I have a 22’ Mojave on a 3.5” lift and 37”. It has been absolutely flawless in over 2 years of commuting, range roads, forest service roads and a couple Canadian winters. Oil changes take 10 minutes, lifts are easy to install and rear legroom (for a mid) is best in class. Its the best vehicle Ive owned. Tradec in my TRD pro 6 speed manual Tacoma for my first Gladiator and never looked back. Do miss my 3.0 diesel i had last but those can be ticking time bombs over time.
You got it Ben put in a real engine with real power. Accessories are nice but people want performance for that money. Nice video.
If they would put the new twin turbo I6 motor in the Glad it would be game on with the Ranger Raptor, ZR2 and Trail hunter mid size trucks. The rear seat room and storage in the Glad if definitely better than the other mid size trucks.
The na v6 is better than a turbo
Of course they are having problems with the hurricane already.
@@371kennywhat problems?
Do some heavy duty off roading smash that front end and what happens to all that suspension components on that front ?
86k holy chit I just vomited a month worth of food do they really think someone will buy it even with a discount in today’s economy? 86k no vented seat , no power seats crappy leather seats from what I see yes yes I know it’s a Jeep but 86k is 86k no matter what car it is ohh let’s not forget those silly little things called taxes , interest rate this thing could easily go for96k a hard hell no I’ll just laugh at the fool buying it
I'd think the 285hp V6 would struggle turning those 37's. For the $22k AEV package they should include some engine power upgrades of some kind.
Put some 4.56 or 4.88 gears in there and it'll be fine.
They regear the axles. That's how you compensate for larger tires. There is no safe and reliable way to add power to the 3.6L Pentastar. AEV built plenty of JT370s with the diesel when it was possible. Blame Jeep. I don't think there's realistically anything AEV can do. Engine swaps, even to just a 5.7L Hemi, are $30K+ alone and wouldn't include any of the suspension modifications, tires and wheels, armor, winch, etc.
@PeakDeclintge new computers are encrypted so no tune. Period. No turbo. No blower. Nothing. Fuck fca/Stellantis. 2020 or older are fine. We are in a stalemate until they fix that bs.
@@scottleggejr This has been going on for over a decade. The encryption will be cracked, bypassed, the keys "leaked" eventually. And there are Supercharger kits available for JL and JT. The Pentastar can't handle it long term.
@@PeakDecline I have an 2022 392 and an LS swapped 2010 JK in my driveway brother 🤙 pulled it with lifter tick at 60k miles and threw it in the trash. These minivan engines gotta go! The EV bullshit has to go! No hybrid BS either! Garbage.
Cool Jeep gladiator like it good for anything you throw at
Hey, ben there are aftermarket companies that will put a demon engine in the jeep wrangler or gladiator, with an upgraded transmission and drive shaft here in Illinois.😊😊😊.
Aloha Ben. This is an awesome build-up Gladiator, but it's very expensive.
Cant even check the oil in a hurricane. No dipstick. The amount of sensors and extra crap is gonna be ridiculous
My 21 jlur handles better with the 2.5" Skyjacker lift, blackmax shocks and Rock Jock control arms now, over the stock setup. The stock suspension rode softer but was scary in a quick maneuver situation.
Nice review, but I disagree on engine - Pentastar is quite reliable now and not turbo charged. I doubt new Italian engine will be as reliable long term.
It's a Mexican engine, but who's counting. Pentastar, though reliable, is severely underpowered
@@robertannable9584most of them get totaled from behind like my ex wife 😂
If there's one change I wish AEV would make... a replacement rear track bar with a tire clearance bend. A lot of lift manufacturers offer this now. It allows you to fit a 37" tire in the Gladiators stock spare location instead of using up the valuable bed space.
Look at that reservoir it’s inches away from the bumper a hard enough hit / accident it’s shot now ur in city no problem if things go wrong u get a tow truck ur on the trail what happens then ? 2nd and most important ave is a low number produced trim at 86k msrp topping out at close 92-96k it is outrageously overpriced missing not key accessories but at that price mandatory regardless of it being a Jeep but bc of it’s price stop being a Jeep fan/ducky boy and become a smart consumer
@@johnfranktullo3463 You need your eyes checked. Also proof read what you write. You're barely writing what qualifies as English.
2.22 , that's a stock Mopar Rubicon rear bumper
2024 Jeep Gladiator JT Rubicon AEV JT370 Bison 3.6L V6 8-Speed Automatic Crew Cab 4X4!
I think at one point there was a plan to put a dual turbocharger on that Pentastar V6 and put it in a Maserati. I don't know if that ever happened, but they could probably do that and get ~ 450 HP out of it. Their new straight 6 might not fit in the Gladiator, but maybe a blower on the v6 might be the ticket.
Maserati has twin turbo versions of this V6 in most of their cars now.
When are we going to see the Hurricane I6 in a Gladiator?
In desperate need of more power
Especially towing that 5k it claims to be able to pull. 🤮 Get out of the way or off the road.
@@scottleggejr the 3.6 Penestar is an amazing engine and they have been using it for almost 15 years straight, which is really impressive. People really drive these jeeps with this power plant out in the middle of nowhere for days on end and beat them up for years and they do great but after 15 years, we don’t want it anymore and they are desperate need of something more powerful like it’s ridiculous
@@blakemarchand6650 you could say the same thing about the 4.0 and 4.2 but it's outdated for how people use jeeps. I think they're reliable but disposable with a lot of critical components which are wear items.
@@scottleggejr I don’t know anything about the 4.2 but the 4.0 in-line six has been great for many people those are supposed to be really robust and reliable. I think I have 216,000 miles on my 4.0 inline six 2 door YJ
@@blakemarchand6650 Yea an XJ with a 4.0 had a 0-60 of 8.2s. The quickest JT is 7.2s, and JL 7.4s according to car and driver. The 392 (RIP💀) is 4.0s which is silly quick.
Put a hemi in the gladiator!😊
Let it sit a while it will go down by 10k in no time
That Pentastar V6 has been a gutless dog ever since they introduced it. I was disappointed when they put it into the Wrangler/Gladiator. Pretty much in any configuration, it's just worthless, and reliability has been pretty poor. Then they made the 392 version, but it only comes with an automatic and the price is insane. I agree that it would be a significant improvement with a diesel, a straight-6 like the Hurricane, or even the 5.7 Hemi. No need for the 392. A 5.7 Hemi and a manual transmission in a Wrangler/Gladiator would be all you'd ever want or need.
The 2024 Colorado ZR2 Bison is AEV and around $65K. Case closed
What a ripoff.
I feel clickbaited as in 370 was hp. Jt are simply too under powered. People try to use these pos to tow boats and block the road because they're so limp dick. All the style bs doesn't make up for running out of accelerator pedal.
Jeep can't sell the regular gladiator models at the price they charge for the various models whats make them think they can add a bunch of aev parts and sell the same vehicle they can't sell at an even higher price.
Should just get a Ram Rebel if you want a truck, gladiators are a compromised choice…not as good as a ram for doing truck things and too big to be as good as a wrangler in most off-road situations.
86k no No f¥cking way 😂
Put the new Hurricane engine in this thing and it'd be a killer.
Put a Cummins in it!
I’d rather have a Mahindra Roxor. They are way cheaper and more reliable! Cheers!
Jeep Gladiator is a bad buy if you ask me, Weak engine, Small tires, Expensive! Jeep needs to step things up!
The V6 is underpowered compared to other Turbo 4s in the class, I agree. But the 32s are comparable in size to every other truck on the market, and the 33s on the Rubicon and Mojave are bigger than anything else aside from a ZR2 (which also has 33s). The ZR2 Bison has 35s. The Gladiator needs that option but it also takes very, very little to get there in the aftermarket (a 1-2" level, and some wheels with a more negative offset is pretty much it across the entire lineup).
Yeah no one asked lol everyone who drives one loves it
That's what the AFTERMARKET is for.
86k??!! R u kidding me, what a joke and they don't even give it a v8 or at least a turbo!! Insane!! So fed up with these absurd prices.
No JT 392 is a total fail. Id buy one tomorrow and put it on 40s but that truck is too lame.
That’s a weak-ass truck for $86K. At that price it should come with a V8. The execs at Stellantis need to get some sense knocked into them.
i rather do rough country mods
aev
Haha only 86k 😂😂
Jt not JL
🎉👍👍💖👍👍🎉
Jeep did a terrible job of promoting the upcountry fits for 2024. I just purchased my3rd Gladiator(Anvil Max Tow). Love these trucks but I wish the stupid European parent company wises up.
Hiddous over priced trouble.
