I have been using Moto/lenovo phones from 2014 and I'm satisfied. Currently I'm using Edge 30 Ultra. All moto phones are being underrated and not many accessories are also available. Yes updates are very slow but Quality products should always be encouraged

The pin scramble feature I first saw in YONO SBI app. Since it’s a PSU we don’t generally appreciate it but that feature is pretty helpful is having a secure pin to the app.

I hope the motorola's software team sees this, their hardwork paid off. There is still ways to go but they're in the right direction.
The fact that One UI is a separate Tier speaks a lot abt Samsung's position in the Android world
OneUI is basically ANDROID BETA.
Most of Android features, from Multitasking to Customizations, etc are all taken from OneUI by Google.
It's not surprising as OneUI as well as WearOS, both are being developed by Google and Samsung Working together.
That is also the reason why Samsung has Longer Android support than Google Itself.
Not to mention, if there are any new PIXEL exclusive features, within months, they also come to OneUI but no other Brand, not even Brands using Stock Android.

Because the one UI on cheaper Samsung's is just that bad, you pay for the premium, you get the premium experience, and I'd be happy to pay that price if I could afford it in sales😂😂
Outside of one UI, only color os and MyUX are worth considering as good UI, even then color os is only good because of it's features, it's not as beautiful as stock Android, but it's not as hideous as memeui

Also, I know Moto phones are not good at providing the updates at speed, but I always prefer slow updates over fast buggy ones. I got Android 11 on my one fusion plus when everyone else were testing out Android 13 (it is a budget phone, so yeah the delay is reasonable). But when the update did come, nothing bad happened to my phone, while my friends who got it an year early still were facing bugs when I got the update 😂.

Been using the edge 40 which I got recently! Im not a hardcore gamer and I've been using Samsung S series lately! I can assure I don't miss one UI with my UX mostly they have really went from vanilla Android to some useful feature packed UI now! Only downside is no call recording and lack of some one UI tweaks apart from that am happy with the flagship killer like 68W charger in box is super fast and battery back-up is soo great and camera is satisfactory and can't complain! It's waterproof and has NFC, wireless charging and damn the display is one looker for sure! And the curved edge really is attractive over all am just loving the edge 40 and only downside is am not getting any cases or tempered glass elsewhere 😐

What about the scratches? That's the only thing I am worried about which is stopping me from buying this phone. I will be waiting till bbd and am also looking forward to nothing phone 2.
I wasn't a big fan of miui when I first got it but over recent updates I would say it's the best for security and privacy.
Maybe its a good thing that Motorola takes some time to push OS updates only after the initial set of bugs have been fixed. I feel ASUS and / or Motorola can really rule the market with the quality of their products. thanks for the discussion.

motorola is super slow from what ive seen. I had a samsung a52 on android 13 before some motorolas got android 12 updates, and i never had issues with android 13 on my samsung
@@thunder4808 maybe.. however in my case i have had 4 phones from Asus and my current one asus zenfone max pro m1 is rock solid and still going strong after 5 years. Reimaged with CherishOS ROM and enjoying latest Android 13 + customizations.
@@itsme123126 mostly motorola will not have the bloatware that come in all other midrange phones and their hardware is very good. Slowness is also attributed to the OS and optimizations that may be missing. If hardware is good, simply reimage with any custom ROM and you are good to go. The NAND flash on most brands like vivo, oppo may be of lesser TBW since they although operate fine initially but after 1-2 years go sluggish. Even Samsung M series ones display similar issues. Not sure what the real issue is, heard this from friends who had bad experiences.

I think you should also mention the new SIDEBAR feature in the Android 13 upgrade. Its really useful for multitasking and even opens apps in Freeform window………….

I have used Motorola phones for 5 years.
The Peek display is my most favourite feature and the chop chop torch and double twist for the camera is also pretty useful and ready for PC is also a good gesture from Motorola.

I have get my new motorola edge 40 today and while charging my phone for first time it's is getting heated is it normal or it always heats .....
I have been using my moto g40 fusion (15K) for more than a year. I don't have features mentioned in this video except the peek display. Still I'm happy with it because of its specs and clean UI
That peek display is even in my 2017 Moto g5s plus and works flawlessly
Yeah that pin pad scrambler enabled. But still weird because on app locks it doesn't appear which is fine though because the app lock is from app itself. Then comes some features deep in moto setting and once I enabled by mistake or to check. Had to search a lot to disable. That drop down notification to open in a floating window
I've always loved moto phones over other brands but had to buy a samsung due to silent call recording feature. Else always have choosen it over any other. Another thing that I can ignore is the camera quality but it's update policy bothers me more.
Business mai people need to record important calls in order to recall an important conversation, my dad did the same because its a life saver

Samsung also has App timer feature, and I have set Instagram for 3 hours and TH-cam for 2.5 hours. It does not show time left all the time to irritate me, but that gives warning that only 10 minutes has left I can add 10 minutes more.

I guess the delay in moto update is justified...given that moto has so many features and going through all of them while an Android update has to gotta take time. I would prefer a late and stable update like the motos...rather than the one plus updates that blow up your screen display.
Turn down the refresh rate to 60hz, you'll see cuts in animations while navigating, opening, closing apps. Really frustrating as my other budget Redmi device's 60hz is fine. Also, when you play games without game launcher and you get a call, the first time you get a popup notification of the call (as it should), but when the same person calls me the second time, it takes me to the caller screen which is really annoying. These are minor little bugs that are so annoying but can be fixed by simple updates. However, I can't deny the rest.
Backtap is not just exclusive to iphone, pixel and moto, it's also available on samsung (with lot more option with addition of routines)

About updates moto is slow in providing updates but that was my main reason for buying it because it's better to have late updates rather than having a dead phone or a pinstripe on the display with faster updates

Been using edge 20 pro since about a year daily 2-3 hours of gaming. It handles everything like a champ no frame drops as long as my wifi is supportive. 😆

Motorola may have some extra features but they don't have very basic features like Pocket Mode. I have Motorola edge 20 fusion and I can't use attentive display because the Music Plays automatically by the accidental touches and this drains the battery very quickly.
Even in one more case when a phone Call comes it automatically gets picked or get declined up by the mistouch in the pocket . And sometimes the Lock screen pin gets automatically clicked by the mistouch.

May get the Moto Edge 40 pro or the Razr 40 ultra (latter looks really appealing) for my next phone upgrade. Rocking a Vivo x60 since 2021 and it's been a great buy (the lack of dual speakers and poor haptics are the biggest cons). Funtouch OS is ok.

The peek display feature is there for literally a loooong time in Moto. Even my first phone Moto E4 Plus(2017) had that too. Nothing new in that one.

I don't understand the numbering of motorola's any longer.
But one issue that bugged me was when people call me on whatsapp video call the audio would be too low. So I would have to hang up and call them back in order to get the audio over video call back to audible level. I hope they fixed this is in their midrange offerings.
peek display feature has been there since motorola g3 (android 6.0) , along with double chop for torch and quick camera launch , it my favourite feature
i freakin love peek display. .. its just so damn good..
But one of the slightly annoying things with it is that when I am reading the notification using peak display it sees my face and unlocks the phone instead 😅😅
@@rishiredij2449 you may have enabled attentive display which then results in unlocking of the smartphone. if you want you can turn it off, in this way you can also use peek display

Peak display has a annoying thing, you can't go to lockscreen from peak display. We can swipe up and get to the unlocking screen either pattern or pin but we don't see lockscreen.
I'll rather prefer late or no updates over frequent updates which break my phone phone and it's hardware *cough cough poco

Secure wifi is amazing i think every phone should have this... May be it can save people from frauds ... Allow apps only on certain wifi networks else use mobile network ... (For all banking apps) and this can be a game changer...

If you buy a Motorola phone remeber 2 things
1. Don't expect Android update
2. Don't waste time finding accessories in the market you won't find any.
Android updates do come but late... After one month most of the accessories were available in Flipkart or Amazon

Peek display is not that good, because some people hide the contents of their notifications like they don't want others to see who message them, so it's not that good if we leave our phone somewhere for a few minutes and other people can check it out
If they provide call recording features that don't have any announcements it will be great.
I've tried using Moto phones but the main thing which stops me from ever purchasing Moto is its UI. After using one ui I just can't bring myself to use another phone. One UI is just on another level.
Can't praise motorola for its update policy but one thing which I like most about their phone is the software UI. Motorala phones UI are far better than any other UI in the market. It is polished and well designed UI with all the necessary features.
I don't really care about fast major updates, you've seen what early A12 rollouts did to pixel, samsung and others. Honestly taking time out to fine-tune updates and removing known issues and then well though out release is much prefered.
At the same time people complaining about having not enough features in motorola, I mean if you want all those extra added features just go with the Samsung, realme, Oppo.
My first mobile was moto driod ultra, I purchased it in 2011 and most of the features are available on that like flashlight, camera, Web secure and etc

I've veen using edge 30 pro for months now and the experience is so so good that i don't wanna go back to any other skin
the only problem I'm facing is screen flickering like serious flickering and ide know if this is a hardware issue or software issue

Amoleds has screen flickering issues if DC dimming is not provided.
When lowering the refresh rate of an moto phone, the screen itself becomes slower.
I can only see flickering at bright colours in 48 and 60hz, not at 120 or 144.
and then again, only if the screen is displaying white and is really bright set.

Okay that wifi thing is new stuff I didn't explore it. But I thought it didn't allow data restrictions like both mobile data and wifi for an app , like realme ui does
The secure folder has issues with a recent update sadly that it will not recognize the pin after it updates despite already having a pin code
