would not consider going on a dating site to meet someone. I prefer to travel to the country in person and go from there. There are so many variables in a person’s mindset and personality that you can’t see in a video chat, pictures or phone calls. I would not communicate with a person until I am there in person and then just go out, meet people, and get a feel of the place and the people there. Just my $.02. Take care and stay safe out there.

And be advised that both the short game and the long game are also played in person. The vast majority of the Filipinas you will meet online or in person are just looking for a way out of poverty. Overall, most Filipinas are not the brightest cookie in the jar. however, like the author says, when it comes to scamming you, they are good actors. They play to your emotions by giving you the sob story. run fast if they try that on you. Tip: usually the introverted ones are good, loyal ones that won't ask for money.

Chad.........good topic and insights. I remember, many years ago, some of the girls I knew in college said that many guys think with the wrong head. Not to be crass, but I think they were on to something and it may be a good phrase that applies here in many cases. If a guy is looking for a wife or someone for a longterm relationship, do they really want someone who would send them provocative/intimate videos when the woman barely knows them? I always say that people don't think critically about anything these days. It isn't taught in school. Guys have to think critically as you are in this video. They need to take a figurative step back and assess the situation and the risk of a scam.
Why is it you should get all the benefits you want, but not her? It's a trade off. If your going to the Philippines or wherever searching for a woman, your not high value. She's the higher value because your the one searching. If she's a beautiful young woman she's got lots of choices. Pay for the valuable thing you want.

I like this video I like what you had to say I’ve been married to my Filipino this year we will be married four years we have a three year-old daughter. We live in the states right now, I am 63 years old. She’s a little younger ha ha ha we have a baby on the way and 63 is a beautiful life. She was a province girl Catholic met online at a good honest website site and life has been wonderful. Has it ups and downs but everything has been wonderful And I agree with everything you have said on this video please remind the guys out there looking for a beautiful wife they are plenty of them in the Philippines. You just have to be careful what you do and where you go be careful of the red flags keep up the videos I will catch up. I feel so bad for most young Filipinas who think that foreigners are their life savers. I understand that life back in the Philippines is difficult but it’s not an absolute reason to take advantage of other people. I totally agree not to be carried away with looks. Be smart at all times.
I work in BPO (call center) but I’m not like that and I don’t know anyone in my circle who’s like that. We have a decent job and live decently. Or prolly I haven’t met one who’s a sucker yet within the industry. But pls be aware that there are actually this group of people like some sort of syndicate (not really organized syndicate if u know what I mean). They target foreigners,they call “AFAM” A Foreigner Assigned to Manila (used to be just a gay lingo but both girls and gays use this word nowadays) for financial gain or to scam. These people would hang out in places where foreigners frequently visit. The IT Center has some call center companies as tenants there. So these scammers would hang out there and pretend to be call center employees as well to give a good impression. I’m not saying that that girl you met there really pretended to be a call center agent. Just saying it’s a possibility though.
Guys get a prenup I did but also if you marry her n stay married for 9 months she can qualify for your social security widow benefits n her kids get a check if yiu adopt them ; so keep your saving 401 k for your children from a previous marriage everyone wins

I met a guy who became a friend after we spent six weeks at a R/R training school in Kansas. He was married to a filipina and they lived in Phoenix. He quit his job, got a 16k severance package, and started this new career. From the time he left home for the school to the time he got back she had managed to send it ALL to her family in The Philippines. I actually came back home with him for a week to meet another filipina staying with them. Nothing happened there, but I'll never forget this story. He was furious, but the money was gone.

The long game is hard as many of those guys fall in love and then are easy prey for the manipulation.
Any guy who goes to the philippines and gets a girl the best tip i can give is keep changing hotels that way the girl cant find you and she cant make up some story tell the police and they come knocking looking for you.And also when the girl isnt looking put your wallet,phone etc under the mattress because when you go to sleep she will go looking for your money.
I had several Thai women asking me for money. Send pictures for money. I have always the same answer NO. And they don't ask anymore because they know it's and it stays no.

May I just say, that I believe that these men can feel and see the red flags, but they refused to acknowledge it. I am a Filipina. And I am telling you, regardless they are young or middle age, Once a Filipina is asking you to help her family. My ex was from NC and my bf is from SC but never once I asked money from them. I worked. I have struggles, but I never asked them to send me money.
In 2007 a female friend who was very lonely and in her early 40s was likewise taken in by a Philippine man she met through a work acquaintance in NC. Lo and behold she was invited to his country, went there and met his relatives who naturally all adored her. She came back and told everyone she and her fella were planning a wedding in the Philippines! Everyone’s mouths dropped open! Sounded like a fairy tale! So after a few months back to the Philippines she went, got married, and came back to our workplace with lots of beautiful, colorful wedding photos! He remained in his country. I can only suspect she paid for the wedding and who knows what else. After so long a time, she must have come to her senses, with him staying in the Philippines.…and the marriage was annulled. Lucky she could get out of it!! She really didn’t reveal the details to me, and she left our employer after so long a time. She was a sweet, hard-working, but dare I say gullible person who was taken on a romantic ride.
I very rarely hear stories of Filipino men getting with western women.

In my situation, I've got so many men from all the way across the world playing their love scam. it gets to the point where they end up revealing the truth of what their intentions are or were. Nowadays I'm friends with most of them. Lol.

My heartbreak began when I met the family of my filipina and the dad asked his daughter, my filipina, to ask me for a 5000 peso "loan". Of course he never even tried to repay it which led to more loans for this and that. I was so in love I thought this was the price for being with such an amazing girl. Ten years and thousands of dollars later, we're in Alberta and she's sleeping with other guys and decides to move out. All the sacrifices I made for her and her family meant nothing. Don't let this happen to you.

not just expected. its legally bound too. if you marry a fillipina, her family can sue her for basic nessesities money and as youre married you will be added into the budget too (this law dosent just include the parents but siblings too!!!)

Rules of thumb for finding a partner in Phils... First and foremost, stay away from the dating sites. If you must use a dating site, choose a reputable one and only join once you are in Phils. Scammers will steer clear of you if they know you are in country and can actually find them and have them arrested. Stick to the provinces instead of the city. There are basically no scammers in the provinces. This is from my experiences, however YMMV.
There are plenty of scammers in the provinces. They're just generally not as good at it.

Got a nursing degree. Drivers licence. Her mother came to Australia for 3 years and never has anyone asked for MONEY...!
