Great video. Windex is good for cleaning but it does not put a thin protective film on the chrome. A film will protect it longer from pitting and hazing. Lemon pledge has a film agent and works very well on chrome. It even removes baked on bug splatters. If you have any rust and pits, spray a little water on the chrome and gently rub aluminum foil over the rusty sport. A chemical reaction will remove the rust. 0000 steel wool also works well, even better with a drop of oil.

I use a feather duster to get all the dust off. You really can get into tight places and percents scratches. I also use on my cars. And I used my mom's pledge back in early 80's on my mustang it worked great, but it didn't keep the shine as long as Armor All.

The lemon pledge does work and to save even more money, you don't need to use the brand name. I am currently using a can of Food Lion lemon furniture polish I bought from the supermarket. Food Lion lemon furniture polish is the store brand, and it works! I've been using the "lemon pledge/Windex" trick on my 07 Yamaha Royal Star tour deluxe since new and she shines like a diamond every time. You are cleaning and waxing at the same time with it. Word of caution though with the pledge, I've found that the bees and hornets seem to be more attracted to the bike because of the lemon oil citrus smell your bike will have. So if you are allergic to bee stings be careful! Still worth it though.

Ammonia can cloud plastics including the window on your fairing. I cannot say there is enough concentration in the window cleaner but cheaper brands may. I have denim black paint on my VRod and Harley said in the owners book to use Windex to clean the paint. Vinegar base window cleaner works quite well. Pledge also works well on the seat spray on rag then wipe. Dont saturate just use like you were dusting. I hear baby wipes really take the crap off.... Learned, do not Armor All the hand grips, seat and tires...
Here is an FYI that some dont know. The yellow pollen that gets everywhere, looks like little burs if you magnify them and they stick to stuff. They are also organic and will mold and rot. That can eat into the clear coat on your paint. Water alone is not always enough to remove that stuff. The cars that have that black mold look is from the pollen. It is made to do a job and sticky is part of it. There is a joke in there... So dont think that a ride around the block blows it off.
Yogi here is another tip but you must be careful. You can use ceramic flattop stove cleaner to polish paint. Its very mild compound. It works awesome on rattle can touch ups. It can be used for those ring scratches but I would practice on something first.

I clean my charcoal denim paint with windex. That’s how my local harley told me if i dont want to use their products

Same on my denim black. Anything else destroys the matte finish. If I wash it I use dawn dishwashing liquid.

I have a Suzuki DRZ400. All black. I thought Armer-all was best because it also has UVA and UVB protection. So you feel lemon pledge is better than Armer-all? Thanks mate ☺️👍

I like the pledge for the paint and plastics yes. Does it t have UVA and UVB? That I don’t know but I know it looks pretty darn good for a $2 bottle versus some $16-$20 name brand motorcycle this is the bomb type stuff. Armor all is probably another good choice too.
